MR.JEON ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ“– Part 28 A Quiet Sunday Together

A few weeks had passed.

Sunday mornings in Jungkook's apartment were quiet in a way that still felt new to him.

No echoing footsteps in long hallways.

No distant voices discussing business.

No pressure waiting on his shoulders before the day even began.

Just sunlight.

It streamed through the tall windows, warming the wooden floors and lighting up the soft grey walls of his living room.

Jungkook had been awake since early morning.

Adjusting the cushions on the couch.

Checking the time.

Walking to the kitchen.

Then back again.

The bouquet of soft cream roses rested neatly on the coffee table.

He stared at them and exhaled slowly.

Thenโ€”

Ding dong.

The doorbell rang.

His heart reacted instantly.

He froze for half a second before walking quickly toward the door.

Not too fast.

Just fast enough to show he had been waiting.

He opened it.

And there she was.

Y/N stood in the hallway with sunlight behind her. A pastel sweater, fitted jeans, her hair falling naturally over her shoulders.

She smiled softly.

Y/N: Hi.

For a moment, he simply looked at her.

Like he needed to confirm she was real.

Jungkook: Hi.

His voice came out quieter than expected.

He stepped aside.

Jungkook: Come in.

She walked inside slowly, her shoulder brushing lightly against his arm.

The small contact made warmth spread through his chest.

He closed the door.

The world outside disappeared.

Y/N looked around with quiet curiosity.

Y/N: It feels peaceful here.

Jungkook watched her.

Jungkook: It is.

A small silence passed between them.

Full.

Not awkward.

Then he suddenly remembered the flowers.

Jungkook: Wait here.

He walked to the table and picked up the bouquet before returning to her.

He held them out.

Her eyes widened slightly.

Jungkook: These are for you.

Y/N: You bought flowers?

Jungkook: It's Sunday. You're coming over.

He shrugged lightly.

Jungkook: That deserves flowers.

Her fingers brushed his as she accepted them.

Y/N: They're beautiful.

He studied her quietly.

Jungkook: Not as beautiful as you.

Her cheeks flushed pink instantly.

Y/N: Jungkook...

Jungkook: What? I'm just telling the truth.

She looked down shyly at the flowers again.

God, he missed that reaction.

Before he could overthink it, he stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her.

Slow.

Gentle.

She let out a small breath of surprise before relaxing completely into him.

Her arms slipped around his back naturally.

Like she belonged there.

He closed his eyes.

Her head rested against his chest.

He could feel her breathing.

Her warmth.

And suddenly everything felt right.

Jungkook: I missed you.

She smiled against him.

Y/N: You saw me yesterday.

Jungkook: I still missed you.

She tightened her hold slightly.

Y/N: I missed you too.

They stayed like that a little longer.

Neither rushing to pull away.

Finally she tilted her head up.

Y/N: So... what are we doing today?

Jungkook pretended to think seriously.

Jungkook: Hmm... maybe I'll just hug you all day.

She laughed softly.

Y/N: That's not a plan.

Jungkook: It's a great plan.

She gently pushed him back.

Y/N: Are we spending the whole day together?

His expression softened immediately.

Jungkook: Yes.

Y/N: No office? No meetings? No "urgent business"?

He smiled faintly.

Jungkook: No work.

He leaned slightly closer.

Jungkook: Today it's just you and me.

Her eyes lit up.

Y/N: Really?

Jungkook: Really.

Right thenโ€”

His phone rang.

Both of them looked at it.

Jungkook walked over and checked the screen.

His PA.

Without hesitation he switched the phone off.

He placed it face down.

Jungkook: Not today.

Y/N frowned slightly.

Y/N: What if it's important?

He stepped closer.

Jungkook: Important?

His voice softened.

Jungkook: More important than you?

She blinked.

He gently tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

Jungkook: I've spent enough time putting everything else first.

His thumb brushed her cheek.

Jungkook: You matter more.

Her cheeks warmed.

Y/N: You're being dramatic today.

Jungkook: I'm being honest.

Suddenly he placed his hands over her eyes from behind.

Y/N: Jungkook!

Jungkook: Don't peek.

He guided her carefully forward.

Step by step.

Until they reached the kitchen.

He removed his hands.

She blinked.

Then gasped.

The counter was covered in breakfast.

Pancakes with strawberries.

Scrambled eggs.

Toast.

Fresh juice.

Fruit bowls.

Y/N: You did all this?

Jungkook: Yes.

Y/N: By yourself?

Jungkook: I may have burned the first batch.

She laughed.

Y/N: Jungkook!

Jungkook: But I fixed it.

She looked at the food in disbelief.

Y/N: You didn't have to.

Jungkook: I wanted to.

He pulled out a chair for her.

Jungkook: Sit.

She sat slowly.

He sat right beside her.

Close.

Their knees brushed.

Y/N: Why are you sitting so close?

Jungkook: To make sure you eat.

He picked up a fork and cut a pancake piece.

Jungkook: Open your mouth.

Y/N: I have hands.

Jungkook: I know.

She sighed and took the bite anyway.

He watched her with a smile.

Later that afternoonโ€”

They sat on the couch.

A blanket wrapped around both of them.

A horror movie played.

Y/N grabbed his hand suddenly during a jump scare.

Y/N: Oh my god!

He tightened his arm around her.

Jungkook: Relax. I've got you.

She stayed pressed against him.

His attention slowly drifted from the movie.

To her.

Her lashes.

Her lips.

Her fingers tangled with his.

He pulled her closer.

Their faces inches apart.

Her breath trembled.

Y/N: I'm not moving away...

He whispered softly.

Jungkook: Then stop.

He leaned closer.

One inch more.

Their noses nearly touched.

He was about to kiss herโ€”

DING DONG.

The doorbell rang loudly.

Jungkook closed his eyes.

Jungkook: You've got to be kidding me.

He stood up reluctantly and walked to the door.

He opened it.

And his entire expression changed.

All warmth vanished.

Standing thereโ€”

Was his father.
