Chapter Six #4

Jack’s expression barely changed but something told her he was not used to having lovers setting the limits on being with him.

His mouth came back to hers in a firm kiss that spoke of his growing need.

She stroked his length again and again, listening as his breathing became more erratic with every glide of her hand against his swollen erection.

He moved her hand off him so he could access her body, taking his time to caress her until she was swollen and wet.

Her need for him was a burning ache that drove every other thought out of her head.

She writhed beneath him, desperate to feel him inside her, restless to feel the ultimate fulfillment of physical union.

Finally, he drove into her with a deep guttural groan of pleasure, his movements slow at first but then gradually increasing.

His sounds of pleasure made her skin come up in a spray of delicate goose bumps.

Her senses were reeling from the feel of him moving inside her, faster, deeper, more urgently, each movement causing a delicious friction that triggered all her nerve endings.

She arched her spine to get more contact where she needed it, her body straining, swelling and quivering with the need to fly off to the stratosphere again.

Jack slipped his hand down between their rocking bodies, giving her that extra bit of friction that sent her flying into ecstasy.

Her body shook with the power of it as each delicious ripple turned into an earthquake and she split into a thousand pieces.

She lost all sense of thought and reason.

She was spinning in a wild vortex of sensations that surpassed anything she had ever experienced before.

The sexy glide of his hard body, the slick of their sweat, the scent of their lovemaking, the sounds they were both making were so intimate and erotic, and she knew she would never forget this experience.

Jack waited until her orgasm was subsiding before he took his own.

She felt him tense all over, his momentary pause heralding his point of no return.

She enjoyed the feeling of him losing control, the deep thrusts of his body, the shudders, the groans, the gasps of his breathing trying to return to normal in the aftermath.

Jack stayed on top of her, his head buried beside her neck. ‘I can’t move.’ His voice was muffled and his breath tickled the sensitive skin of her nape.

Sylvie stroked her hands up and down his back and shoulders and then even lower to his taut buttocks. ‘This is the part where I never usually know what to say. But in this case, I can say thank you for showing me how good sex can be.’

Jack rolled away to deal with the condom and then came back to lie on his side with his head propped on one hand to look at her.

His other hand stroked her body from breast to belly and back again, each movement slow and sensual, sending delicious tingles through her body all over again.

‘Are you saying it’s not always good for you?

’ There was a pleated frown between his eyes.

Sylvie turned on her side and ran her hand up and down his muscular thigh.

‘The problem with casual sex, for women at least, is it isn’t always guaranteed it will be mutually satisfying.

Sometimes…most times…the chemistry isn’t right.

Or it’s too soon or I’m not attracted to the person other than physically. It’s complicated.’

Jack’s hand glided up to caress the curve of her cheek and she found it hard not to purr like a cat.

His touch was both electrifying and tender as the brush of a feather.

No wonder he was such a successful playboy.

He could make a nun cast aside her vows with just a look.

‘I’ve been thinking…’ He left the sentence hanging as if he was indeed still thinking something through.

There was a faint frown on his brow showing a serious side to his thoughts.

‘About?’

‘Never mind.’ He gave his signature grin and leaned down to press a brief firm kiss to her mouth. ‘Do you fancy a nightcap before you go home?’

‘Just a quick one.’ Sylvie told herself she wasn’t disappointed he hadn’t asked her to stay overnight.

Why would he? She lived next door. She was perfectly safe walking a few steps to her own home.

But even so, a ripple of disappointment ran through her.

This was it. The one-night stand was over. The one-night stand she had suggested.

There was no point in wanting more from Jack Wilde. Everyone knew he was the Playboy Prince of the Pick-up. The One-Night-Wonder Lover. The No-Strings Sex God.

Was there any woman in the world who could make him change? No, people only changed if they wanted to, if they saw the need to change. And nothing about Jack suggested he was at that point in life where he was no longer happy with the status quo.

Sylvie had to content herself that in sleeping with him, she had just done what she had sworn she would never do—join the long list of Jack Wilde’s lovers.
