Chapter Fourteen #3

He shook it and laced our fingers together as he steered us to the dining room.

We took our seats at a table in the back of the ballroom and pulled our chairs close together against the wall.

We talked quietly as others settled in at the table until a petite redhead came over and looked curiously at the lack of seats.

“I think we’re missing a chair,” she said.

Kayden stood up. “Let me get one for you.” I smiled into my water glass as he disappeared and returned a moment later with a chair. The people on the other side of the table spread apart to make room and he set it down for her.

“Thanks,” she smiled at him. He seemed oblivious to the glimmer in her eye. This guy has no idea how hot he is, does he?

He picked up the champagne glass in front of his plate and offered it to her. “Here, I wasn’t going to drink mine anyway.”

She smiled at him again as she took the glass. When he settled back in his seat, I rested my head on his shoulder and whispered in his ear. “You are very smooth, Kayden. We might just get away with this.”

We talked quietly together, insulated from the people at the table with us who all seemed to be engaged in the obligatory small talk.

Kayden and I skipped right over the small talk.

He told me about his job as an architect, and his plan to start his own firm in a few years.

He wanted a few more years of learning under his belt before he did that and I told him that I suspected he was already perfectly capable.

He blushed and I fought the urge to kiss him.

He listened patiently as I talked about my miserable dating life and how frustrating it was to watch my friends from college—or his friends in tonight’s case—start their lives together when I couldn’t even find someone who I wanted to spend more than a few hours with most of the time.

Eventually, the staff cleared away our plates and people filled the dance floor as everyone around us became more and more liquored up.

I’d drank my champagne for the toast and opted to stick with water the rest of the night.

Kayden may have said he was fine with me drinking, but I wanted to remember this night at least half as well as he would with his fancy memory.

I looked at all the people dancing and smiled at him. “That’s my favorite part of weddings.”

He raised an eyebrow. “People looking ridiculous on the dance floor?”

I chuckled. “Yeah. I love the way everyone at weddings just decides to dance like no one is watching. If it turns out your Aunt Hilda dances like a total buffoon, it doesn’t matter. It’s like a universal truth that what happens at the wedding stays at the wedding.”

“Are you sure that isn’t just Vegas weddings?”

“Pretty sure, yeah,” I said.

He held his hand out to me and scooched his chair back. “Olivia, will you dance with me like no one’s watching and promise never to speak of my lack of dancing skills again?”

“Oh, wow. I did not peg you for a dance-at-the-wedding type, Kayden.” I slid my hand in his and we stood up together.

“I’m not. Can’t you tell by the sweaty palm?”

I pulled him against my chest, feeling bold. “Just keep your eyes on me and you’ll forget anyone else is even out there.”

He lowered his mouth to my ear. “I haven’t been able to take my eyes off you all night, so it shouldn’t be a problem.”

A twinge of arousal shot down my spine at his proximity. I turned around and slowly walked us to the dance floor just as a slow song started playing.

I spun around to face him, and he pulled me into his arms with ease. For someone who was nervous about dancing in a crowded room, he sure didn’t feel it as his arms settled around my waist. I clasped my hands together behind his neck and swayed to the music as he slowly led us in a circle.

“I’m glad you came to the wrong wedding, Olivia. This is not at all how I expected this evening to go.”

I rested my head on his chest. “Same.”

We swayed to the beat until the song ended and a faster tempo pumped from the speakers. Kayden took my hands and spun me around until my back was against his chest. He nuzzled into my neck, swaying to the faster beat for a few minutes until I felt him growing hard between us.

With his warm body against mine and the sizzling chemistry between us I was already more than a little aroused and I had every intention of taking advantage of this connection and enjoying myself.

I looked over my shoulder at him. “Kayden, I think we should get off the dance floor.”

He took a deep breath and lightly ran his fingers down the side of my body. “I don’t want to misread what you’re saying.”

I turned to face him and pressed my hips against him as his arms tightened around my waist. “I’m saying I want to go somewhere where you can kiss me.”

“I’d really like that,” he said, spinning me back around, and stepping back with one of his hands clasped in mine. “Lead the way to somewhere you’re comfortable being kissed.”

