SORIMAH STYLES #2

Without saying anything to her, I shut my room door and proceeded to dry off. Afterward, I dove into bed hoping to get a nap in before it was time to let all morals go for the night and cut a fool. The clock read 4:19, which meant I had two and a half hours to regroup.

“You plan on getting up anytime soon or we scrapping going out?”

I was woken up by my other headache with a shot in her hand.

She wasn’t giving me time to do anything but get drunk and I liked how she was thinking.

I sat up with my back resting against the headboard and took the extended shot from her throwing it back.

It burned my throat a little, but it woke me up completely.

“What time is it sis’?” I questioned, shaking my head from how strong it was.

“Almost seven thirty and lazy ass in there was knocked out right along with you. I had to wake her behind up, too. You must’ve been tired.”

“I was. I thought I could get a quick nap in for tonight’s shenanigans, but I guess my body wanted more than that.”

I stepped out of bed with everything on display and EJ laughed like she normally did. She swore one of these days I was going to show my goodies to the wrong person. She was hinting at Zee downstairs. EJ knew all about how aggressive she was about taking me out.

“I brought some fries and boneless chicken wings. We need something on our stomach before we down these bottles,” she said following me into the bathroom.

“Thank you ‘cause lazy behind in there wasn’t going to provide us with a thing. I was going to call Mama and Daddy and share the news, but I wanted to check with you first.”

We made eye contact through the mirror as I went to unpin my hair and let it fall. EJ was the one that never wanted our parents to know what was going on with us because our good news was always followed by a money request. She loved our parents, but she disliked them greatly.

“I’m not telling them a damn thing. To this day we can’t call them for anything, yet they fix their lips to say we’re problematic. I wish I would do anything for anybody who isn’t genuinely happy for us. You need to stop talking to them people altogether anyhow.”

She never gave them any room to make it in her life. I didn’t blame her either. They fussed about things we did but let our twin siblings do God knows what. I still craved the same kind of love and leeway they had so I kept in contact thinking one day they would realize whose been there all along.

“Moving on then. You look cute baby. I see you want to match me tonight.”

She sported a black body suit with Gucci booties accompanied by the same brand scarf around her braids. Her apple watch straps were Gucci as well as the clutch she had in tow. She went overboard with the earrings, but she was giving straight label tonight and I loved it. She looked good.

“I did because this is a we event and I wanted to compliment you. You’re always a doll when you step out and you know how to carry yourself. I have to stay on my p’s and q’s when I go out with you.”

“Girl, what? I dress normal.”

“In your head you think that but big sis’ you are pressure, and you know it.”

See, I was a beautiful big woman who turned heads regardless of where I went.

Yeah, I had rolls but trust me when I say these niggas lined the fuck up to butter them.

Oh, and the females wanted a slice of this pie just as bad.

I was not the BBW that cried about her jelly shaking without permission.

I did me and carried a smile as I did it.

“Thank you, baby. Let me beat this face, get dressed and I’ll meet you and Daria in the living room soon.”

“You got it.” She pecked me on my cheek and dismissed herself.

I loved my sister and how she looked up to me. I never thought she would cling to me the way she did but she always said I was her role model and inspiration, so I guess it was inevitable. I adored her life though, so the energy was always returned.

Once she shut my door, I began to get ready.

I went for a natural but soft look for the night.

Even my outfit was chill, so I wasn’t going to outdo it.

It took me all of forty-five minutes to get flawless and I approved from every angle.

I snapped a few shots in the mirror making sure to post them all over my social media before I stepped out and joined my crew.

“And the hoe don’t miss!” my bestie shouted once she laid eyes on me causing me to blush right away.

“Yeah, like I said, p’s and q’s sis’,” EJ added.

I wore a black mini skirt with a crop top to match. I was showing off my curves and thighs, so I understood why they were hyping me up. My fit was paired with the knee-high boots and the handbag. My hair was still pinned up but fixed into a messy bun. I wanted that simple look.

“I wish y’all would stop. Let’s eat and get going.”

I was always acceptive of the compliments but these heffas didn’t know how to stop. I knew it was to help me keep my confidence at an all-time high, but my self-esteem wouldn’t allow it to drop even if they weren’t who they were.

They ignored me by pulling their phones out and treating me like the sexy ass model I was, flooding their timelines with me as well. If you didn’t know about me, you would when it came to them. They were my support system and they never let a muthafucka forget it.

“Can we head straight to the club? I’m ready to get tore up but I also want to be at our destination before it happens,” Daria suggested.

“Hell yeah. Make me a small plate of food and let’s go,” I agreed.

Daria did as I asked, and we were heading down to the car. I was excited because it had been a minute since we did this. I was looking forward to the drunk moments ahead of us. I planned on splurging a little tonight as well.

Vixen was about a twenty-minute drive, so I took the wheel. I knew these two were going to be drunk out of their minds and I was going to be our only hope getting home. I didn’t mind though.
