Chapter 58
We men sat in the living room watching TV. I looked around for Destiny, but she was not there. I went to the kitchen and looked. She was not here as well.
"Did you see Destiny" I asked the ladies.
"She went to put Nick to bed. She is in my room upstairs" Amanda said wiping her hands with a towel. I thanked her as I went upstairs. I looked at the two rooms. I opened the first one, no one was there. I closed it and opened the next one.
There she was sleeping peacefully leaning on the crib. I moved towards the crib and saw Nick sleeping. I covered him with blankets. And moved towards Destiny. Slowly I put her on the bed.
I saw bags in next room. It must be ours and my parents.
I went to the next room and took her bag. I took out her night dress, shorts and top. I changed her dress without disturbing her sleep and covered her with the sheets after finishing. I caressed her cheek and kissed her forehead.
I went out of the room downstairs. Amanda came infront me.
"Where is she" she asked.
"She was already sleeping when I went. I didn't want to wake her up so I left her there. Is it okay" I said looking up.
"It's okay. I will be with them" she said going into the living room. I followed her.
"Where is Destiny" Elizabeth asked.
"She is already sleeping in my room" Amanda said.
"Chris, me and your dad are sleeping here tonight. Why don't you take Liam to our home and have rest. Come to have breakfast here after you two are up tomorrow" Elizabeth said. I asked Amanda to bring my bag. She gave it. We greeted everyone a goodnight and went outside.
"Why don't we go in my car" he said opening his car. I said okay and got in. He drive only three minutes to Destiny's home. We didn't talk anything.
We got inside the house.
"You can take Destiny's room. I hope you know it" he said looking at me. I nod my head. He left leaving me there. I went to Destiny room and placed my bag on the bed. I changed my clothes and layed on the bed.
I looked at the ceiling thinking about today. Everything was going well, but I ruined it. Ones again I let my anger take control. I should have just asked Destiny who it is was rather than acting upon it. The fear I saw in Destiny eyes were the same I saw them last in highschool.
I remembered my talk with Ava, after Destiny and Chris went in.
"What did you do that made her mad" Ava asked. I turned around to her.
"I misbehaved badly with her brother. I didn't know it was her brother. Just seeing some other man hugging her, I lose my control. I don't know how to control it" I said frustrated with myself. I ran my hand in my hairs.
"You have to be calm" she said.
"I know, but I can't do anything about it when Destiny is involved. I did this in the past too. And I suffered for seven years just letting my anger take control" I said.
"What happened in the past? In the past means Destiny was there. You can talk if you want" she asked.
"Yes. On my graduation day. I was already having a bad day.
When I was driving around, I saw Destiny with a boy infront of her home.
I was heartbroken seeing that. I went back and started drinking.
I know I should have talked to her, but I was completely drunk to think what I was doing and said some things to her" I said looking across the street.
"Do you know what impact it took on Destiny after that" she said. I looked at her. She continued.
"I don't know whether you know, but after that night someone had released that video in the internet.
She suffered her last year highschool. They called her names, they bullied her" I turned towards her fully in shock "You don't know what she has been through.
She would look strong from outside, but I knew she was broken from inside.
That one year, I saw a broken Destiny. As she joined college and shifted to Philadelphia, she started to heal.
Years went by she was better" she said wiping her tears.
"When she said what happened that night, I know something was missing.
When you said you saw Destiny with a boy.
I came to know now it's Chris. He came home to spend his college holidays.
If I am not wrong you saw them in the evening right" she asked.
I nod my head. My head was a mess now.
"But something was missing in her. I know she would remember you always. Even though you caused the problem, I know you didn't mean anything. But it's in the past so I let it behind and pushed Destiny to you" she said. I looked at her confused.
"I was the one who applied her for your assistant job. I knew it was you. I was having a battle inside me whether I did a good job. But I am happy how everything turned out. I am seeing the same Destiny I know years back" she said smiling.
"I am really sorry, I didn't knew anything about the video" I said lowly disappointed about myself.
"As I said Liam. It's in the past. I know Destiny forgot that. But I don't want you make any mistake and let go of Destiny" she said moving back to the home. I stood there thinking about it .
