Epilogue #2
He grinned suddenly, reaching inside his coat. “I have something for you.” He handed me twenty dollars.
My eyebrows shot up in confusion.
“Ten years ago I bet you twenty dollars that I would marry a hellcat who defied all our rules. I win.” He looked extremely pleased with himself.
“Am I not supposed to pay you?” I queried.
“True,” he replied, snatching the note from between my fingers. “Thank you for acknowledging my win.”
I narrowed my eyes at him, but he was determined not to be deterred from his games.
“Have I told you how stunning you are tonight?” Maximus asked.
“I believe you said ravishing earlier,” I replied. “That implies you intend to eat me.”
His eyebrows shot up. “When did my wife get so bossy?”
I slid my arms around his neck to tug his head down to mine. “Around the time my husband told me he loved me.”
“Oh.” His fingers dug into my ass. “Maybe I should have held back on that.”
“Shut up and kiss me,” I demanded.
His lips always left me desperate and breathless, stealing my willpower, and sending tingles down my spine to gather between my thighs. They were my weakness as they caressed mine, his tongue teasing the tip of mine. His kisses drugged and left me powerless against him.
“Maybe I should reclaim some of my power,” Maximus said against my lips.
I didn’t understand what he was saying as he moved me across the room, my clothing disappearing as his hands worked while his mouth plundered mine.
“I don’t know what I did to deserve this, but I refuse to give you to a better man,” he said, stepping back to allow his rough hands to trail over my naked body. “You are beyond perfect.”
This building was a place of fantasy and submission.
The silk ribbons that he used to tie me to the bed were tame in comparison to some of the scenes I had witnessed under this roof, but submission wasn’t about pushing someone’s boundaries until they broke.
It was a mutual understanding of need and desire.
Maximus slowly removed his clothing while I watched the show. I would never tire of seeing his body, the tattoos up his sides highlighting the muscles of his abdomen. He was art in flesh, and his long, thick cock jutting toward me with the piercings shining was an instrument of pleasure.
He crawled between my legs, his body big and strong over mine.
There was never a day that he didn’t make me feel safe.
His lips and fingers created erotic trails over my heated flesh, the bindings on my wrists and ankles holding me while he tormented me.
I wanted to wrap my legs around his lean waist, trail my fingers through his hair, but he held me captive.
That delicious mouth made me scream in pleasure, his fingers finding the spot he promised me he knew the destination of. My entire body arched as an orgasm crested over me, sending ripples of pleasure from my core to my extremities, and making my pulse thud in my ears.
I barely had time to recover when his long, hard length speared deep into me, lodging Maximus in my core, and creating a bond that made us one entity.
“I swear you’re trying to kill me,” I muttered, trying to wiggle my hips to release some of the pressure.
“I’m trying to impregnate you,” Maximus replied, his fingertips skimming the side of my stomach. “The ring on your finger shows the world your mine, but children in our home makes us a family.”
“There’s nothing I want more than to share our love,” I said. “I believe our chances of success increases with the number of orgasms.”
“Really?” he elongated the word. “I supposed I need to practice then.”
I nodded seriously. “Practice does make perfect.”
His hips moved back to thrust inside me with a force that made me bite my bottom lip.
“Open your eyes,” he demanded. I hadn’t even realised I’d closed them to experience that delicious friction. “I love you, Olivia. From now to the end of time.”
“It’s only ever been you,” I replied. “I’ve loved you what feels like forever.”
His lips found mine, his body owning mine in a dance older than time. War may be waiting for us, but Maximus and I would face every battle together. Happy endings weren’t handed out like awards, they were earned, and I had every intention of us watching our grandchildren playing in our garden.
Maximus had been my secret fantasy, and now my husband. Some dreams were worth taking a risk on because they were the manifestation of the deepest wish of your heart.
Love wasn’t a four letter word, it was emotion felt in every action and touch. It was a candle which gave warmth and light into the life of the person you shared it with.
Maximus was that guiding light, now and forever.
