Chapter 15
I lied my ass off. Atlanta wasn’t my new home.
I was with Trey. He was someone I confided in when I found out I was pregnant, and he just took me on a month-long trip.
The business was for sale because I didn’t want the emotional attachment to Law.
He bought it, and I didn’t want to deal with it or him.
I was living my best damn life right now.
“Your baby daddy cool?” Trey asked.
“Yea, he’ll be fine. What else you got planned for me tonight?”
He licked his lips and slapped my ass. I already knew what that meant.
At first I was afraid to have sex with Trey while being pregnant, but I was still very early in my pregnancy and who else to have with than someone I had been with before.
Trey was treating me ten times better than Law was, and right now we both had an agreement that we were just friends with a little bit of benefits.
“When you get back to Savannah, do you think you going to give him another chance?” Trey asked me this at least twice a day.
“Why do you ask me that so much?”
He reached in his pocket to grab his ringing phone. Since we been out tonight, his phone had rung a total of thirty-three times. I was a woman, and we were the only fools that had the time to sit and call a nigga back to back; he never answered. He finally put it on vibrate.
“Because I know when you love a nigga, you love hard.”
“Who keep calling you?” I asked when his shit started buzzing again.
“It’s my job. You know I took a leave of absence and they trying to figure out when I’m coming back.”
I looked at my watch to see the time as he pulled into traffic.
It was damn near midnight so what kind of job was calling?
Plus, I could tell when Trey went to lying.
The bridge of his nose would start sweating and he would twitch.
If he had a bitch back home, then cool. We was just having fun to get my mind off of Law.
A simple getaway and a few nights of fucking ain’t never hurt anyone.
We got back to our room and I peeled my clothes off to take a shower.
I was full and Trey was full of alcohol.
My mood for sex was gone and I prayed he would be sleep when I got out of the shower.
Before stepping in the shower, I read all the threats from Law.
It was cute but I knew when I touched back down, it was going to be a damn fight.
I had no idea he was going to wait so long to open the damn bag. It was his fault, not mine.
I was so glad Trey was sleep in the bed with his clothes fully on.
His phone was cuffed in his hand, lighting up.
He was too drunk to even feel it vibrating and I wasn’t about to wake him up.
I laid down next to him and closed my eyes as a snap went off on my phone.
Once I read it, my head started pounding.
I went in my contacts and unblocked Law.
Me: What is it? It’s late and I’m trying to go to sleep.
Law: I don’t give a fuck really. When are you coming back to Savannah?
Me: A few weeks
The three dots popped up then they disappeared.
I didn’t want to go back and face my life.
If I could stay here, I would. Jill decided to keep our spot and take over the rent while I moved my shit into a one-bedroom that I have yet to stay in.
It was a dumb ass move, but at the time, I didn’t know if I was keeping the baby.
I shut my phone completely off and put it on the charger next to the bed. Trey was lightly snoring and had let his phone fall to the floor. I hoped that the bitch that was calling him would let us rest. She wasn’t giving up but it didn’t stop me from going to sleep.
Nothing is worse than being tired and someone waking you up out your sleep.
The knocking on the door just wouldn’t go away.
Ignoring it wasn’t going to help so I got up and slipped some clothes on and walked to the door.
Housekeeping was aggravating as hell at this hotel.
When I popped that door open, I didn’t expect to see Lana hoe ass standing at the door.
“Lana, what you doing in Atlanta?” I asked. She was too damn poor to leave Savannah unless she was here with a dope boy from the hood. All she was good for was catching cum.
“Bitch move!” She pushed me out of the way and walked into the room.
“Wait a damn minute bitch. What the fuck you want in here?”
She ignored me and walked over to the bed and slapped the shit out of Trey. He didn’t know what the fuck hit him. Now my interest was piqued because Lana was not Trey’s type, but then again a hoe ass nigga didn’t have a type.
“Lana, what the hell you doing here?” He wiped the slob from his mouth.
“I called you over fifty times last night. The last text you sent me was your location, so I decided to borrow my mama’s car and pull up on your ass to find out why the fuck you ain’t been dropping the money off for our daughter.”
My stomach started hurting when she said that. Lana ass was rumored to have herpes since I could remember. Now I was pissed off with Trey for trying me like this. He had me in another city acting like we were cool.
Trey got up out the bed and looked directly at me but I was too busy trying to get my shit together so I could get the fuck away from him. Him and Lana could figure this shit out without me involved. I had my own issues and I didn’t need to beef with her about something that wasn’t mine.
“I’m assuming he didn’t tell your ass about his daughter? If he didn’t, you wouldn’t be just laying up with anyone. I don’t know why you can’t leave his ass alone; he ain’t never been faithful to your ass.”
“Lana, don’t take your anger out on me bitch. Keep that fuck shit over there with his weak ass. I didn’t fuck you, he did. Now, if you want beef, then let’s handle the shit now because when I get back to Savannah, I’m not going to be in the mood to fight your ass about community dick.”
Lana knew just as well as Trey knew that I would fight a bitch even if I lost. I wasn’t a scary chick and I’ll go to war about my respect.
She was entitled to feel how she wanted to but fucking with me because of some shit he didn’t do had nothing to do with me.
I don’t want to be laid up with a nigga that couldn’t take care of his child.
“You came all this way for money?” Trey dug in his pockets and pulled out everything that was in there. It wasn’t much because his ass was broke. I was paying for everything pretty much.
“It’s more than that.”
“Summer, stop packing your shit.” He walked up to me but Lana punched him in his face. They started fighting so bad that I walked out as they were breaking the television.
I called Uber and took my ass to another room down the road until I rented a car to take my ass back to Savannah tomorrow. Niggas wasn’t shit but I knew that already. Now, I had to go and make sure I didn’t have a damn outbreak from his dirty ass.
