Lauren

Cal suggested that we head up to the rooftop. “For some fresh evening air,” he’d said.

I had my suspicions because for the last few months he’d been insistent that I stay away from the “mess” of the rooftop despite the fact that he knew I liked to decompress there sometimes.

And all the way up, he had a small smile on his face like he knew something that I didn’t. Once we moved through the hatch though, I finally understood what was going on with him.

Brock gave a low whistle as we all filed out onto the newly renovated space. “Nice work, Cal.”

And if it came from Brock, then I knew he meant it. He had personal beef with the old rooftop.

Somewhere between all the tasks for the inside of the firehouse, Cal had managed to transform this space too.

It was striking. The gravel-dusted surface was now mostly covered by all-weather cedar decking tiles, creating a smooth path between the exposed l-beams. String lights were draped in low swags from the parapet wall to the masonry chimney, the result being a soft glow over a cluster of heavy, oversized outdoors pillows he’d tucked into a corner.

They look kind of familiar though…very similar to the ones I’d shown Clara in passing when we were doing our shopping for the exhibition prep.

The steel railing had been scrubbed clean of rust, framing an unobstructed view of the skyline I’d come to love that made the height feel like a sanctuary instead of a ledge.

Tears pricked my eyes at the effort that went into everything. I loved this so much and Cal had done it just for me. I turned to face him, laughing through the tears. “When did you even manage to find the time?”

He shrugged. “Here and there. I had breaks.”

I practically ran up and threw my arms around his neck, squeezing him tightly. He returned the embrace, a warm steady furnace of a man. “You like it, darlin’?”

“It’s amazing,” I said, wiping my tears away. “I love it.”

“Consider it free of charge,” he said, pulling back and delivering a gentle, thumb-led bop to my chin. I kissed his cheek before withdrawing, knowing we still had a lot to discuss.

“Okay, we should probably figure out where to go from here,” I said.

“It’s already been decided,” Rafe said.

“You’re not going back to jail,” I stated defiantly, lifting my chin. “Not if any of us can help it. But for that to happen…Brock is going to have to cover for you.”

“You mean lie,” Brock cut in, frowning in displeasure. “Again.”

I could see the reluctance on his face. “Brock, I know that doing this would go against the grain of what you value. And I would never, under any other circumstances, ask you to do that because it’s one of the things I love most about you.”

He flinched in shock.

All three of the men stared at me. That tricky four-letter word seemed to ricochet off the parapet wall and railing, coming to land square in the center of us.

I’d been the first to openly say what I was feeling, even if my body had written the confession before I was ready to say it out loud. But I was finally ready now.

I took a breath. “Yeah. I love that about you. There are so many things I love about you and about Rafe and about Cal. I love the way you lead, and how intentional you are, and the fact that you carry your honor on your sleeve. It’s one of the most beautiful things about you.”

The knot at his throat bobbed, like he was holding back tears of his own. I turned to Rafe.

“And you. God, you know how to drive me insane in the best and worst ways possible.” He smiled at me but his gaze was uncharacteristically tender. “But you’re brave and intense and I wish I could hold as much fire as you do in my veins.”

Lastly, I turned to Cal. “And I don’t think I’ve ever met a man with a heart quite like yours. You’ve made me feel so safe every time I’m with you that I’ve forgotten what it felt like to be scared. And alone.”

He dipped his head in thanks, looking charmingly humbled.

I looked at all of them now even though I was still addressing Brock.

“All of you make me better in different ways. And losing any one of you would make me feel like part of me was missing. I can’t imagine Rafe disappearing from my life any more than I could either you or Cal because I’m in love with him. I’m in love with Cal.”

I met Brock’s eyes again, my heart leaping into my throat. My voice dropped to a whisper. “And I’m in love with you. You guys are my home.”

I was exposed.

The old urge to run flared up, only for Brock—the stoic, foreman Brock whose resolve made steel look pliable—to step forward and this time, without armor. “I’m in love with you too, Lauren.”

The dam broke and a quiet sob tore itself from my throat. Instead of letting it out, I reached out for Brock and he met my embrace, pulling me into his arms. I tilted my head back and he bowed his, and we kissed.

Something unfurled inside of me, raw and primal and urgent.

