A monster’s got to eat and this planet is ridiculously hard to find things I can hunt without getting whacked by little old ladies.

I’ve had to resort to hiding in plain sight, hoping for a reprieve, wondering if it was a mistake to follow the Grim to Earth, especially when I’m finally caught by those foul tempered Sirens.

The infamous Diablos comes to my rescue with a proposition that benefits all seven of us. Find and get rid of five predatory monsters preying on humanity and earn a wish. Any wish.

I just want a new start, somewhere I don’t have to run and fight to survive. Somewhere I can stop and smell the fresh air, untainted by my scent matches polluting it.

Maybe get a tan or eat my weight in food. Is that so much for an omega to ask? Oops, better keep that under wraps too. The last thing the world needs is an omega monster like me.

Leaf, Lirin, Brio, Reed, Ronit and Canto can go back to their Black Death Oceans and decay under those waves until they are nothing but sea foam.

I don’t care how good they smell or how loud my inner self cries ‘mate’. They are my enemies now and forever.

Mei, the bane of our existence, the source of our unending rage, the monster who imprisoned us for a hundred years beneath the surface of our own oceans, has run out of chances and escape routes.

She’s just lucky we haven’t ripped her limb from limb for what she did. We might be on the same side for this project Diablos has thrown at us, but the enemy of my enemy…no, she’s still the enemy.

But for freedom, we’ll play along and when we earn that wish, we have only one stipulation.

She goes back to Nightmare. And never returns.
