Image: Outside Prescott Academy, the fountain has been switched on for spring, and in carefully tended planters at the base of the steps, colourful Lenten Roses and sweet little crocuses bloom.

TheUpperEdge Something is in the air on the Upper East Side, and I’m not talking about the pollen or the musk of Grandmummy’s ancient perfume.

Shifting allegiances, wandering eyes, the first glimpse of graduation on the horizon.

Something is brewing, but what? Sometimes the only way to see beneath Prescott’s polished veneer is to exist on the fringes.
