I rolled onto my back, and I was dozing off. I opened my eyes to see Solo standing at the side of the bed. He was putting on his clothing to leave. I was officially tapped out. But I didn’t expect us to all fall asleep together and cuddle.

Once he was dressed, I walked him to the door of the hotel. Once we were in the living room, he backed me into the wall and kissed me.

“I need that again.” He groaned as he pinched my nipple through the material of my robe.

“I hear you.”

He traced my lip with his finger and then stuck it into my mouth.

“Yeah, I’ma need that.” He chuckled, doubling down.

“See you later,” I smirked as I rubbed his dick. He opened the door and then disappeared behind it.

I chuckled once it shut. I was just on “demon time” tonight. But there was no way that I would fuck Solo again. He had a big dick, the curve was nice, and he was very aggressive, which I liked. But again, not every interview got a call back.

The door closed softly, and then I turned around and went back into the room with A. He was lying on his back with his forearm over his face.

“You want to take a shower with me?” I asked. I had to wash all this lube off my body. There was no way I’d sleep comfortably otherwise.

He didn’t answer, just got off the bed and took another shot of whatever kind of cognac that was.

We got in the shower, normally it was sensual, and he was always touchy-feely with me. But tonight it was different, and now that we were alone, I was going to figure out why.

“A what’s wrong? And before you lie and tell me it’s nothing. It’s clearly something.” I asked as I sat down on him, waiting for his response.

He chuckled, and then he looked up at me. He looked me dead in my eyes and said, “I didn’t think I was going to care. But I don’t want to see another nigga touching you at all.”

The words had me taken aback a little. I didn’t expect him to be jealous about Solo. I guess if I had known that, I wouldn’t have gone through with it. At least not with him.

“So why didn’t you tell me?” I asked him.

“Shit caught me off guard; I didn’t realize it until I saw y’all kiss, and I wanted to shoot him.” He shrugged.

He wasn’t the only person caught off guard. I snorted. Then I composed myself.

“A, please. I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable, ever.

You should have said something.” That was me, honestly speaking.

We had spent so much time together over the last few months that I knew feelings would soon develop.

I would be lying if I said I didn’t like him.

He was a sweet man, and he made me feel good.

But I just knew that there would be a moment when that would abruptly turn off, and that wasn’t fair to him.

“I’m good, baby.”

“You sure?” I asked.

“Yeah, I’m cool.” He said.

I nodded and stood, and we showered separately, and then we lay in the bed in the other room because the sheets in the primary suite were sticky and wet.

When I woke up this morning, I was alone in bed.

I rolled over groggily and reached out for A, and that’s when I realized that he wasn’t there.

I pulled myself up and pushed my hair away from my face before I walked through the suite and saw no sign of him.

His clothes were off the floor, and his watch was missing from the nightstand.

Now someone else would be in their feelings about it, but the first thing I did was laugh. Because I was notorious for leaving like a thief in the night, and someone had finally gotten my ass. I went over to my phone and then opened it. The first thing that I saw was a message from him.

Security Big A: I’ll be downstairs when you’re ready to check out, Boss Lady.

I chuckled because we had definitely gone back to formalities. I shook my head because the whole night I thought I was getting some dick. A was over there coming to the realization that the woman he thought I was, is actually a hoe. Life comes at you fast, man.

I skipped the morning shower and threw on a dress from inside my bag. I was ready to rid myself of the night, and I’d soak when I got home.

I did one final sweep of the room before I left and headed downstairs so that he could drop me off. Then I sent him a text message to let him know that I was coming.

When I made it, I opened the door on my own and put my bag in the seat beside me instead of waiting for him to get out.

I didn’t address him, and he didn’t make an effort to address me either.

I still caught eyes with him in the rearview mirror but turned away. I cared about him, true. But I wasn’t in the business of pacifying anyone. There was nothing that I could say that could ease how he felt anyway. What happened, happened. And I had a ball.

The drop-off at my home was just as silent. I opened the door, grabbed my bag, and walked into my home without a word from him.

I won’t say he’s ruined the experience for me, because nothing could have.

What’s done is done. I had a magnificent night, and I would do it again.

I wasn’t affected by his anger. What is new to him is a normal day for me.

He’d come around eventually when he missed me.

But if not, my schedule is suddenly clear.

Let the good times roll.
