Chapter 6
Ford
“Fuck, Holly. You want more, baby. I got more for you.” It’s the middle of the night and she’s straddling me, tits bouncing in the darkness.
I can hear her panting over me, and it’s the hottest thing I’ve ever seen.
When she throws her head back and screams my name, I come inside of her. We collapse together.
Hours later, the morning light filters in and she’s pressing her ass into my cock. My hand finds her clit and she moans her approval. In a second, I’m up on my knees pumping into her from behind. “I feel you about to come, baby. I’m right there.” And we both groan into our release.
Fuck. This woman is everything.
I have no idea what time it is, but it’s Saturday so it doesn’t matter.
“Holly, I’m home.” A man’s voice calls out from the front door.
Shit. What the fuck is he doing here?
Holly rolls over and clings to me. “Don’t go,” she says in my ear.
“I’m not going anywhere, baby.”
She grabs her tank top and shoves her arms through it just as Damon comes into the living room, but it’s obvious what’s been going on.
“What the fuck, Ford? I didn’t actually think you’d take me up on my offer.” Of all the things he could choose to say, that has got to be the worst.
“What? What offer?” Face flushed, Holly whirls around to face me. “What is he talking about, Ford?” Her voice breaks at the same second my heart shatters.
Fuck.
“It’s nothing. He’s being an asshole—”
“I’m the asshole?” He has the audacity to puff out his chest and point to himself as if he’s the innocent bystander. “I come home to find my friend fucking my girl all because I made him an offer he couldn’t laugh off. I knew you were obsessed with her.”
“You’re a fucking asshole, Damon—”
Holly’s words cut me off and slice through my heart. “Ya. I know he’s an asshole. I just didn’t know you were, too.”
“Come on, Holly. Let me explain.”
“How am I being an asshole, Holl—”
“Don’t.” She stands strong against him. I can see what it takes in her to have finally found her courage again. But she’s there, holding her own. “Don’t touch me, Damon. Don’t even take one step toward me. Imagine my surprise when I called you last night—”
“You didn’t call me.”
“My phone is still broken. I used Ford’s phone.”
The color drains from Damon’s face, but he’s just enough of a dickhead to not appear remorseful. “I hope she was worth our friendship, Ford. Good for you.” He starts to clap. “You get my sloppy—”
WHAM!
There’s no thought. Just a fist plowed into his motherfucking face.
Holding his bleeding nose, Damon stumbles back. Before he can say anything more, I say, “You better hope your girlfriend doesn’t live in Lit Creek because I don’t want to see you around here anymore.”
“What are you going to do, Ford? Kill me?” He scoffs.
“I don’t actually know, Damon. But I don’t think either of us wants to find that out. I do know that my family owns a construction company and we pour a lot of concrete. Makes a great hiding place. So this better be the last time I see you. Ever.”
“Fuck you,” Damon mutters, now holding his shirt to his nose. But thankfully he leaves.
I turn to Holly, scared shitless of what I’m about to face. “Holly, I’m so sorry—”
“You should go, Ford.” Her arms are crossed over her chest but not in a cold gesture. It’s more like she’s trying to hold herself together.
“I can’t leave you like this.”
“I want you to. I don’t…want to see you.”
“Right now?”
“I don’t know,” she says, dropping her chin. “Just go. Please.”
“Holly,” I’m about to drop to my knees, “please don’t make me go. Not like this. Let me explain.”
“Please go.”
She turns her back to me, and I know I’ve lost her.
