Chapter 4 The Sleepover Promise
Since the last time we talked about sleeping together.
My Best Friend would ask one sentence every day.
"When will we sleep?"
She was so eager.
What was there to be eager about sleeping.
I covered my stomach and replied: "My period came."
"It hurts too much, next time."
Before long, the doorbell rang.
When I opened the door, a thermos of red sugar water was delivered.
I immediately took a photo and sent it to my Best Friend: "Baby, you are so thoughtful~"
"Thank you Baby's red sugar water, I love you so much~"
My Best Friend: "This is what I should do."
"I cannot make it in person, I can only order takeout, do not mind."
"Next time we meet, I will make it for you personally."
Oh my god, with such a Best Friend, what more could I ask for!
I would be a good Best Friend to her for a lifetime.
Because this time it hurt a lot.
I specially took two days off to stay at home.
But the design drawings were urgent.
I could only stay in bed working on the design drafts.
When busy, I did not reply to my Best Friend's messages.
"Where are you?"
"Why are you not replying?"
"Are you too busy to have time?"
"Or did I do something wrong?"
"If I did something wrong, you can point it out, I will change it..."
"Baby? I am sorry, I should not have made you angry."
"You can punish me, hit me, but please do not ignore me, okay?"
"Baby? Did something happen to you?"
"If you do not reply... I will call the police..."
"Baby do not scare me..."
...
Until I submitted the draft, I took out my phone.
I did not know until I looked.
I was shocked.
I did not expect my Best Friend to love me so much.
Just because I did not reply, she panicked like that.
Luckily I replied before she called the police.
Otherwise the police uncle would come knocking.
"I am fine Baby, it is just that our boss is too exploitative, even when I have stomach pain and want to go home on leave, he makes me work!"
"If it were not for the high salary, I would have left long ago!"
"I tell you our boss not only exploits employees, I heard he scolds people fiercely, luckily I do not have contact with him, otherwise who knows what would happen!"
My Best Friend disagreed, firmly: "How is that possible? He is not like that."
I was puzzled: "How do you know he is not like that?"
"Do you know him?"
"Oh right, our boss also has the surname Fu."
"Are you relatives?"
My Best Friend deleted and retyped.
Finally replied: "Not relatives."
I breathed a sigh of relief, good that they are not relatives.
Otherwise complaining about the boss to my Best Friend's relative would be bad.
