Chapter 16 /Edited
The weekend came pretty quick. Eric asked me to sleepover for his birthday tomorrow. Of course I said yes and my mom doesn't mind. She is happy Im not home. I was busy packing my bag and trying to pick which dress to take with to wear.
Eric said his party was going to be like a ball and I should dress up. I couldn't decide between the dresses that Celeste said I had to buy. I took the maroon dress and packed it in my bag. I went downstairs and saw Eric talking to my mom.
"Are you ready to go?" Eric asked me. I nodded a yes and he said bye to my mom. He went to his car while I said bye.
"Don't forget this." My mom said and slipped a condom for men into my pocket.
"Mom. I dont need this." I said but she shoved it into my bag. "Mom!" I yelled. She smiled and pushed me out the door.
"Have fun sweetheart!" She said as I walked to the car. I got in and put my cap of my hood over my head.
"Whats wrong? Your mom gave you a condom?" Eric asked. I think he meant it as a joke.
"Yes." I said and he laughed. He drove the car and we were off. The car ride was silent. Why must my mom be so embarrassing?
"I like your mom. She's funny." Eric said.
"Of course you would. You guys practically are the same. You like to embarrass me." I said.
"Thats true." He agreed with a smirk on his face. I pouted and he glanced at me.
"Your cute when you pout." Eric said and I blushed. Can the earth swallow me now. We got to the pack house and Eric refused to let me carry my own bags. We went up to his room and he dropped my bags on the floor.
"Ok so tomorrow the ball only starts at seven. That will give you plenty of time to spend with me. I don't plan on working." Eric said. Someone knocked on the door and Penelope ran in.
"Sorry to interrupt but Im stealing Blake from you." Penelope grabbed my hand and pulled me into her room. She started to laugh when we heard Eric yell Penelope's name.
"You are trouble Penelope." I said.
"Call me Penny and yes I am trouble. I need to go shopping for a dress." She said. Oh no.
"Sure. We can leave now then tomorrow we can relax and not rush for anything." I said. She smiled and we went outside.
This is going to be a long friday. We got Nate to drive us to the mall and we went shopping. Why did I agree to this again? Penny pulled me into a dress shop and we looked for dresses. Not for me.
"How about this one?" She asked. I looked to see she was holding a brown knee long dress.
"No." I said. I looked at all the dresses and pulled out a dark green.
"How about this Penny?" I asked her. She took the dress and went to the dressing room to try it on.
She walked out and looked beautiful. "That is perfect.
" I said. She agreed with me and we bought te dress.
We went for lunch at the Star café. We got to know each other and found out she attended the same school as me.
I honestly thought she was home schooled.
After we finished eating we called Nate to pick us up.
We got to the pack house and I was walking around the back yard. I saw some wolves training. It was Lexi, Gabriel and Hannah. They saw me and Lexi ran to me. "Hi Luna. How you doing?" She asked.
"Im fine. Just bored." I said.
"Maybe you can train with us." Gabriel suggested.
"A human against a wolf. I will instantly lose." I said and they smiled.
"Your right." Lexi said.
"Lexi, Gabriel, Hannah! Why aren't you training?" A guy asked. He was the same height as Gabriel, had blonde hair and blue eyes. "Olivier relax." Hannah said.
"So your Olivier." I said. He looked at me.
"Do I know you?" He asked. Very rudely my I add to that.
"Sorry. Im Blake. Eric's mate." I said with sass. He turned pale and stood up straight.
"Sorry for my rude behaviour Luna. I have been waiting to meet you." He said.
"Its ok. Next time don't knock on Eric's door when he yells that you need to leave." I said and walked away. I looked back to see he had a terrified look on his face. "Don't worry. Eric won't kill you, I'll make sure of it!" I yelled.
I went inside the house and giggled. He must be scared that Eric will come after him. I walked to Eric's room and layed on his bed. Who knew shopping could be so exhausting. I looked out the balcony doors and watched as the sun slowly set.
The sky became a red and orange colour. The clouds turned pink and the wind was blowing. I got up and closed the doors. I checked my phone to see a message from Jason.
Jason: Can we talk?
Me: Sure. Where do you want to meet?
Jason: At the pack border. Come alone please.
I placed my phone on the nightstand and grabbed one of Eric's jackets. I left the house and made my way to the border. It took me a 30 minute walk but I saw Jason waiting.
"Hey Jason." I said and got his attention.
"Hey Blake. I need to tell you something." He said. He looked nervous and I didn't know what to say to him. "I just wanted to say that I like you. A lot and I don't want you to be with that dangerous hybrid." He said.
I sighed at his statement about Eric. "Eric isn't dangerous.
His kind just like everyone else. You would know if you got to know him rather than just judging him based on what he is.
" I said. Jason looked like he was getting mad.
"Look Jason. Your my friend. I don't feel the way you feel about me. I won't make you happy." I continued.
"Thats what you say but we won't know unless we give us a chance." He said. I wanted to be angry but I also felt sorry for him. He was my friend and my best friend's brother.
"Jason. There is no us. Im sorry but we wont work." I said and turned to walk away.
Jason grabbed me by my wrist and pulled me towards him. "You can't just say that. Lets just try." He said. I tried to free my wrist but he held me with a grip.
"Jason let go of me. I said no." I tried to pull free but he pulled me closer and kissed me.
I immediately got out of his hold and gave him one hard slap. He looked shock and I was surprised I was able to hit him without getting hurt. "Jason I'm sorry." I said. He turned away and stormed off.
I started walking back to the house when it started raining. For once I didn't feel sad or scared of what I did. I felt mad. How could Jason do that? I angrily walked back to the house and went inside.
I walked pass Lexi and Gabriel and ignored them when they said hi to me. I went to Eric's and went to the bathroom. I locked the door and stood infront of the mirror. I looked at my reflection and I was soaked. I got undressed and got into the shower.
I turned the faucets and let the water relax my muscles. When I was done I dried myself off and stayed in the bathroom wrapped in a towel. I sat on the floor trying to calm myself down. I heard a door open and close. I heard footsteps going around the room. I knew that was Eric.
He doesn't like anyone in his room. He knocked on the bathroom door but I didn't answer him. "Blake are you in here?" He asked. I stayed silent letting my head fall back against the wall. "Blake." He called out again. He knocked but I still didn't answer.
Its like I lost my voice. I was still in shock of what Jason did and still mad. I heard a key rattle and the bathroom door was unlock. Eric walked in and looked at me. He sat next to me on the floor and stared at the wall.
"Do you want to tell me why you locked yourself in the bathroom?" He asked. I brought my knees up to my chest and hid my face. "Blake." He said my name. I felt him rub my arm but then he pulled me on top of him.
"Ouch." I said. He looked at my wrist where his holding and saw a bruise that I got from Jason.
"Who did this?" He asked. I didn't say anything. "Blake, remember when I said that you shouldn't walk away from people. You shouldn't keep secrets either. Tell me what happened." He said as he pulled me closer.
"Can I tell you later. Im tired." I said. I avoided looking in his eyes and I got up. I walked to my bag and put on my pjs.
"You promise you will tell me?" He asked.
"Do you promise not to kill the person?" I asked him.
"Depends on who hurt you." He said. I sat on the bed and Eric sat next to me. I was about to speak when Penelope walked in.
"Eric there are vampires looking for you." She said. She left and Eric looked pissed.
"Go. We can talk another time." I said. He got up and kissed me then left. I got under the blanket and closed my eyes. Letting sleep take over.
