I shouldn’t have pretended to be a hitman, and now the mafia boss is obsessed.

My brother made me join a super anonymous messaging service, and when I teased him about being a spy or in the mob, I thought it was a joke.

I even changed my profile pic to a skull, and my name to Bunny the Killer. Then I get added to a mafia group chat, with my brother and tattooed men in suits. The Kingpin messages me privately.

He wants to know who I am. I can’t put my brother in danger by revealing his mistake, so I play along. But the mafia boss isn’t convinced. He says he’s going to track me down, and make me pay.

I ghost him. And I think that’s the end. Until the gifts begin to arrive.