I chuckled. Jeez, this guy. Of course he lives across the continent. I led us down the stairs to the small entryway and glanced around. There were two bathrooms and a small sitting area filled with coats. I pulled us into the sitting area and pushed him down onto a large red chair.

“This isn’t very private,” he said, glancing around. “You sure about this?”

“I’m sure that I need to kiss you,” I said, sitting across his lap. I wrapped my arms around his neck and leaned in. “Are you sure about this?”

He nodded. “Very.”

He lifted his mouth to mine and my lips parted for him instantly as desire surged through me.

We had a few hours before we had to go our separate ways, and I was going to spend all of them with my tongue in his mouth.

He granted me access and I tangled our tongues together, feeling passion and arousal that I’d never felt before.

Kayden was intoxicating and I couldn’t get enough.

His hands gripped my back, pulling me closer to him and we made out, writhing against each other on the chair for so long I thought I’d combust.

After at least a half an hour of kissing and grinding, I was willing to lift my dress and screw him right then and there. His chest heaved as we broke apart, both catching our breath.

“Any chance you’re the fuck-a-girl-you-just-met-in-the-bathroom type?” I asked.

He smiled and shook his head. “No. But if you ask me to, I don’t think I’m the say-no-to-you type either.”

I grinned and ran my hands over his chest, playing with the top button on his Oxford. “I’m so turned on, Kayden. I’m about to beg you to fuck me in the bathroom.”

He laughed and nudged me off his lap. “No need to resort to begging. Let’s go.”

We walked back into the lobby, and I poked my head in the women’s bathroom. It was empty and there were two stalls with floor-to-ceiling wood doors. Thank God.

I pulled him inside and we stumbled into one of the stalls.

As soon as the door was shut behind us, I tugged at the buttons on his shirt and untucked it from his pants.

I slid it off his shoulders, revealing a perfectly sculpted chest and abs.

He was toned and ripped in a way that made it clear he put in effort without being a gym addict.

I took in a sharp breath, my clit pulsing between my legs.

“You are a very hot nerd, aren’t you?” I asked, using the word he’d used about himself when we were talking over dinner.

It hadn’t taken long to figure out how smart he was, but I couldn’t understand why he thought it was a deterrent, since I found it extremely attractive.

He chuckled and wound one hand in my hair as he pulled me against his hard chest and pressed a kiss to my lips. “You assumed because I’m intelligent that I don’t like to lift weights?”

I kissed down his neck and his chest before fumbling with this belt. He reached down to help me, and I pushed his pants down to his ankles. “Can I just say I know a lot of women who would be throwing themselves at you after the night we’ve had.”

He groaned as I palmed his erection through his boxer briefs. “Hopefully a few men too,” he said quietly.

I lifted my face to his, still rubbing his dick softly. He looked at me like a deer frozen in headlights and opened his mouth to say something. The words seemed stuck in his throat like they were new for him, but he maintained eye contact and pushed through. “I’m bisexual. I like men and women.”

I smiled, my chest expanding at his confession. “Have you ever told anyone that before?”

He shook his head, looking nervous again. I grabbed his face and gave him a hard, deep kiss. “Thank you for telling me. I’m positive there are many men who would also be happy to drop to their knees in a bathroom for you the way I’m about to.”

He inhaled sharply as my knees made contact with the bathroom tile, and I pulled him out of his briefs. His cock was thick and heavy and already leaking. I licked the liquid arousal on his tip, enjoying the satisfaction that our lengthy make-out session had clearly worked him up.

He groaned as I circled my tongue around and around the tip of his dick before pulling him in my mouth. “Can I grab your hair?” he asked.

I nodded as I started to bob my head up and down on the length of him.

He grabbed a fistful of my hair and used it to gently set the pace he wanted.

The dampness in my underwear was becoming uncomfortable, but I could have spent the rest of the night on my knees for him.

He was clearly enjoying it—his head was tipped back, eyes were closed, and his hips were gently pumping into my mouth—but he wasn’t even remotely jamming his dick in my throat the way other guys often did.

He moaned and gently tugged on my hair. “That’s so good, Olivia, but I need you to stop.” I pulled off him and gave the head of his dick one more good suck. He groaned. “Yep, enough of that, please.”
