EPILOGUE

ESPER

It’s been a week since I fully bonded my pack, and since life started feeling perfect.

It’s not easy. The guys are cleaning up the Eastern Outlaws still and my internship is kicking my ass on top of my classes, but getting to come home to my four mates every day is the best fucking feeling ever.

“Which hottie biker is picking you up today?” my intern buddy Valentina asks as she grabs the next bin of samples for us to sort.

Fabric samples spill out onto the thick wooden desk we share. I needed a moment of organizing instead of running around town to grab things for Ms. Lovewell.

“Reed,” I say, wondering how things are going with the other Pack members. I’d tasked them to set things up for Reed’s surprise birthday party at the Midnight Wolves Bar tonight.

After gathering decorations for the last three days, I tasked Neven, Asher, and Soren (under the watchful eye of Queen) to set up the decorations while I’m at work and he’s in class.

“That’s the omega? You know I’ve not heard of very many Packs with two omegas.”

I chuckle, thinking of the gossip from Reed about his friend Casey. “Seems to be common around here.”

“Delivery for Esper Malent?”

Reed’s voice shocks me as I set down the fabric pile I was working on. He walks over to my desk, setting down a bouquet of flowers, green and pink, with my name on a card sticking out of them.

“You got me flowers on your birthday?” I ask leaning up to give him a kiss. “How did you even get past—”

“Seeing this smile over these flowers makes the perfect birthday present, Princess.” Reed leans down and kisses me.

I cut off our kiss when Valentina whistles, and I flush bright red as I pull away.

“Thank you, baby,” I say and turn to find a vase for them.

Quickly coming back, I find Reed and Valentina talking about his bike. She rides too, she’s got a gorgeous light pink bike that sits at the back of the building.

“Ready?” Reed asks, and my eyes dart towards the time.

“Oh wow, already?” I say checking my phone for any notices of delays from Neven.

Seeing none, I smile, sliding my phone into my purse and grabbing Reed’s hand.

“We have a birthday to celebrate. See you Monday, Val!”

The ride back to the bar is calming with Reed’s gloved hand over mine most of the time. His pancake scent deep in my nose and his wide shoulders comforting.

Midnight Wolves Bar is dark. No signs of life inside the Bar, which is perfect.

Reed helps me off his bike before snaking his hand back into mine.

“I’m thinking dinner and a movie? Maybe we should have stopped at Juni’s.”

“Yeah, that sounds perfect.” I have to keep my face from giving us away. I do my best not to look at him. Or smile too hard. Or too big.

He opens the door to the incredibly dark Bar, and as we step inside and shut the door, I cut on the lights.

Everyone pops out from random places, shouting surprise. Party poppers are going off and confetti covers us in red tingles and paper stars. I immediately spot Neven, Soren, and Asher behind the bar. My gaze trails to Reed, who is smirking at everyone. I tug at his arm a bit to grab his attention.

“Did you know?” I ask and he nods.

“The decorations were peeking out of the closet, and my rewards number at Juni’s pinged me for a recent cake order.”

“Oh, damnit!”

“I still love it, Princess, thank you.” He kisses the top of my head and starts fist-bumping and laughing with some MC members who came up to him.

Queen sits at the bar, her dark hair braided and her leather jacket on. I walk up, sitting beside her.

“It was a wonderful attempt, sweetheart, but Reed is too much like his daddy.” She holds a glass of Coke and chuckles as I flush red.

“Perceptive.”

“To a fault.”

“I’ll get him next year,” I say and we laugh, probably knowing I won’t but that won’t stop me from trying.

“How was work, Moonlight? Everything you dreamed of?”

“And more,” I say, leaning over the bar to kiss Asher, and then Soren, and Neven. “Can you get me a fizzy drink?”

“Absolutely.” Neven is sliding the drink down the bar. Jewels is working behind the bar, and Lacy has come to sit on the other side of me.

I take a deep breath. Watching the Bar glow in the twinkle lights and come alive with music as everyone has a good time.

My eyes catch Reed’s as he’s talking to Coal and One Eye. I smile, unable to contain the warm sense of family in my chest as I watch my mate.

Who knew a mindless night of swiping on Heat Seekers would turn into this?