I have no clue what happened after I left here. My love, Destiny suffered because of me. She is just a innocent girl. I got jealous over her own brother. Destiny have mentioned her brother, but my mind didn't process anything when I saw them. I just saw him as a unknown man hugging her.
Even though I have caused her problem. She forgot everything and gave a chance to me. I should change for her. I should learn to control my anger.
I looked to my left and saw the empty place. I miss her in my arms. Without her beside me, I am not getting sleep. Even though it's been countable days we have been together, I am already attached to her. It feels like forever. I don't know what to do to make her talk to me.
I got up from the bed and went out of the room.
I went downstairs towards the kitchen. I opened refrigerator and looked for a drink.
I found a beer can and took it. I opened it and sat in the dining room.
I took a sip. Christian walked in and was surprised to me.
He went to the kitchen and came out with a beer can the same I am having. He was about to go out I called him.
"Chris, can I call you that right" he stopped and looked at me.
"Yeah" he said.
"I need to talk to you" I said.
"Okay" he said sitting across me.
"I am sorry for the way I behaved with you. I didn't know you were Destiny's brother" I said twirling my can.
"Wow you are saying sorry by letting your ego go. I didn't see this when you grabbed my collar" he said opening his can and took a sip. I took a another sip.
"If this would make my princess less mad I did do it" I said.
"You are completely smitten for my Sky, aren't you" he asked smirking at me.
"You can say that. I did do anything for her" I said smiling slightly looking at the can.
"So I have to give you any warning like, if you hurt her I will hurt you back and treat you with a attitude like glaring at you" he said glaring at me playfully. I chuckled shaking my head.
"I would never hurt her. And if I do, I would give her the rights to do anything to me" I said taking a gulp of the beer.
"I know you would. I don't say this to the people I just met. But I trust you with my sister. I hope you won't let it down" he said.
"I keep my words, I won't let down your trust and also Destiny's" I said.
He lifted his can to me. I lifted it up and did a cheers and gulped the beer. I placed the can on the table and wiped my mouth.
"But I have to say love can give you both happiness and hurt" he said looking at the table. He looked like he was in deep thought. I think he went under a situation like that.
"Want to talk about it" I said.
"Nah, I don't want bring the past. But it was the reason I went for the World Tour. I took the opportunity as soon as I got it" he said taking another sip of the beer.
"Does your family know about it" I asked.
"No one knows. They think I went because I was ordered. But I wanted a escape" he said.
"I hope everything is going good now" I asked taking another sip.
"Yeah, I guess" he said unsure about it.
"So you are going to continue your career"
"Yes, I made some good money with this. I am gonna keep it like that and see what future holds" he said.
"If you come around Philadelphia, come to our house. Call Destiny she will say the address" I said.
"Our house?" he asked raising her eyebrows.
"Yeah" I scratched my head "I mean we are living together........... I don't know" I said embarrassing myself. I am sure it's our house, but I slipped it out too soon.
"You don't know" he looked surprised at my action.
"Around three weeks back media made a big mess and it was dangerous to leave Destiny alone in her apartment. So we are living together since then" I said.
"Wait a minute, how rich are you exactly that media knows about you" he asked in shock.
"The billionaire of the country" I said.
"What?" he shouted.
"My sister is dating a billionaire. Even though I traveled a lot in these two years. I haven't seen or heard much of you in.... " I interrupted him.
"I know what you are saying. I like to keep my life down from the world. They know what business I do, but they don't know my personal life much. Me and Destiny thought to keep it a secret. But someone destroyed it" I said.
"Damn" he said drinking the beer.
"What are your plans for tomorrow" he asked.
"Don't know, we have to see how the day goes" I said. We finished the can.
"I am gonna head to bed. Goodnight Liam" he said going out. I sat for few minutes and went to the Destiny's room. I layed on the bed and took my mobile. I pressed the lock screen button. Destiny picture popped up. I kissed the phone.
"Good night princess. I love you" I whispered. I kept the phone on my chest and closed my eyes. I drifted to sleep after few minutes.
I got up at the six in the morning and showered and changed my clothes.
I wrote a short letter to Chris and placed on the refrigerator.
I walked towards Amanda's house. I placed my bag in my car trunk which I brought with me.
It's was seven now. I rang the doorbell.
Elizabeth opened it and looked like she was up for the day.
I helped her in the kitchen for breakfast, before everyone came down.
