Chapter 9 First day
The next morning Eva woke up to the boisterous noise of her alarm. She rubbed her sleepy eyes and noted the time. She jumped from the bed, noticing the time as she was late. She“ rushed to the bathroom to finish her morning routine.
When she was getting ready, her mind was still recalling last night’s encounter with Stephen. Eva was murmuring in a slow voice
"Enough of this nonsense. I will not tolerate this anymore. I will complain to Rose. She will scold Stephen. I will tell her how her son behaved with me... But wait, what exactly should I tell her what he does? He entered the kitchen and passed me water and then made me drink it. That’s all.
He never touched me or did anything inappropriate, but what should I do with my anxiety issues?

Soon she was ready in a pair of jeans and top. She took her sling bag and first checked for the things after reassuring herself that she was carrying everything that was needed. She rushed towards the dining room.
To her relief, she only found Rose, who was ordering the staff to arrange the breakfast table.
Eva reached for her in quick steps, Rose gave a sweet smile at her but when she noticed her all ready to start her classes., she hit worried
“Good morning, Eva. Come sit. I will serve you breakfast first.”
“Rose, I am already late. Sorry, but I have to skip breakfast today.”
“No! no not done, ok, wait.'' Rose ordered kathey to pack some breakfast in a box and soon passed it to her.
“Here, take it, eat it on the way, wait, I will call the driver.”
“No… Rose, actually, I booked a cab for me. Don’t bother, please.”
“At the same moment, a guard arrived and informed the ladies about a cab. Before Rose could object, Eva placed a kiss on her cheek, bid her bye, and rushed out of the house. Rose smiled at her gesture and returned to her work
In Stephen’s room, he was getting ready for the day. He used to smile at last night’s memories. It was just some moments that he was so close to Eva, but he was feeling content recollecting the intimacy they shared
Stephen took some time to get ready. He was sure that Eva was the girl who gave rise to this sinful desire in him.
The report of Eva Johnson was what he was waiting for.

Whereas Stephen was listening to the conversation with an expressionless face as it was new information for him that Eva is going to attend some classes, but what classes? Is she a college student? Anyway, he is soon going to get all his answers.

After finishing breakfast, all the men started for their office.
When Stephen reached his car, the chauffeur opened the door for him.
Stephen got settled and just gave a look at the garage.
He found they parked all the other cars in their usual place.
He thought the driver must have returned after dropping by Eva.
He shrugged his thoughts and ordered the driver to start for his office, as he wanted to reach it soon.
Bob was already waiting for him in his office.
His secretary messaged about his presence
The moment he reached the office, he ordered David to send the bob to his office, and no one should disturb them in their discussion.
David gave a nod, and soon Bob entered the cabin. He greeted Stephen first and then passed the file to him
Stephen started reading the file on the first page; it was her parents’ details.
It disheartened him to know that Eva lost her mother at such a tender age.
When he glanced at the photograph of the couple, a memory of his childhood came back to him.
Now he knows why her mother loves her so much, as her mother’s name reminds him of her mother’s childhood friend.
He tried to recall that he might have met Eva’s parents once in his childhood.
When the couple visited LA at their place with a newborn baby in their arms.
A smile appeared on his face, remembering how he and Steve kept adoring the beautiful baby. He was almost 9 years old, and Steve was 5 years old., so after years nothing has changed much.
Stephen turns the next page the moment he observes the pictures of Eva; his heart again skips a beat as she was looking breathtaking in those photos. Stephen kept the pictures in his office drawer and again started reading her details. She is very close to her father.
Her academic reports impressed Stephen, as she was a nerd throughout her studies. She graduated this year. She has few and only three close friends. To his relief, all were girls named Joyce, Madison, and Sara. Stephen gave a peek at those pictures, too.
He read the last line carefully: “no past relationships, flings, or boyfriends.”
The next information was very interesting.
Eva is a superb cook. She loves baking, and her only dream is to open a small bakery in her town.
In LA, she is attending some baking classes that will help her pursue her dream.
Stephen closed the file and looked at Bob, who was standing there with a sweating face, as he was not sure his boss got the information he was looking for.
“Good job."
“Thank you."
"Your fees will be transferred to your account, and now the next work."
“Sir”
“Get details of the classes."
“You mean the culinary classes?"
Yes, all about that—the owner, her teachers, her classmates—all about them. Got it
“Hmm, I am on it, sir.”
"Ok, you can leave now."
The moment Eva reached the address, which resembled a college, she approached some students who were roaming in the garden area and asked them for directions to the culinary class.
Soon, she arrived at her class, which turned out to be a big room with chairs scattered in between and kitchen counters covering the corners.
Placed in the front is a large kitchen counter, which is accompanied by a screen at the back.
Eva was feeling nervous. She found only some students already present in the class. Eva took a seat beside a girl of almost her age
“Hi, I am Eva.“
“Hmm Jacey, “the girl replied smilingly, which brought a smile to Eva’s face and her anxiety got some relief
Soon the chef arrived and started with his introduction, then asked for our introduction.
All the students started introducing themselves, and Eva was listening to all the names carefully.
The students belonged to this city only.
She was feeling more nervous as she was the only one who belonged to a small town.
, but she shrugged off the odd thoughts.
Soon, her turn came, and she introduced herself with a confident voice—first her name and then her town name. So the chef asked her in curiosity
"So, Miss Eva, you are especially in this town for this course."
“Yes “
“That’s great, Eva. I am already impressed by your passion for baking.”
“Thank you."
Eva was feeling content receiving the kind words.
After the introduction, the class got started, and Eva was jotting down all the important points of her first class.
It was the first day, so the class finished before lunchtime.
Eva reached Smith's place near lunchtime, where those were eagerly waiting for her.
When Rose asked about her day, Eva happily described all about the class.
Rose was glad to see her smiling face. Now, she won't be bored at home anymore and can pursue her long-desired learning opportunities. Soon the lunch got served, and Rose and Eva were having lunch, chatting all the time. Rose was scolding Eva for skipping breakfast in the morning. Rose’s love and care touched Eva.
It was always her dad who used to care for her like this.
After a long time, she was receiving this kind of affectionate love.
Eva promised Rose that from now on she will never ship the breakfast. Rose tapped her cheek.
While in the office, after finishing up all the tiring meetings, Stephen reached his cabin. He was feeling exhausted. He settled on his chair and unlocked his table drawer. When his eyes glanced at Eva “a photo, his lips twitched into a smile.
‘Eva, you don’t know how much I want you, and you cannot blame me, as you are too lovable to avoid.
I don’t know how and when, but I only know one thing for sure: you are mine.
And trust me, I will give you all the love that a girl like you deserves.
You are precious, and I am the best to take care of you.
.. I will fulfill all your dreams except one for that bakery in town, as you are both going anywhere now.
You are mine, and I want you in front of me forever.
And that’s final. But first I have to stop your midnight strolling in my house as it’s not safe. "
A four-knock disturbed his thoughts. David entered his cabin and reminded him about the important dinner party, and Stephen sighed as he was not in a mood to attend any business party, but his presence was mandatory there as his father and brother are busy with other meetings.
So he changed his suit into the small closet that was attached to his cabin and left for the party.
He was very disappointed as he could not meet his love in the morning and now he has to miss dinner too.
Eva was on cloud nine to notice the absence of Steve and Stephen.
She enjoyed her dinner with Rose conversing happily.
The same night, at 1 o'clock, Eva got up again and started towards the kitchen. However, when she tried to unlock the door of the room, she found that someone had locked it from outside.
