10. Madelyn

Miles has my entire body burning just from the way he looks at me.

I’ve never wanted to fall asleep beside someone so badly in my life.

The thought of crawling into bed alone tonight makes my chest ache.

My mind has become a prison I can’t escape, replaying every move I’ve made over the last few months, every secret I’ve kept, until it drowns everything else out.

The only time it ever quiets is when he’s close enough for me to feel his warmth.

Miles guides us over to the bed, his hand never leaving mine, and I force myself to keep my composure.

I still don’t understand what drew him to me.

Maybe it was my curls, or the way I tried to keep him at a distance.

Perhaps it was just luck. Regardless, if he knew the real me, I don’t think he’d be looking at me like this.

On the surface, I probably seem like an innocent person with a pure heart, but deep down, it's tainted. The darkest parts of me are rotting my soul from the inside, and there’s nothing I can do to stop it.

“I know I promised we would only watch a movie,” he murmurs, his voice rough with restraint, “but fuck…I want to kiss you so bad, Maddie. I can’t get enough of you.”

As if to prove his point, his hands settle on my hips before he pulls me against him in one firm motion. A surprised gasp slips from my lips as my body collides with his, every inch of me suddenly aware of every inch of him.

He rests his forehead against mine, his eyes squeezing shut as he exhales a slow, shaky breath. His grip on my hips tighten, and I can tell he’s internally fighting with himself.

A small smile tugs at my lips. At least I know I have just as much of an effect on him as he does on me.

Miles opens his eyes, cupping my face with both of his large, warm hands. My body reacts before my mind has the chance to catch up. I melt into his touch, my lips parting on a quiet breath—an invitation I hope he notices.

And he does.

His gaze drops to my mouth, lingering there long enough to make my pulse stutter before he slowly finds my eyes again.

“Never in my life have I begged a woman to kiss me,” he breathes, his voice barely above a whisper, “but I’d get down on my hands and knees just to taste your lips one more time.”

His confession makes my insides twist, stealing the air from my lungs and filling me with pure lust and desire.

No one has ever looked at me the way Miles does.

No one has ever made me feel so intensely wanted.

There’s a hunger in his eyes that borders on feral, as though every ounce of restraint he’s been clinging to is slipping through his fingers.

It’s overwhelming in the best possible way, and I can’t look away.

Miles’ lips meet mine, firm and desperate, and every coherent thought I have disappears the second they do. Our tongues twist together and he lets go of my face, grabbing me by my ass and lifting me up against him.

I lose myself in the kiss, wrapping my legs around his waist and running my hands through his soft hair.

Miles sets me down onto the plush mattress, and I glance up at him, completely out of breath.

A sinful smirk slowly creeps onto his perfectly chiseled face, and my entire body comes alive.

He slowly crawls onto the bed and hovers above me, holding himself up with just one arm.

His right hand gently caresses my face and my eyes flutter shut, his touch sending shivers down my spine. The feeling is pure bliss.

“Look at me, Princess.”

I do as he says, wanting nothing more than to please him.

“I want to do something, but only if you say it’s okay.”

I nod my head, but that’s not enough for him. He shakes his head and smiles in that devious way of his.

“No, Princess. I need your words.”

“O-okay.”

“If it’s too much, I need you to tell me to stop. Do you understand?”

I nod, forgetting that he told me to use my words.

The fact that he needs my words is so reassuring, and turns me on even more.

I may not have been with a lot of guys before Miles, but the one I had been with seemed to just take what he wanted.

Sure, I’ve never had sex but we did other things.

And there was never any checking in or asking if I liked it.

I had started to think that being overlooked was a part of the whole experience.

Austin was that one person. The first and last person I ever let get that close to me. It happened at a party. He was drunk, and at first, I didn’t think anything of it. It was Austin, my best friend—someone I trusted and never thought I had to be afraid of.

But somewhere along the way, it stopped being about me.

It became about him and what he wanted. What he felt, what he had apparently been holding onto for years.

He started confessing things to me that I wasn’t prepared to hear, telling me how long he’d loved me and how he’d always wanted more.

And the more he talked, the more trapped I felt.

