Chapter 6

CHAPTER SIX

Luca

“Rawr!” Luca moved his T. rex across the tracks as it chased the yellow truck. “Rawr.”

The yellow truck was not going to get away. Stupid little humans thought that they could get away from the big dinosaur. They had been mean, trying to control the dinosaurs. And now they would pay.

Luca cackled as he gave a little wiggle. He needed to pee from all the juice that he’d drunk and the crackers that Brad had been feeding him for most of the night. He was having too much fun playing. And T. rex was so close to catching the bad humans.

“Baby boy.” A big hand stopped T. rex’s progress.

“No!” Luca smacked the hand. “Move. Bad humans!”

There was a low chuckle right by his ear. “The bad humans will be right there when we get back. Come on.”

Luca shook his head without understanding. He was playing. It wasn’t time to go home. He couldn’t go home now. He pushed his bottom lip out. “Not done playing.”

“You don’t have to be done playing. Bathroom break.”

“Bathroom?” Luca glanced up. Bright blue eyes shone back. “Shiny eyes. Pretty eyes.”

The other man laughed. “Thank you. But let’s go potty, okay?”

“Okay.” Luca used the offered hand to get to his feet.

“This way.” Daddy, no, Brad directed. “Toward the back.”

Back. Back. Toward the back. Luca hopped over toys on the floor. Not his toys. He didn’t have to pick them up. No, sir. That was not Luca’s mess. Not cleaning that up.

Another laugh before his hand was taken. He liked when Brad laughed. And Brad had been very nice all night long. Even bringing a new toy for Luca to play with. That was cool. Brad was cool.

Luca swung his and Brad’s arms. He liked that his Dad— Brad allowed Luca to move him, his body, however that Luca wanted. It was super fun.

Brad knocked on the door before pushing it open.

Luca ran inside and shoved the pullup and shorts down before he started to pee. “Pee-pee.” That felt so much better. He’d really needed to go.

“Such a good boy.”

Luca turned. Brad was standing with his back against the door.

He was really handsome. And he made a good Daddy.

Just not Luca’s Daddy. Luca returned his attention to the toilet and finished up.

If he had a Daddy, then he could have wet his pullup and his Daddy would have cleaned him up.

Only big boys went to the toilet. Luca was a little big boy.

He gave his wee-wee a shake before wiggling and getting his pullups and shorts back up. He flushed the toilet then spun. “All done.”

“Let’s wash our hands,” Brad suggested.

“Soap and water.” Washing hands was super important. Germs were bad. Yucky.

“Soap and water,” Brad agreed. He crossed the bathroom to the sink and turned on the water.

“Hot water,” Luca informed him. “But not too hot.”

“Not too hot.” Brad kissed Luca’s forehead before placing his own hand under the faucet, testing the temperature. He hummed and nodded before capturing Luca’s hands and putting them under the water.

“Have to sing,” Luca told him when Brad added soap to their hands.

“Sing?” Brad questioned.

“Two times,” Luca said. Did Brad not know this? “Twinkle twinkle little star—”

The first time Luca had to sing by himself but the second time Brad joined him. He had a nice singing voice. Luca was sad when they finished.

“All done, my little star,” Brad told him. He shut off the water then grabbed a couple paper towels.

Luca held his hands out as Brad dried them.

“Good boy.” Brad kissed his forehead once again.

All the praise and kisses were confusing. That was something that a Daddy would do. And Brad was not Luca’s Daddy. He shook his head. Those were big boy thoughts. No big boy thoughts allowed. Luca was having too much fun. “Play?”

“Yes.” Brad smiled at him. “That dinosaur was so close to catching the humans.”

“Bad humans,” Luca told him.

“Very bad humans,” Brad agreed.

Luca was glad that he understood.

Brad held his hand as he pulled Luca out of the bathroom.

Remembering where he was, Luca glanced around the big room. It was so bright and colorful. Fun. Full of laughs and even some snores.

“Everyone is fine,” Brad whispered in his ear. “Josh took Dawson to one of the quiet rooms. James and Jacob are cuddling over there.” Brad pointed. “And Scott fell asleep with his head on Cal’s knee.”

Luca bit his lip. Maybe they should just go home. It looked like his friends were tired.

“Jacob, Cal, James, and Scott will probably head home soon. Josh assured me that Dawson is fine and for us to take our time playing. There’s no hurry.”

It was okay to play. Everyone was fine. That relieved him.

Brad led Luca back to the spot where Luca’s new toys were waiting for him.

Luca dropped to his knees and picked up his T.

rex. He looked around, wondering if Brad would let him play with the toy again sometime.

They were really cool. Luca didn’t have many toys of his own.

