Chapter 68 Suspicion
The moment arrived when everyone was leaving for home after spending a wonderful time together.
Richard reached out to Stephen and asked him, “
“What should I wear tomorrow?”
“Clothes will be sufficient.”
“Shut up, you fool, I am asking about what type of clothes; should I go with formal or casual?"
“Whatever you prefer, but wait a minute. Why are you asking me this, and are we even meeting tomorrow?”
“He is asking about the shoot, Richard, my boy; I think you are wasting your time, “Steve interrupted
Richard stared at him. And asked him, knitting his eyebrows.
“What exactly do you mean by this?
“I explained Natalia was not interested in casual flings and she would see no one beyond Stephen
Their conversation had Eva’s interest as she listened. Stephen sensed her intense gaze and interest in the conversation.
“Enough both of you; I think we should call it a night, “Stephen declared, stopping the argument. Soon he left along with Eva and so did the others.
When Richard was moving towards his car, Steve dragged him in a corner and told him
“Is it not possible for you to keep your emotions in check here? My goal is to put on an act that will bring out Eva’s emotions and feelings. Your constant fascination with that model is creating trouble.”
“Natalia is her name and I give a damn about your plan. Now excuse me .“
Eva observed tension between Richard and Steve as Richard left in his car, passing by her own car.
It was late at night when they reached home. Stephen made an excuse for homework and entered his office in his house.
He messaged Steve to reach there asap
Steve entered the office room and found his brother in deep thoughts
“Stephen! “ Steve called him
“What the hell do you think you are doing?What is this you started with Natalia? She is a model of our brand and that’s all. And what was the need to disclose about our college? At least think about Eva. “
“I am doing this thinking about her only."
‘What do you mean?
“You will know soon; for now I can tell you what the first thing your wife will do."
“What?”
“Eva is definitely searching for Natalia’s bio, pictures, and linkups—everything she can find on the internet.”
“What rubbish! Why will she do this?”
“She will. After all, she is your wife, and she loves you. But you have to behave as I say to her
“What do you mean? “
“For the coming days, stop pampering her, complimenting her."
“I never pamper her. I just care for her.”
“Yes, and you do it a lot."

“Just do as I say. We already have a word about it. Now good night. I have a long day tomorrow.
Stating this, Steve left for his room. Stephen sighed and cursed for his given word
When Stephen reached the room, he found her busy on her phone. He reached on the other side of the bed and slipped inside the sheet. Eva was so engrossed in her search that she didn’t notice his presence
Stephen recalled Steve’s prediction, and in curiosity, he just peeped in her phone. His eyes were wide in amazement as Eva was looking at Natalia’s pictures. A smile spread across Stephen‘s lips. He removed his gaze from her phone and fake coughed to make his presence noticed
Eva almost slipped the phone from her hand. She placed the phone on the side table and ask Stephen,
‘When did you arrive? “
“Just now.. I am too tired. Eva could just turn off the lights. “
"Yeah, sure. “ Eva, switch off the lamps
“Good night, Stephen .“
"Hmm, “Stephen smiled as it was the first time Eva was wishing him first
The next morning, the Smith family had their breakfast, whereas Steve kept mentioning the arrangements of the photoshoot to Stephen.
Eva noticed the way they were excited about this shoot; she kept playing with her food. From the moment they brought up Natalia’s topic, Eva somehow lost her appetite.
After reaching the office, Eva got busy at her work. Still in between her work, her thoughts used to wander around that photoshoot
It was lunchtime when she received a video call from Richard. She picked up the call
“Hi Eva , I hope I am not disturbing you; I just needed some help
“No.. Not at all, tell me. “
Stephen showed her two customized suit and asked her about her opinion
“I think a gray one will look good. “
“Very well then, thank you for your help.”
“So you are going to the photo shoot?”
““Yup.. It’s going to start in an hour. Natalia didn’t reach there yet but she will on time. Her disciplined life and passion for her work are quite amazing.”
“.Hmm, really, that’s nice.”
“Ok then, you know I have to rush. “Richard replied with a blush on his face and soon ended the call
Eva ended the call. She was in deep thoughts again. She slid the plate of food in front of her as she lost her interest in food.
The next moment, the cabin door opened, and Harry barged into her cabin. Eva gave a surprise look, as it’s very unusual of Harry to behave like this
“Is it true?”
“What? And wait a minute, what is this behavior?”
“I apologize for that but I am just curious to know what I heard is right or somebody joked with me “
“What is it, Harry?”
“Natalia, that popular model... I mean, theis going to do an ad shoot for Smiths.“
Something irritated Eva again at the mention of that bitch. Wait, where did it come from? She even didn’t know her.
Eva noticed Harry‘s constant gaze, so she exhaled a breath and replied,
“It’s true."
The next moment harry jumped and Eva shrieked at his action but soon she found him kneeling before her
“What the hell are you doing? Harry got up. “
Harry took hold of her hand and told her,
“Forget that we were enemies some time; forget what I told you about the Smith family; forget everything else; just remember I am your brother."
“Oh yeah, Cousin...”
“Yeah, but still, brother, I want to meet her once Eva... Just once..
“What’s wrong with you? Shut it up and get back to your work
Harry pouted at her and said, “That’s rude of you." Can’t you do this much for me? At least I can die peacefully.
At that moment, Eva killed Natalia a hundred times in her mind
“Ok fine.. You also want to see the shoot."
“No.. Just tell me where she is staying. I will manage the other things.”
“Ok.. I will ask Stephen and let you know. Is it fine? Now leave my hand and get back to your work
Harry smiled at her and kissed on her palm before getting up on his feet and throwing a flying kiss at her before leaving the cabin.
Eva chuckled at his excitement and then dialed Stephen‘s no. But to her surprise, his phone was busy. She thought he must be busy with the arrangement. The next she dialed Steve, who picked her call in one rang
“Hi sweetheart, tell me you are missing me."
“No, not at all. I need to know where your model is staying.
“Natalia, well, I don’t know, but Stephen does, as he has left to pick her up .”
“ What? And why? Doesn't she reach by herself? “ Eva yelled on the phone
Steve suppresses his laughter by biting the inside of his cheek.
“Yeah, I thought the same. Because of some security issues, we had to pick her up and you know I wanted to do this job but you know how dominating your husbandStephen beat me in this; he suggested she will be comfortable around him as they had known each other from college days. So I guess
Didn’t you call him and ask?”
“I tried to but his phone is not reachable."
“Strange, isn’t it? Anyway, I will tell you soon. I have to go now. Bye, my dear; try not to miss me too much.
You wish. “Eva disconnected the call.
Now it’s going to her head. It’s more beneficial to move past this suspicion. Her trust in Stephen is unwavering, but she doesn’t trust Natalia.
On the shoot
Stephen was waiting in the studio as the model was getting ready for the shoot. He was already getting irritated when Steve forced him to pick Natalie up from the hotel. The arrangement of Natalia's stay remained confidential for security.
Steve was gazing at his brother, who was looking anxious and worried.
“Relax Stephen."
It’s better you shit your mouth. Did you notice how my wife was behaving at the breakfast table? She didn’t even eat her breakfast properly and I couldn’t take care of her.. because of your jerk.”
“Patience bro... Just keep some patience. You will know soon. Just wait till she arrives here
“She who? Eva!! She will never be patient. Why will she? “
“Stephen,” a soft voice from behind, alarmed Stephen. And a smirk plastered on Steve’s face
Stephen turned around and found Eva standing in front of her.