Because I didn’t feel the same way. I cared about him. I loved him as my best friend. But not like that.

I remember feeling sick, like the entire situation had shifted into something I didn’t recognize anymore. So I did the only thing I could think to do. I ran. And I haven’t looked at intimacy the same way since.

Miles is still holding my face, thumb caressing my cheek, waiting for me to respond.

“I-I understand.”

He smiles and kisses me softly, sitting me up on the bed. Grabbing the bottom of my baggy t-shirt, he lifts it slowly but stops. He looks at me again, but I make no protest so he continues, lifting the shirt fully above my head, tossing it unceremoniously onto the floor.

Instinctively, I fold my arms across my chest, hiding from the gorgeous man in front of me.

It’s not that I’m insecure. I like my body, and I’ve never lacked confidence in the way I look. But I’ve never been laid this bare to someone before, never sat this vulnerable under someone’s gaze. Especially not someone who looks like Miles.

“Don’t.” He shakes his head once, voice low. “Don’t hide from me.”

I slowly drop my arms and reveal myself to him.

I’m wearing a black lace bralette that doesn’t leave much to the imagination.

My chest is by no means small, my breasts practically spilling from my bra, but I think that’s what makes this even more nervewrecking.

There’s just so much of me that’s about to be exposed that no one else has ever seen before, but I can’t deny that I want it, because I absolutely do.

His eyes heat with lust, his Adam's apple rolling in his throat as I watch him, completely mesmerized.

“You’re fucking breathtaking, Mads,” he breathes, his eyes never leaving me. “I want to devour every inch of you.”

Miles leans in, his lips instantly finding mine as he lays me back down on the mattress and begins to pepper kisses along my chest. My skin ignites the second I feel his tongue circling my skin, the pleasure causing the insides of my stomach to flutter uncontrollably.

His lips graze against my nipple, and it pebbles instantly from the contact.

Before my mind can comprehend what his next move is, Miles catches my gaze, his tongue darting out to lick my nipple before nipping it through my bralette.

“Oh fuck.” I moan, arching my back further into his touch.

He growls against my chest and grips my hips tightly in his hands, as he continues to kiss along my chest and down my stomach.

His fingers trace the lining of my shorts, his thumbs hooking into the waistband and gently tugging them down my legs.

“I want to taste you,” he moans against my skin. “Let me show you just how fucking crazy you make me feel.”

I press my legs together tightly, because fuck, his words alone already make me feel crazy. I’m a panting mess, and I’m trying so hard not to explode all over this man's bed just from listening to the things he says.

Nodding, I whisper ‘yes’, knowing he needs my words to continue this delicious torture.

Miles spreads my legs apart, crawling between them and kissing my thighs, nipping the skin in a way I can hardly handle.

Once he makes his way back to my neck, I’m a screaming mess, writhing on the bed from the most intense pleasure I’ve ever experienced.

This is the first time I’ve ever felt this way.

The carnal need to have him touch every part of my body is all-consuming.

He licks a slow, heated path from my neck down the center of my torso, making his way down to my black lace panties. Miles grabs the hem with his teeth, pulling them down my thighs and exposing my pussy.

“Oh, my god,” I moan, throwing my head back and firmly closing my eyes.

I can’t believe I’m actually doing this.

I’m scared as hell, but I’ve never been so sure I wanted anything more in my life.

The thought that this might end up feeling how it did the last time I fooled around with someone crosses my mind, but I quickly snuff it out.

Miles has already shown me he isn’t like Austin, and that is one thing I know I can be sure about.

“Are you still okay? Do you need me to stop?” Miles asks when he notices the expression on my face.

God, no, I don’t want him to stop. Is he fucking crazy? Everything he’s doing feels electric, like my body is going to combust at any moment, and the last thing I need him to do is stop.

“I’m okay. Just p-please,” I stammer. “Please keep going.”

Miles chuckles as he spreads my legs apart and sets his eyes on my glistening cunt, licking his lips like a starved man. I can feel my arousal pooling on the bedsheet, my entire body strung tight with anticipation, desperate to feel him taste me.

“You smell so fucking sweet,” he growls, taking in the scent of me. “I wonder, Princess, do you taste as delectable as you smell?”
