MR.JEON 💜📖 Part 14 When the Elevator Stopped
Y/N approached the elevator, mentally preparing herself for the short ride back to her desk.
The doors slid open, and her breath caught — Jungkook was already inside, tablet in hand, expression unreadable.
He glanced at her, eyebrow slightly raised. "Are you coming or not?"
She hesitated, heart hammering, then stepped in.
The doors closed behind them, sealing them in.
The air was heavy, almost suffocating in silence.
She clicked the button for her floor. The elevator began to move.
Y/N's mind wandered back to last night — Seojun's sudden termination, the command, the cold authority in his voice, the way everyone had frozen.
She pressed her hands together, trying to steady her thoughts. Finally, she spoke,
He didn't answer immediately. His eyes snapped up. Cold, controlled
The elevator shuddered.
She glanced around nervously...He reached for his phone, tapped to call his PA.
Nothing.
The line wouldn't connect.
The elevator jerked.
Y/N lost her balance, crashing against him.
His hand twitched — but he didn't move to steady her.
Their eyes locked — sharp, cold, and unyielding.
She pulled back quickly..
Jungkook's hand moved to the emergency button on the panel and pressed it, red light blinking.
He turned to her, voice low and cutting.
"Y/N swallowed, voice trembling over the flickering lights
He didn't flinch. His tone still cold
She shook her head, biting her lip.
A small, humorless chuckle escaped him.
She stared at him, heart hammering, eyes wide in the dim flickering light.
Her face went pale.
Don't think I still care about you after this.
The lights snapped back.
The elevator lurched and opened onto a floor where maintenance teams, Jungkook's PA, and a few employees were waiting.
Jungkook stepped out first, voice sharp and commanding
Check the hydraulics! I don't want excuses, move!
The maintenance team flinched, nodding rapidly as they scurried to comply.
Y/N followed, coughing lightly, shaking.
Hana appeared almost immediately.
Hana led her away.
Jungkook stood at the elevator doors, hands in his pockets, expression unreadable. His gaze followed Y/N as she walked, sharp and intense, before she disappeared down the corridor.
Thank you.... Army's, for joining me on this journey. Your time and attention mean the world. Until the next story...?????
