Chapter 27 - Chayce
R egina is officially mine. My dragon is preening. He has his mate.
Lying here, with Regina in my arms and my cock still inside her, my world is whole. My dick is already starting to get hard again. Knowing that I will need to take her again soon to avoid my dragon breaking loose, my eyes close, thankful for the amazing gift in my arms.
Regina’s steady breathing lets me know that she has fallen asleep. With her tight sheath wrapped around me, I can’t help myself as my hips start to move of their own accord. She lets out a soft moan of pleasure, unconsciously pushing her ass backward into my pelvis.
My hands roam over her body as she starts to wake from the barest of slumbers. I would say that I feel guilty keeping her from resting, but I truly don’t. Grasping her breast, a moan escapes me. I knew that once I had my hands on her tits, it would be game over. Thoughts of fucking them and giving her a pearl necklace have my hips stuttering.
Spinning Regina to face me, I bend down to kiss her, my tongue fucking her mouth in the same rhythm I fuck her pussy. Moving my hips faster, my hand drifts down to rub her clit. Her pussy grips me even tighter, which I didn’t think that was possible. With both of us on our sides, I pull one of her legs over my hip and start to move faster, chasing my release.
Regina surprises the shit out of me when she leans forward, biting my neck in the same place on my body as I bit hers. While her teeth don’t sink into my flesh the same way mine sunk into hers, the effect is still the same. Both of us yell out as we climax together. My thrusts slow as cum continues to fill her channel.
We stay in that position until our breathing returns to normal. After several moments, Regina starts to pull away. My dragon grumbles at the separation, causing Regina to chuckle.
“Shower,” she says, her words stilted. “Not sure my legs are going to support me, but I am a sticky mess.”
Pulling from her body, Regina winces slightly. Leaving her in bed, I enter the bathroom and start filling the bathtub. With the tub filling, I go back into the bedroom and find Regina lying with her arm over her eyes. A soft chuckle escapes me as I bend to pick her up. Heading back into the bathroom, I gently set Regina on her feet. Once she is steady, she climbs into the warm bath. Glancing over her shoulder at me, a smirk on her face, she winks as a soft moan escapes her. Moving forward, Regina makes space for me to climb in behind her.
Once we are settled, we take advantage of our position. Washing each other’s bodies, our hands explore every part of each other, some touches lingering longer than others.
“How sore are you?” I question as my cock gets hard again.
Regina’s head falls back against my chest as she peers up at me.
“Sore enough that you are going to have to wait a few hours before fucking me again,” she says with a laugh.
Smiling softly at her, I lean down, kissing my mark on her neck. She shivers slightly before leaning back against my chest. We stay like that until the water gets cold.
Sitting at the kitchen table, as I prepare for the day, Regina sips her coffee as I make us some breakfast.
“Thank you for bringing my computer back,” she says, twisting the chord in a nervous gesture. “What happened last night, that you ran out of here so fast, or can’t you tell me?” She lifts her head to make eye contact.
I hesitate and rub the back of my neck. She needs to know my initial thoughts regarding the timing of her in town and the thefts that have been happening. If one of the others brings it up in front of her without me explaining, there is no telling how mad Regina is going to be. Steeling my spine, deciding to rip the bandage off, my tone is soft.
“There is something you need to know,” I start, pausing to collect my thoughts on how best to explain this. I really enjoy fucking her and hope to do so again later. “It isn’t bad, per se.” She raises an eyebrow at my hesitation. “I just want you to hear this from me and not one of the others,” I state cryptically, still not sure how she is going to take this.
Regina has an expectant look on her face as if my hesitation is tedious.
“We, the town that is, have had a lot of unknown prints showing up around town,” I start explaining, keeping a close eye on her facial expression to gauge how she is feeling. “It was first on pack lands, then the den, and then the pride. It all started right before you got into town.” She raises an eyebrow at me, no doubt jumping to conclusions. The rest of my explanation comes out rapidly, wanting to get through this as quickly as possible. I make a mental note to try and stop at the flower store today, to help smooth things over. “The timing was terribly suspicious as the exact night you were in town, the Hamilton’s store was robbed.” Now, both of her eyebrows are in her hairline.
Rubbing the back of my neck, hesitating on this next part, knowing Regina is going to be pissed. Looking back at it now, she has every right to be.
“Deakon ran a full criminal background check on you at my request,” I say, cringing slightly in preparation for her outburst.
Keeping a close eye on her, Regina sits there, staring at me. Neither of us move or say anything, barely breathing. Opening my mouth to speak, she does something unexpected—she laughs.
My eyes are wide, unsure what to do or how to respond. Regina has tears streaming down her face as she continues to laugh, wrapping her arms around her middle. The full-on belly laugh catches me off guard.
“Y-you th-thought I-I was st-stalking yo-your town?” she stutters out between laughs.
Now I feel really stupid. Regina starts coughing, trying to catch her breath. Taking a step in her direction, she holds a hand up, halting my movements.
I stand there, mid-step, waiting for her to calm down. After several minutes, she wipes the tears off her cheeks, facing me, anger now blazing in her eyes. Regina sits back in her chair, arms crossed over her chest. This is the reaction I was prepared for, although after her laughter, it takes me a few minutes to catch up to the emotional rollercoaster. I feel like I have whiplash.
“Tell me…” Regina starts. “How did you determine that it wasn’t me? Or do you still think it’s me?” Her voice has an edge to it, letting me know my answer better be one to her liking.
“There was an incident,” I say softly. “You were with me when it happened. There was another one last night, and you were here,” I say, letting my voice trail off.
“So, assuming that I can’t be in two places at once, you deemed me not guilty by process of elimination,” she bites out, causing me to cringe.
“Since we haven’t caught the guilty party, yes,” I say guiltily.
“Thanks,” she says, just barely above a whisper.
While I haven’t known her long, any man with a brain knows that this isn’t good. My mind spins, scrambling on what to say or do to make this right. My phone rings, breaking through the silence and tension in the room. Swiping my finger across the screen without looking to see who it is, Deakon’s voice has my head snapping toward the clock.
“Where are you?” Deakon bites out. “Half the town is here, waiting for you.”
“Shit! On my way.”
Ending the call, my phone gets stuffed back into my pocket as I scramble to plate the food I made. Shutting everything off, I grab my keys and step toward Regina. She holds her hand up to stop me again. I am beginning to hate that move.
“You know that you are in the doghouse, right?” she asks.
“Yeah,” I acknowledge, making sure that she knows, that I know, how angry she is.
“Be safe,” is all she says before grabbing her laptop and heading into the living room.
Being dismissed, I go to work. Maybe if we get lucky, someone will give me a hard time, giving me an outlet for my frustration.
