2. Miles
I shouldn’t keep putting myself in these fucking situations. Last night, Izzi called me drunk as fuck again, going on and on about how she still loves me and wants me back. Every single time she does this shit, I find myself in the same situation.
I go to her room and she pulls me in, sitting me on the edge of her bed.
She straddles my lap and kisses me until I’m stripping her naked and fucking her.
The next morning, it’s like the night before never happened, or she treats it like it was all just a huge mistake.
I know exactly what will happen, and yet I still find myself getting pulled into this same routine, walking my happy ass to her dorm as if I didn’t just deal with this shit the last time.
I just can’t seem to help myself when it comes to her, which would make sense seeing as she’s the first girl I ever slept with. Diving back into her sweet pussy is like eating a fresh meal after being starved for weeks, and I’ll happily devour her again. Because honestly, who wouldn’t?
Izzi and I have a long history. We started dating when we were kids, maybe about twelve years old.
I barely hit puberty when I realized how good it felt to have someone rub up against the front of my jeans.
It didn’t take long after that until we were exploring each other's bodies when our parents weren’t around.
My parents were super close to Izzi’s, and would often go on double dates, usually dinner or a movie.
They made the mistake of trusting a couple of horny teenagers to be alone together with a bed knowing damn well what would eventually happen.
Maybe they just didn’t care, because they always talked about the future Izzi and I would have.
Our mothers were best friends in college and loved planning the future wedding they swore we would have, gushing over becoming grandparents together.
Our lives were all planned out before we were even born.
Unfortunately for them, we broke up right before our freshman year of college.
Izzi said she wanted to ‘experience all that college had to offer’, and how it would be better for both of us if we went into it single.
Bull-fucking-shit. I knew that meant she just wanted to fuck other guys and blow as many dicks as she could.
It’s been two years now, and since then, she continues to prove me right.
I’d be lying if I said it didn’t hurt at first. I truly thought Izzi was the love of my life.
It took some time, but after seeing her straddling some other guy's lap with her tongue down his throat, and his hands full of her ass at a party freshman year, I stopped giving a fuck about what extracurricular actives she took up in her free time.
It was also the night I fucked her best friend.
Sucks to fucking suck, brother.
Rolling over on my side, I stretch out, a guttural groan leaving my throat.
“You need to leave,” Izzi says in her no nonsense voice, whacking me with what I assume is the TV remote. Ugh, not this shit again. I don't know why I expected anything differently this morning, but fuck, it’d be nice to sleep in for once and not be beaten awake.
“Damn, good morning to you too,” I growl, already fed up with her bullshit.
“I’m serious, Miles.”
Something in her tone makes me pause. She’s not looking at me, her eyes focused on the clock that hangs above her desk. She looks tense, like her nerves are eating her alive.
What the fuck is her problem?
A knock sounds at the door and her entire body goes rigid. That’s weird.
“I’ve got it,” I say, pushing to my feet.
“No!”
The word flies out of her mouth so fast, it almost startles me. I raise an eyebrow, looking at her as if she grew another head. She just smiles at me, and I swear I see a bead of sweat glisten on her forehead.
“I mean…don’t worry about it. I’ll get it.”
Before I can question her, she’s already crossing the room and opening the door. Standing in the doorway is Chase, a smooth grin plastered on his face before his eyes land on me, his expression faltering almost instantly.
“Jesus Christ,” he laughs. “Didn’t realize I’d be interrupting.”
Alright, that’s definitely weird. Why do they both look like they’re hiding something?
“What are you doing here?” I ask.
He gestures at the backpack hanging over his shoulder and smirks. “Making a delivery, brother.”
What the hell?
“Since when do you take shit, Iz?” I ask, looking between the two of them.
Izzi’s face goes pale for half a second before she recovers.
“I don’t, I’ve just been smoking a little. It’s not a big deal. And definitely none of your business.”
“Right,” I say, glancing back at Chase.
He shrugs like the whole thing is no big deal, but something in the room feels off. Maybe it’s because I just woke up, or maybe it’s because Izzi is acting like she’s hiding a body under the bed. Either way, something’s not adding up.
I’m really not in the mood for their shit right now.
I’m exhausted and about to be late to class again because of Izzi.
Grabbing my phone off the bed, I leave the room in a rush, not saying a word to either of them.
Chase calls after me but I throw up the middle finger behind me, and attempt to keep walking.
“Woah, brother, where the hell are you going in such a rush? Wanna grab coffee before class?” Chase asks, stepping in front of me before I can make it to the door.
I roll my eyes at him and huff out, “You’re buying.”
“Whatever you say, boss.” Chase laughs, clapping the back of my shoulder. But when I go to leave, he doesn’t follow me.
“Lemme just make this sale and I’ll meet you there, yeah?”
Izzi is now standing just behind Chase, looking like a cornered dog ready to bite.
I don't know what’s going on with the two of them, but they’re acting real fucking suspicious.
I know Chase wouldn’t be messing with my girl, or ex-girl.
Whatever. The thing I am worried about, though, is what he could be selling her and if it’s more than just some weed.
As far as I know, Izzi’s never had anything harder than that before.
But I also know that Chase definitely has and doesn’t mind selling it to the first person to throw him some money.
Izzi may not be mine to be worried about anymore, but she is still one of my oldest friends and I can’t help but be concerned.
