Chapter 8 #4

I imagined standing where he put me, hands at my sides, forced to stop performing and wait for his attention. His silence behind me. The knowledge that he was not angry. That the rule remained even when I pushed it.

My breath had gone shallow.

Sal’s gaze dropped briefly to my chest.

He could see what the conversation was doing to me. My nipples were hard beneath the sweater. My whole body felt tuned too tight.

“Corner time,” he repeated.

“Yes. I know it’s silly b—”

“For what?”

“Deliberate disobedience. Low stakes.”

“Never mistakes.”

“Never.”

“Never fear responses.”

“Never.”

“Never genuine danger or failure to understand an instruction.”

I nodded, the heat dangerously spreading through me.

He wrote each exclusion.

The care he took with them made the arousal worse.

“And spanking,” I said quickly.

His pen stopped.

The silence became heavy.

I forced myself to meet his eyes.

“Spanking?” he repeated.

“Yes.”

“Hand?”

My pussy clenched.

“Mostly.”

“Mostly?”

“Perhaps a belt. Eventually. Not at first. We could explore.”

His breathing changed.

He wrote slowly.

“I’d want you bare, if you’re agreeable.”

My face burned.

“Yes. I’m agreeable.”

“Over my knee?”

I tightened my grip on the pen.

“Yes.”

He held my gaze while he wrote it.

The room felt too warm. My pulse beat low in my belly. I could imagine the position with brutal clarity. My trousers down. His thighs beneath me. His broad hand settling over my ass before the first strike. The pause afterward. The expectation that I would stay because I had chosen to.

“Aftercare mandatory.”

“What does that look like.”

“Reassurance. Bath time. Relaxation. Care.”

“I like it.”

“What else do you want sexually?”

I almost laughed from nerves.

“That was a sharp turn.”

“We can stop.”

“No.”

The answer came too fast.

Sal leaned back slightly. Giving me room.

It did not cool anything.

“Praise,” I said.

“I gathered.”

“I want you to say good girl.”

“When you’ve been good.”

“What if I haven’t?”

“Then you’ll know about it.”

The dark promise in his voice made my stomach tighten.

“Restraints,” I said.

“What kind?”

“Wrists. Perhaps ankles. Nothing that leaves me unable to use a safeword.”

“We can also use an object in your hand. Something you release if speaking becomes difficult.”

I nodded.

“Blindfolds?”

“Yes.”

“Combined with restraints?”

“Eventually.”

“Orgasm control?”

My thighs pressed together hard.

“Yes. God yes.”

The words came breathless.

“How much control?”

I hated how intimate the question felt. Hated how badly I wanted to answer.

“I want you to decide when I come.”

Sal went very still.

The air between us seemed to contract.

“And if I decide you wait?” he asked.

Heat pulsed through me.

“Then I wait.”

His eyes were almost black now.

My body felt open and aching despite the fact he had not touched me once.

“Edging?” he asked.

“Yes.”

“Denial?”

I swallowed. “Yes.”

“How long?”

“We negotiate each time.”

“Good.”

There it was.

One word.

My breath caught. A hot pulse moved through me so sharply I had to shift in the chair.

I watched the page fill with boundaries, permissions, and things I had never said aloud to anyone.

My arousal had become a steady ache. Every question stripped away another layer of armor. Not because Sal demanded answers. Because he waited until I chose them.

“What do you need afterward?” he asked.

“A blanket.”

“What kind?”

“Scratchy.”

His brow lifted.

“There was one in the nursery,” I said. “It was ugly. I liked it.”

“We’ll find one.”

“Hot chocolate. Not too sweet.”

“Got it.”

“Coloring books. Paints.”

His expression did not change.

That almost undid me.

“And reading,” I said more quietly. “I want you to read to me.”

“What?”

“Stories. It doesn’t matter.”

“It matters.”

I looked down at the page. “The firebird.”

He wrote it.

No mockery. No soft smile that turned my need into something charming and small.

Only careful ink.

Blanket. Hot chocolate. Coloring. Reading aloud.

When he finished, he placed the pen down.

The document sat between us. My chosen rules. His obligations. Our exits clearly marked.

Sal turned the page toward me.

“If you sign, it means we may begin exploring this. It is not blanket sexual consent. We ask. We check. We stop when either of us needs to.”

“I understand.”

“You may sleep on it.”

“I’ve spent my whole life sleeping on what other men decided.”

His expression hardened with pain. I picked up the pen. My name looked strange beneath the terms.

Yelena Lvovna Sokolova. Not a bride’s signature. Not a proxy. Not a transfer.

A choice.

I signed. Sal looked at the name for a moment.

Then he looked at me.

“Last question.”

My pulse beat everywhere.

“Do you want me to be your Daddy?”

The room went silent.

I thought of my father’s house. The blue room. The nursery hidden above it. Every moment I had wanted someone to take the weight without taking me apart.

I thought of Sal asking before offering his hand.

Waiting before holding me.

Giving me a car and refusing to make freedom proof that he did not want me to stay.

I met his eyes.

“Yes, Daddy.”

The words left me soft.

Sal’s breath stopped. His entire body changed without moving. His shoulders tightened. His hand closed around the pen. Dark hunger crossed his face so openly that heat rushed through me again. He signed beneath my name.

Salvatore Scordato.

Then he stood.

I stayed in my chair, looking up at him, my body tense with expectation.

He bent.

One hand settled lightly against the back of my head.

My lips parted.

He kissed my forehead.

Nothing else.

The restraint of it was devastating.

His mouth stayed there for one slow second. Warm. Firm.

When he drew back, his eyes held mine.

“Go to bed, little one,” he said.

I gathered the agreement carefully in both hands.

“Yes, Daddy,” I whispered. I wanted to be his good girl. The very best girl I could possibly be for him.

His eyes closed.

Just for a moment.

That was how I knew I had not surrendered alone.
