Chapter 34

NOAH

Just when I thought it wasn’t possible to be any happier than I was already, Ali did something that took that feeling to new heights.

I was already buzzing when she told me that not only did Sammie and pretty much everyone else know about us and she was cool with it.

Then going down on her whilst she sat on the edge of the hot tub before fucking her against it was off the scale.

But after that, two major things happened.

First, she allowed me to sleep with her without a condom, which was a big deal. For both of us. We were both very careful when it came to using protection. So the fact that we both agreed to make love without one spoke volumes. It meant that we trusted each other, implicitly.

That was an action that was special. Reserved only for each other. Knowing that just made everything even more intense.

And holy shit. Exploding inside her. Filling her up with my seed was the greatest privilege of my life.

I thought nothing else would come close.

But when Ali got on her knees and sucked me off… fucking hell.

That moment felt like I’d just been given a lifetime of Christmas and birthday gifts all at once.

I’d dreamt about that moment for years.

No. Decades.

I’d lost count of the times I’d got myself off on the fantasy of Ali wrapping her lips around my dick. But what I’d imagined in my head didn’t even compare to the real thing.

The way she took me in her mouth.

The way she looked up at me as she pushed me to the back of her throat.

The way when I told her I was about to come and tried to pull out, she pushed my cock back in and swallowed like she was enjoying her favourite dish.

Fuck. Just thinking about that made me hard.

That memory was going to live rent-free in my head forever.

Strangely though, it wasn’t just the sex or the mind-blowing BJ that made last night special.

There were multiple moments that happened in between.

For example, not long after we’d finished making love on the bed, my stomach had rumbled and Ali jumped up immediately because she’d remembered that she’d brought a box of my favourite spanakopita back to her room and put them in the fridge, just for me.

Because she knew they were my favourite.

That sweet gesture made my heart swell like a thousand hot air balloons.

Then my joy continued when she’d got back from getting her nails done. After we’d both got ready for bed, Ali had curled into me and fallen asleep on my chest.

I also loved how when I’d moved and my arm fell from its position around her waist, Ali had grabbed it and wrapped it back around her.

And she looked at me differently. There was some kind of awe in her eyes, like she thought I was a big deal.

Everything between us was just so calm, easy and right. It was as if this was how things were supposed to be.

For the first time in years, I felt at peace.

People say that life isn’t perfect. But I disagreed.

This, me and Ali and everything that had happened between us was the definition of perfection.

Ali’s alarm sounded.

‘Already?’ she groaned.

‘Morning, sleepyhead,’ I said, stroking her cheek.

‘Morning. Is it really eight thirty?’

‘Yep.’

‘Bummer.’

‘Come on.’ I bolted up. ‘We’ve got an exciting day ahead. Breakfast followed by one of the most glamorous weddings we’ll probably ever attend in our whole lives. And you’ll get to wear that stunning dress.’

‘Oh yeah!’ She rubbed her eyes before opening them. ‘Still can’t believe that!’

When Ali had gone to see Halle last night, there was a stylist in the suite who asked Ali if she wanted to choose something to wear. Free of charge. All courtesy of the Love Hotel.

Even though Ali would have to return it, apparently she knew from the label and fit that it was expensive.

‘I can’t wait to see you in it,’ I said. ‘But I have to admit that I’m also looking forward to peeling it off you later.’

‘Such a pervert.’ She laughed.

‘But I’m your pervert.’

‘You are!’ She smiled. ‘Shall we order room service for breakfast?’

‘Yeah.’

‘Okey-dokey. I’m on it!’

After we’d eaten breakfast, I returned to my room to shower. Then I’d chilled for a while before getting dressed. Ali had just texted to say she was ready, so I was now heading back to her room to meet her, then we’d go to the terrace where the wedding would be taking place.

‘Just a sec!’ Ali called out after I’d knocked her door.

When she opened it a minute later my jaw crashed to the ground.

‘Wow.’ My eyes popped. ‘You look incredible, Ali.’

She always looked beautiful, but she was right about that dress. It really was something special. It was a navy blue silk dress that clung to her curves and made me think of lots of sinful things I’d like to do to her in it.

Damn.

I couldn’t believe that I got to go to the wedding with her. Not as her best friend. But as something more.

We hadn’t put a label on it or anything, but I was confident it was only a matter of time before things were official between us.

I was the luckiest man in the world.

‘You’re looking pretty hunky yourself.’ She grinned. ‘Still can’t believe that was a word that people actually used.’

‘Thanks.’ I leant forward to kiss her but paused halfway.

‘Why’d you stop?’ she asked.

‘I didn’t want to mess up your lipstick.’

‘Don’t worry about that. I’ve got more in my handbag.’

Ali wrapped her arms around my waist, then pressed her lips on mine and kissed me like it’d been years since we’d last seen each other, rather than hours.

As she deepened the kiss, desire and relief flooded my veins.

Desire for obvious reasons. The woman I’d loved since I was a kid was voluntarily snogging me.

And relief because this kiss told me everything I needed to know.

Ali was into me.

She wanted this.

It wasn’t just a holiday thing or something she was doing for ‘comfort’.

She had real feelings. Deep feelings.

We were going to be fine. No. More than fine.

Me and Ali were for keeps.

This was the start of a happy and long-lasting relationship.

We were solid.

Nothing was going to break our bond.

Ever.