Deciding Izzi was right, that it really is none of my business, I toss back a, “Yeah, sure thing,” and make my way down the hall.
I’m almost to the stairwell when I collide with a girl coming from the bathroom, her shit flying everywhere.
It wasn’t my fault, but I apologize to her anyway, and try to help pick up her stuff when I really take her in.
She’s dressed in jeans with a small black crop top. The bottom of the top slightly rises at her back when she moves forward to grab something, showcasing her silky freckled skin. She has whiskey-colored curls and glasses magnifying the freckles that run across her rosy cheeks.
She’s fucking stunning.
Who the hell is this girl? I’ve never seen her around, and I know almost everyone on campus at this point.
I’m pretty sure I would have remembered seeing her if she was here before, so she must be new.
But damn, I can’t deny that she isn’t the most beautiful girl I think I’ve ever seen.
Most of the girls at this school, Izzi included, have to wear half a pound of makeup just to achieve what she has naturally.
She apologizes back, stumbling over her words when her eyes finally reach mine, and for a second, it feels like everything goes still.
I’ve never been the kind of guy to get hung up on a girl's eyes before. Seeing that shit in movies, it always sounded like some cheesy bullshit people would say to get laid, but looking into hers now, I suddenly get it. Her eyes are unlike anything I’ve ever seen—a light honey shade with flecks of copper speckled throughout.
Staring into them makes me forget what I was doing, shit, forget what I was even saying.
All I can do is stare, completely captivated by the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever had the pleasure of gazing into.
I grin at her when I notice she’s staring and finally clear my throat to introduce myself. She tells me her name is Madelyn and takes the hand I held out for her.
I feel it immediately. The moment our skin connects, a surge of electricity shoots through me, sending shock waves down my spine and enveloping my entire being.
What the fuck is she made out of? Whatever it is, I want more.
Her breath visibly hitches, our touch igniting a gentle blush up her neck and against her smooth cheeks.
I chuckle at the innocence, knowing that I plan on tainting it. Running my thumb across the back of her hand, I notice her skin feels just as silky as it looks.
I’m going to fucking devour her, body and soul.
She must say something, but I’m too busy admiring her to hear a word coming out of her mouth.
We stand there staring at each other like we don’t have shit else to do, and after a moment, I notice how short she is.
I’m six feet five inches tall, and she has to be more than a foot shorter than me.
All I can think about now is how easy it’s going to be for me to lift her up when I thrust deep inside her.
The thought of that alone has my cock rubbing painfully against my jeans, but the image replays over and over in my mind. I glance down at her lips, imagining them wrapped tightly around the length of me when she takes her bottom lip between her teeth.
Fuuuck, she can’t be doing that. I need to leave before I decide to take her right here in the fucking hallway.
I tell her I’ll see her around, a promise I intend to keep, and start to walk away, turning around to take one last look at her before I round the corner. She’s still standing in the same spot I left her, seemingly frozen, staring right back at me with an adorable dumbfounded look on her face.
I’m going to ruin this girl, and I’m going to enjoy every minute of it.
By the time I make it to the coffee shop, I’m still thinking about her.
Madelyn.
The name rolls around in my head as I stand at the counter waiting for my coffee and hash browns I ordered.
I’ve met hundreds of girls at this school since coming to college.
More than I can count, but none of them have ever lingered in my mind the way she is.
It’s both annoying and confusing as hell.
Grabbing my coffee from the barista, I find an empty couch in the corner and wait for Chase, still thinking of Madelyn.
“Miles.”
I glance up to see Chase dropping into the seat across from me, stealing one of my hash browns before I can stop him.
“You’re late. And buy your own damn hash browns.”
He snorts. “Believe it or not, some of us have jobs.”
“Pretty sure selling weed doesn’t count as a job.”
“It does when people keep paying me.”
I shake my head and take a sip of my coffee. He grins and takes another bite.
“So, you and Izzi back together?”
“Jesus fucking Christ,” I groan.
“What?”
“You lasted all of three seconds before coming at me with stupid shit.”
Chase just shrugs, sitting back with a nonchalant look to his demeanor.
“I was just curious,” he says.
Scoffing, I take another sip of my coffee. “No, you’re nosy.”
“Same shit, brother.”
“We’re not back together.”
“But you slept with her.”
I glare at him. “How the fuck do you know that?”
“Brother, you were putting your clothes back on as she answered the door. And you’re wearing yesterday's clothes.”
“Well, maybe I was studying.”
Chase stares at me, so I stare back.
“Bullshit,” he counters, stealing another hash brown off my plate. “So what’s the plan? Are you gonna keep letting her call you whenever she’s drunk and lonely?”
“Nah. I don’t have a plan.”
“Clearly.”
“Eat shit.”
Chase laughs and steals another hash brown. Maybe if I stab him with my fork, he’ll stop eating my shit.
“You know she’s bad for you, right?”
“Wild of you to tell me what’s bad for me when you’re a fucking drug dealer. Besides, she’s not my problem anymore.”
“You’ve been saying that since Freshman year, brother.”
“Yeah, well, I mean it this time.”
“Oh yeah?” Chase asks. “What’s different now?”
I open my mouth, ready to tell him to fuck off when a pair of honey colored eyes flashes through my mind.
