It has long been accepted that Titus the Great was a twice-Gifted royal bastard. He inherited his magical ability from a randy
Corthan prince, a fifth son with little hope of ascending any throne. However, a careful examination of the historical record
finds not a single mention of Titus’s Gifts. No primary sources remain from that time four centuries ago, but several journal
copies, along with one reference to a letter written by his birth mother, indicate that his true gift was his intellect. He
was a masterful weaver, able to plan and execute the most complicated weaves using the magic threads of others. It is this
historian’s opinion that Master Weaver Titus the Great was not royally Gifted at all. In fact, he likely did not use a single
bit of his own magic when he orchestrated the salvation of the Sunderland from the blight.