This was the culmination of every connection point I’d made with these men. I didn’t want their words right now, I wanted them to show me what they felt in the best way they knew how. With skillful hands that had memorized the patterns of my body.

When we finally broke apart, breathing hard from the sheer intensity of the kiss, I stepped back, not wanting them to misunderstand what was happening and what I desired.

I lifted my shirt over my head, shivering in the rapidly cooling air and under the heat of their collective attention. Hunger immediately crossed each of their faces, as unique as they were. And I was at the center of it. They looked at each other and I didn’t miss the knowing glance they shared.

Cal reached me first, taking my face in both of his hands. I let myself get lost in his kisses and the softness of his lips as they pressed against mine. I held onto the bottom of his shirt, my fingers curling up in the fabric.

“I’m in love with you too, darlin’,” he said, with so much conviction that I was overwhelmed by the sincerity of it. Two pairs of hands began touching me from behind and the side; sliding down my waist and hips, unbuckling my pants and I gasped in surprise.

Callum took the opportunity to sweep his tongue into my mouth, deepening our kiss. I moaned, focusing on him while the others focused on me. When he was done, he brushed his thumb over my bottom lip just as Rafe cupped the side of my neck and dragged my mouth to his.

There was that fiery intensity, his almost indignant tongue that challenged mine where Cal had massaged it. His hand tightened on my neck as he pulled back and his lips were as swollen as mine felt, pink with friction.

“I’m in love with you,” he said it like a claim. “So much it drives me insane.”

He slipped behind me and then Brock was there again, taking his turn, patient. But instead of making out with me, he just gave me the most chaste kiss before leaving me to Rafe and Cal’s mercy.

I didn’t know where he was going off to but the other two men were determined to keep me distracted. Cal’s mouth was all over my body, visiting each place his lips had set up camp before. I was now completely naked, as vulnerable as I’d been during my confession.

Cal bit down on a nipple, soothing it with his tongue when I hissed in pain just as Rafe squeezed my ass and licked the back of my neck.

“Who do you want and where do you want it,” he whispered in my ear.

I reached around and ruffled a hand in his hair, the other one tugging at Cal’s as he dipped his tongue into my belly button.

Heat was already beginning to build in my core, my nerves scraped raw with sensation and I knew we were only just getting started.

“I want all of you everywhere,” I moaned and Rafe growled, biting my shoulder. He was rubbing his arousal against my rear, and I pushed back into him just as Cal’s mouth closed around my pussy.

I practically screamed and Rafe immediately stuck a hand over my mouth. “We’re technically in public.”

His words were a cruel chuckle in my ear.

He licked the shell of it, still shoring back my moans as Callum worked his tongue inside of me.

I was shaking, not with cold this time but with heat.

Rafe rocked into my backside, forcing me into Callum’s mouth and my first orgasm tore through me without warning.

Rafe held me through it, kissing my neck as Cal lapped me up like he was dying of thirst.

“That’s one,” I registered Brock’s voice in my other ear, and felt his hand squeezing my breast before he disappeared again. I shuddered hard, both because of the orgasm and the implication of what he was doing.

Rafe’s tongue drifted from my neck down my back until he reached the swell of my backside.

He slapped my right cheek and I squealed in surprise, then again when he buried his tongue in my ass.

It was the same dual sensation as the last time I’d been with Cal and Rafe, but it was no less overwhelming. More, maybe.

Callum pulled back and slowly slid a finger inside of my dripping pussy.

I cried out, my hips bucking wildly but Rafe grabbed them and kept me pinned between the two crewmen.

I couldn’t budge his grip no matter how much my body spasmed.

Callum worked another finger inside of me, then started sucking my clit and when I opened my mouth to scream this time, it was Brock who caught it in a kiss.

He swallowed the sounds, breaking contact when they turned to quiet whimpers.

“That’s two,” the tally was a rasp, gravelly statement, like he was holding himself back to the point of masochism. He nipped my bottom lip and I tried to reach for him but he evaded me again.

“Darlin’.” I looked down to see Cal staring up at me while still sucking at my clit. The sight sent another pulse of arousal straight through me and he must’ve felt it because he moaned.

“Look at me,” Brock said, suddenly appearing at my side again and tilting my face towards him.