Maybe he should start investing in his little side.

“Big boy thoughts,” Luca complained.

“No more big boy thoughts.” Brad joined him on the floor. “Tomorrow is soon enough for that.”

Luca nodded his head. “Tomorrow.”

Luca

Rolling over, Luca stretched out his legs and wiggled his toes. His bed was so comfortable. Too bad the damn alarm thought it was a good time to wake up. He smacked the alarm on his phone until it stopped beeping at him.

Luca sighed. Normally he didn’t mind mornings.

Luca enjoyed them, honestly. It had been a late night though.

After two in the morning before Josh and Brad had dropped him and Dawson off at their apartment.

By the time Luca had been dressed in his grown-up clothes and helped into the back seat of Josh’s car, his regression had faded away, leaving Luca with all the adult thoughts that he’d been avoiding over the evening.

Brad was a great Daddy.

There was no doubt that Brad had experience with the Daddy and little dynamic. Brad watching over him in the club’s nursery had been perfect. Luca hated the man that pushed Brad out of the lifestyle. It wasn’t fair.

And Luca wanted to spend more time with Brad like that.

Usually, Luca had to push himself to regress and was always on the verge of being yanked out of the mindset. Last night had been wonderful, relaxing, and everything that Luca had always wanted. Even when it had been over and Luca was being driven home.

He’d ended up in the back with Brad since Josh had already placed a drowsy Dawson into the passenger seat.

Luca had opened his mouth half a dozen times, wanting to ask the questions that filled his head.

He just hadn’t been ready to spoil the memories of the night.

Couldn’t Luca hold on to the pleasant fluffy feelings for one day? Was that wrong?

He jerked, letting out a loud yelp at the pounding on his bedroom door.

“Wake up, Luca! We’re going to be late.”

Luca scowled at the door. “I’m awake,” he yelled.

“Get out of bed!” Dawson hollered back.

“Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.” Luca shoved the blankets down his legs. Why did Dawson sound so awake? That was just yucky. And unfair.

“Don’t make me get some cold water,” Dawson threatened.

Luca dragged himself out of bed, nearly tripping over the clothes he’d pulled off just a few hours before. “Damn it.” Luca kicked them out of the way.

Dawson pounded on the door again. “You’re not jerking off in there, are you?”

Luca snorted as he yanked open the door.

Dawson laughed before closing his eyes. “Why are you naked?”

“Because I was sleeping, dude,” Luca responded. “And you wouldn’t stop banging on the door.”

“We overslept,” Dawson said. “I’m going to open the shop. Hurry and get down there.”

Luca watched his friend walk down the hall. How long had his alarm been going off? Luca hadn’t even checked the time when he’d smacked the alarm off. He groaned. And again, why did Dawson look…okay? Better than okay.

“Shower and get dressed!” Dawson shouted before the front door slammed closed.

“Fine.” Luca headed toward the shower.

He might have stayed under the hot spray a little too long and had to dress in a hurry once he checked the time on his phone.

Almost an hour late. Luca stepped out of the apartment and locked it behind him.

Then came to a screeching stop to keep from bowling over the man sitting at the top of the stairs.

Why? Luca wanted to whine. “What’s up?” he asked Brad.

Brad rose and brushed off the back of his pants before turning toward Luca.

There might not be anything on the back of Brad’s pants but Luca still wanted to offer to help. His fingers twitched so Luca shoved his hands into his pockets. Nope, no, bad fingers. Oh hell, there might be some residual little still at the surface.

“Hey,” Brad said.

“Hey,” Luca returned. Well, this wasn’t awkward at all.

“I…” Brad rubbed the back of his neck.

And Luca knew why Brad was there. It was time for the talk.

Or the words that always came after Brad gave in to his desire for Luca.

Except this time Luca didn’t want to hear them.

He never wanted to hear the words anytime yet especially not this morning.

Luca was still a little floaty on the feelings from last night. “Can we not do this?”

“This?” Brad asked.

Luca waved a hand from himself toward Brad. “The customary regret talk.”

“I wasn’t,” Brad started.

“I need to get to work,” Luca interrupted.

“Sorry.” Brad took a step down. His fingers tightened on the rail. “I just wanted to ask if I could take you to dinner tonight.”

Well shit. Luca hadn’t expected that. “Dinner? Just you and me.”

Brad gave him a small smile. “I had a really good time with you last night.”

What the fuck? Luca nodded. Last night had been perfect. Which was why he didn’t want to hear Brad tell him that it couldn’t happen again. Luca knew it couldn’t, but let a boy have his dream for more than twelve hours.

“I’d like to share a few things with you. It might explain some of my…actions. No pressure. I understand if you just want to go back to how things were.”
