Chapter 63
BLAIZE
Ipulled up to Hunter’s house when I got back to Briarwood.
Kadence was staying with Annika tonight, and wanted to do something special tomorrow that involved me in a private room waiting for her at the club.
I had my own surprise for her, as well, and we would have a date tomorrow evening after her surprise.
Hunter was on her couch nursing a bottle of water with a bottle of tequila in front of her. I couldn’t tell if she was drunk or if she was crying. It might be a combination of both. “Are you okay?”
“I feel like there is a serrated knife in my heart. Feelings are for the fucking birds,” she scoffed. “I. Hate. This.”
“I would say it gets better, but heartbreak of any kind stings.”
She chugged the water down. “I am trying my best not to get shitfaced and do something irrational. I’m feeling stabby and homicidal.”
“Save that energy for when we find her. What do you need from me?”
“What I need and what I want will test limits.”
“Tell me.”
“I want to fuck her,” she deadpanned. “I want to fuck the brat out of her and hear her scream. She wants to be a pretty fucking tease. She also said she would help me in any way, so.”
I nodded. I knew Kadence had an attraction to Hunter.
When she planned on sleeping with her to hurt me, she chose Hunter for more than just our friendship.
I saw the way she gave her curious glances and watched her when she was on stage with a sub.
Kadence wanted to know Hunter’s kink, but she wanted to experience it together.
“Okay. I already know how she feels about being shared, and it wouldn’t be the first time we did it. If she says no, then it’s done. Are you going to be okay enough to perform Friday? I’m gonna have her watch one of your shows with one of the submissives.”
Hunter pulled her blonde hair up, putting it in a messy bun. “I know how to handle kink even when I am a fucking mess. I’m going to be fine by Friday. Kink is my coping mechanism, and now I have to find someone else.”
“Kadence will be able to handle almost everything you dish out to her. I’m not sure how much pain she’d be able to handle, but we can test the waters. You know when to stop me and I you. I won’t let you slip and accidentally hurt her.”
“I won—”
“Just because you say you won’t doesn’t mean you won’t slip somewhere else.
I taught you. I know the game. How do you think I hurt girls before when they wanted a night with me?
Kink doesn’t mix well with emotional turmoil, but I trust you enough to focus.
I also know when and if I need to stop you, and Kadence has her safe word along with whoever you scene with Friday. ”
When I arrived home, I missed my girl, but I knew she needed time with her friend.
I decided to lean into a friend myself. Cinder would be back in Westhaven in a month or so with a new shipment, but she was also here months back when I was an idiot.
Cinder would check in when she could, but I knew she had her own shit to deal with in Briarwood.
I Facetimed her, and she answered on the second ring. She looked disheveled when she answered, but she replaced it with a smile. “Howdy, Blaize.”
“You okay, El?”
“Same shit different day.”
I had a feeling it had something to do with her sister, but Cinder only told me certain things. If she had information or needed to tell me something, she would tell me in person. “Uh huh. Stop stressing or you’ll get grey hair.”
“My sister gives me enough greys runnin’ these streets all the time. Why did I decide to give her a bike for her birthday?”
I laughed. “Following in her sister’s footsteps. Is everything okay over there?”
“Yeah. I have everything handled here. No one is threatening anything and shipments are rolling in. Melisa and I should be back up there in a few weeks.”
“I’m working on my own shipment. There is too much going on for me to leave, but I might send one of my men.”
“If you do send one of your men, send me his picture so I can let my people know. We don’t like strangers in town.”
A woman of my own heart. “Understood. I will let you know. Also, don’t do anything stupid.”
She smirked. “No promises. I’ll talk to you soon, Blaize.”
I had a feeling Cinder would cause me issues from three thousand miles away, but she was a damn good ally.