It was hard to focus when Rafe and Cal were still stimulating my front and back, but I tried to listen anyway, not wanting to buck his authority.

“They’re going to fill you up at the same time.

I know you’ve done that before, so I need you to do it again for me. Understand, baby?”

I gulped. “But how are they going to—”

I heard a plastic click and turned my head to see Rafe grinning at me with the bottle of lube in his hand. Where the hell did they manage to get that? Even more puzzling, Rafe held a condom in his other hand.

When I saw the look on Brock’s face, it finally dawned on me.

That’s where he disappeared to. He planned this, at least from the moment it happened.

The man with the plan even when he was horny out of his mind.

I was thankful at least for the protection.

With the exception of one session with Cal, we’d all been reckless and were just lucky there’d been no slip-ups so far.

Somehow his competence even in that turned me on more.

I groaned. “Okay.”

“Okay’s not good enough.” He grabbed my chin. “Tell me exactly what it is that you want.”

The others’ hands and mouths all stilled on my body as they waited for the answer. I bit my lip. “I want all of you to fuck me.”

“That’s my girl,” Brock said, caressing my cheek. “Such a team player.”

Rafe rubbed a thumb across my asshole before pressing a lubed finger inside. As he prepped me, Callum continued to ravage my pussy with his mouth and fingers and I was trembling by the time Rafe pushed his cock inside my ass.

My head lolled back and he waited for me to adjust before he started thrusting.

Cal’s fingers curled inside of me, pressing into my G-spot and my vision turned white.

I felt myself being picked up and carried over to the cushions with Rafe’s dick still in my ass, and he continued to fuck me like that while I got on all fours.

Cal gently lowered my head to his cock. I took him into my mouth with no question, and he began to moan out loud, running his fingers through my hair.

The blur of stimulation summoned another orgasm, the fullness in my ass and mouth satisfying such a deep-seated primal part of my brain that I couldn’t even register when Brock slipped a hand to my clit and began to play with me

This time there was no one to conceal my scream.

Rafe finished inside the condom and Cal pulled out of my mouth just before his climax hit. I rolled over, my body a livewire of nerve-endings and relentless pleasure and then Brock was on top of me, pinning my hands to the cushions.

“Three,” he whispered, slipping himself inside between my thighs. He rocked into me with deep, demanding thrusts, his fingers interlacing with mine. I whined with every stroke, wrapping my legs around the small of his back and locking my ankles.

“Fuck,” he breathed, lowering his head until his face was pressed against the side of my neck. “The things you do to me, Lauren. If only you knew the way you make me feel.”

I arched my back, my chest rubbing against his and he shuddered.

“I love you,” I whispered, my sanity slipping away. “All of you, every single one.”

Another pair of lips met mine, Cal’s from what I could feel.

A hand stroked my leg and I knew that was Rafe.

All of them, tethering me by touch. Brock’s thrusts grew even harder and I felt the crate beneath us give way and then give in.

I’d probably have splinters in my back tomorrow but I couldn’t have given a milder fuck.

My body climbed higher and higher, coiled to spring until it snapped and I fell apart yet again, this one temporarily wiping my brain smooth. My only anchor was Brock’s voice, calling me back to reality after he came inside me too, breathless but steady as ever.

“Four,” he gasped, pressing his lips to my temple and keeping them there.

The silence that followed was so deep I could practically hear four heartbeats. It felt like the birth of something new and strange but perfect in its own right and I wished I’d caught this moment on camera, just for the four of us.

As Brock slipped out of me, Rafe and Cal reappeared on the scene, carrying everyone’s clothes. But we didn’t even bother getting dressed just yet, instead collapsing altogether with tangled limbs in the afterglow of the chaos that I was the nucleus of. Both physically and metaphorically.

Rafe’s phone rang from his jeans pocket, but just as he yanked it out, Brock grabbed it and gently tossed it onto a pillow further away.

“What do you think you’re doing?” he asked, sounding slightly worried.

Brock was completely relaxed, pulling me tighter against his body. “Don’t worry about it and if that prick calls again, ignore it. I’ll make sure you aren’t going anywhere. Trust me.”

And I honestly believed that there was no one more worthy of that trust.
