Stephen didn’t react and decided to talk with her once they reached home. In between the dinners, Stephen gaped at Richard, who was trying to hide his smile as he knew why Eva was so mad at Stephen.
It was late at night when the party ended and the Smith family reached home, as it was a tiring day for all of them. They all retired to their rooms.
Eva entered the room. First she got rid of her heels, as her toes were hurting while wearing those all the time. She was glad that Stephen was busy with some important calls, so she rushed to the closet to change her dress.
Eva removed her jewelry before attempting to take off her gown. She carefully placed her jewelry inside the cupboard and then unzipped her gown. However, to her dismay, she found the zipper was stuck, and she struggled to get it undone.
As soon as Stephen stepped into the closet, he found her struggling with the dress and came to her aid.
With a gentle gesture, he leaned over to her and extended his hand to assist her with the zipper.
With a little effort, he could unzip the dress within a few minutes, but he refrained from pulling it down.

Eva experienced a feeling of relief when she saw what he did. In no time at all, she changed into a comfortable outfit comprising a long t-shirt and shorts. She hurriedly entered the bedroom and got into bed, pulling the sheets over her.
A few moments later, Eva felt the bed dip from the other side.
Stephen chuckled at Eva’s actions, as he already knew about the reason for Eva’s bitterness. Richard narrated him how Eva was expecting a compliment from him, which he never gave to her
As soon as Stephen pulled Eva into his arms and lifted her up, she let out a loud shriek.
“What the hell! Leave me, let me sleep."

“What are you talking about?” Eva stated while struggling in his hold

As Eva’s eyes widened in surprise, she realized none other than Richard had informed Stephen.

“Sure! If you ever need a compliment, simply look into my eyes, and you will see the genuine admiration and appreciation I have for you.
