EXCERPT from Chapter 4:
“Look who it is” I heard a deep voice speak from behind me. When I turned around it was already with an unfriendly expression.
“Sk?ll” I nodded my head to him. “You smell like a human” he stuck his nose up at me like I stank. I rolled my eyes and started taking off my clothes for my bikini underneath.
I noticed Sk?ll’s eyes wandering down my body but I think that’s just a habit.
“Is it cold?” I asked him as I dropped my shorts next.
“I don’t know. Let’s find out” he said...and pushed me over the half cliff so I’d fall into the water.
He’d done so too quickly for me to react, or stop him, so I was forced to jump into the cool water I was not ready to get into yet.
Crashing below the surface I felt the tiny bubbles explode around me and tickle my skin. When I came up and slicked my hair away from my face I could see Sk?ll looking down at me as he was bent over with laughter.
“You’re such a fucking ASS” I shouted up at him. A few people laughed but some people were so used to him that they didn’t even react. My own siblings being some of them.
“So how is it?” He hollered down to me. I just flipped him off, which made him laugh some more.
My being in here prompted a few others to jump in. We all started swimming around and having a good time but deep down I wanted to get that asshat back for pushing me in.
He eventually jumped in just as I was standing on the shore beside Tala. I leaned over to her and said “watch this” before flicking my hand.
I created a wind that lifted the water to almost look like a wave crashing into Sk?ll when he wasn’t paying attention.
He got slapped right into the water. When he came up he coughed a little bit, looking at my sister Ryver asking, “Was that you?”
Water is her element so he just assumed but when he heard me laughing he whipped around.
“She uses her wind to mix with water to manipulate it. That wasn’t me,” Ryver chuckled.
“Ha, Ha, very funny witch,” he swiped a large hand down his wet face. I scoffed, “I’m not a witch you shit head.”
