Missy Gets Married (Missy the Werecat #15)
Prologue
Missy and Tracy were at the head table, proudly wearing their uniforms. They were second lieutenants now and no longer cadets at the academy.
They had become alumni and were lifetime members of the West Point Association of Graduates.
It was all too new for them to process. For tonight?
They just wanted to have a good time celebrating with friends and family.
What was interesting was that almost every one of the people there that night was fully aware that Missy and Tracy were supernaturals.
Yeah, this was perhaps the largest such group either of them had ever been a part of before.
In addition to all the military personnel, there were witches, werewolves, various government agency folks and even a few mobsters.
They were all getting along just fine and were having a great time.
Missy and Tracy had each taken a few moments with a microphone to welcome their family and all their guests.
Everyone had then all managed to seat themselves at the various tables around the room despite there being no formal seating plan.
General Blake was up at the head table with Missy, Mike, Tracy and John.
Brigadier General Chory, Lieutenant Colonel Schermerhorn and Major Grimes were also at that table.
Missy’s parents and granddad were at the same table as Tracy’s parents and granddad. Heather and Donald were also at that table. The twins were being watched by a babysitter up in their parents’ hotel room.
Robert Ulrey and his wife Connie were at the same table as Sal D’Amato and Ben Marchitto. Edward Collingsworth was also there and got introduced to Bruno Halloran and Billy Rosario. Yep. It was the FBI-Mobsters table.
Sandy D’Amato and Scott Robinson were over with Patrick and Lila and several younger members of Missy’s pack. At another table on the opposite side of the room, Desiree Yerger was seated with Millie Pratt, Angelina Dangelmeyer, Scott’s mom and grandmother. Yeah, this was the “older” witches’ table.
The Defense Secretary and the former Defense Secretary were seated with Drew Martinson, Les and Marsha Gooding, Charles Winward and Ted Hanson.
There was a SOD Group table, a Team Twenty-Two table and a New England Werewolf Pack table.
Plus, miscellaneous tables for folks like Oliver and Candy Bessom, Nolan and Ayleen Miller, Porsha Banning and her senator. Etc.
There was an open bar and bottles of wine on every table.
Once the hotel staff brought out platters of food and began serving people, things settled down very nicely.
Missy was sitting next to Tracy with Mike on her right.
John sat on Tracy’s left. Missy said, “I’m still trying to convince myself all of this is real.
I’m Team Twenty-Two’s Executive Officer now and after I pack up all my things which Mike and I will bring up to the Missy Mansion, I’ll be teleporting over to stay with my team at our headquarters in Turkey. ”
Tracy said, “Well, I’m taking some leave and will be staying with John. He graduates next weekend. Then, we have our wedding in a month.”
Missy said, “Yeah, I’ll miss John’s graduation since I need to spend that weekend with Yury in Moscow.
I’ll alternate between Moscow and Turkey until I return back here for the full moon celebration on June thirteenth.
I’ll probably spend one last weekend in Moscow on June eighteenth and nineteenth.
Then, I’ll be back here for our wedding. ”
“Have you decided yet on where you’ll go for your honeymoon?” asked Tracy. “John and I are thinking Hawaii.”
“Ahh, well, Mike and I have that all expenses paid and transportation gift from Chris and Wes, with them flying us wherever we want. We’re still deciding.”
Tracy sighed and said, “It’s so great to be us, Missy! We have wonderful lives ahead, wonderful soulmates and lots of other wonderful people whom we can share with. The Fabulous Fates have been very good to us indeed!”
Missy was in total agreement. Being the world’s only werecat-witch-warrior-woman who was now an officer in the Army was wonderful!
