Chapter 12 #2
My nipples tingled and my heart fluttered.
I loved experiencing my best friend in this way.
He looked at me like I was unrecognizable, but there was a glint of adoration in his eyes.
The way our bodies reacted to each other was intriguing.
It made me wonder why I hadn't experienced this connection before. Chemistry didn’t always translate into the bedroom for me.
But with Nadir, it was natural. Our bodies just knew what to do.
There were no awkward pauses. I knew when to lead and he had no issue sitting back and enjoying me.
He knew when to take over and what to say to set my body on fire. That went outside the bedroom as well.
I bobbed my head slowly, watching as his eyes rolled back and his nostrils flared.
He released my neck and sat back. Through heavy lids, Nadir watched me with a smirk.
His dick hit the back of my throat unexpectedly and I gagged.
Saliva filled my mouth, slickening his dick.
Nadir groaned and bit his lip. Seeing how easily I made him unravel was a delicious sight.
I did it a few more times just to see his reaction.
When I stood, he took the liberty of removing my shorts and top.
He slid his pants to his ankles and accepted me onto his lap.
I rocked my hips, making room for all his girth.
Our eyes met and our bodies moved languidly.
Nadir’s stare was intense, adding to the tension coiling in my stomach.
His hands slid down my back to my ass, where he cupped my cheeks.
“Damn, it's like this pussy was made just for me.”
Pulling me toward him, Nadir grunted then buried his face into my shoulder.
“Is it true, princesa? Was this pussy made just for me?”
“Yes,” I answered with no hesitation because no one was putting it down like him.
“Mhm,” he grunted.
I was on cloud nine. Warm kisses covered my neck and chest as I bucked against him. Nadir held me close, pressing my chest against his face. He sucked my nipple while looking at me. I melted in his arms as a current ripped through me.
“You deserved that.” He kissed me. I moaned into his mouth, still reeling from my orgasm. “Want more?”
“Yes.”
We switched to missionary; Nadir placed my legs over his shoulders.
His stare was intense as he pumped into me.
My stomach knotted and my legs shook the longer he went.
I reached behind me and held the arm of the sofa.
He glided in and out of me. The sounds of my wetness filled the air along with my moans.
My thighs were smushed against my chest with Nadir balanced over me, stroking me senselessly.
He moved one leg to his waist, bringing his face to mine for a sloppy kiss.
Fire zipped through me. My back arched and the tension building in my center released.
“That’s it,” Nadir groaned against my mouth.
I kissed him deeply, messily. His hips moved lazily against me. The slower pace was both enticing and painstaking.
“We have to stop this,” I told him.
“You don’t mean that.” Nadir nipped my chin then moved to my neck.
He was right, but I needed to use my head. There was no way I could continue having casual sex with him. It was too good, too passionate. I was in no position to accept all that came with dick this good.
“I don’t but it needs to be said.”
Nadir’s throaty chuckle made me sigh. “This is equally scary as it is satisfying for me too. But I don’t want to stop.”
I stared at him, wondering what made this scary for him? Was it the possibility of us moving too fast and it all falling apart soon after? I thought about it often. Did he not trust me with his heart? Now wasn’t the time to dwell on that thought.
Nadir kissed me, emphasizing his words. I wrapped my legs around his waist as he drove into me repeatedly.
His grunts were primal. I couldn’t catch my breath; my moans were a mix of pleasure and gasps.
My fingers held bunches of his dreads as another orgasm shot through me.
Nadir pulled out and stroked himself through his release.
I watched in amazement as his muscles flexed and his nostrils flared.
When his eyes opened, they landed on me.
With a lazy smirk, he said, “I like how we make up.”
“Shut up,” I said, clamping my legs shut.
He stood from the couch, expression serious. “We’re too far gone.”
It was true. Acting as if there wasn’t something deeper than just sex happening between us was silly.
“What happens when one of us wants more?” I vocalized what we were afraid to admit.
He considered my words while heading toward my bathroom.
The moment alone gave me a chance to ruminate on what he’d just said.
This thing with Nadir was a slippery slope.
Clearly, I couldn’t trust myself to be alone with him.
My heart and pussy worked in tandem to keep him as close as possible.
I knew there was no room in my life for a relationship.
Lastly, too much was at stake with my career for me to lose my focus.
Making the same mistake twice was a choice.
“We’ll cross that bridge when we get there,” he said upon his return.
I propped myself up on my elbows. “Nadir, we were just arguing over flowers.”
“I shouldn’t have mentioned them.”
“But you did and now we have to unpack it.”
He shrugged. “Okay. Seeing them bothered me, but I'm over it. Are you over me texting Lex?”
“Just texting?”
He nodded. “That’s it.”
I reached for my shorts and top while Nadir put on his underwear.
“My reaction to you texting her was overblown,” I said.
Peering down at me, he grabbed my chin. His eyes bored into mine as he said, “You don’t have to worry about her. Just like I’m not worried about him.”
So true.
Joseph was a great guy. He just wasn't the one for me. At this point, I kept him around for fun. He hadn’t come to see me since I’d returned from Portland and I was tired of waiting for him to make a move.
Joseph wasn't aggressive in his pursuit of me. Maybe that was why I didn’t feel that spark between us; he’d done nothing to ignite it.
I wasn’t interested enough to put forth more effort than I had before.
“It’s not them I’m worried about,” I mused.
“I get that, but there’s only one way to know if your worries are valid.” He sat down next to me on the couch.
“Trial and error with my best friend? What could go wrong?”
Nadir laughed. “Come on, G.”
“Just saying,” I replied while rewinding the movie to where we left off.
As we continued the movie, our conversation looped in my mind.
I saw how many women Nadir had been over the last few months.
If he were any other man, I’d stay far away from him.
I wasn’t so naive that I believed I was different and above him hurting me.
My reaction to him texting Lex was alarming to say the least. Jealousy was one of the many reasons I needed to get it together.
I didn’t need that green-eyed monster to rear its head right now.
Nadir wasn’t my man and I needed to act accordingly.
The tension between us settled and we enjoyed the rest of the night together.
When it was time for him to leave, I prolonged his exit.
I trailed kisses down his neck and over his Adam’s apple.
He hummed; the sensation made my lips tingle.
I was torn because I wanted him to stay, but I knew sleeping alone tonight would help me sort my thoughts.
“I gotta go,” he rasped, holding my waist.
I kissed his lips then sighed. “I know.”
“Call me tomorrow.”
As I closed the door, I exhaled. How was I supposed to reconcile falling in love with my best friend? I thought I had a hold on my feelings, but the tightness in my belly told me I’d lost control a long time ago. And there was no chance of me getting a hold of the reins.
