Night Market Inferno

Fabian Salcedo wants nothing to do with drama, feelings, or a man who talks just to see what explodes.

Unfortunately, Elías “Lalo” Cárdenas checks every box, and a summer night-market mix-up still puts Fabian in shared booth space with Lalo’s family raspado stand.

Their long neighborhood feud becomes East Bay entertainment as people come for shaved ice and linger on the bickering.

Fabian breaks first, kissing Lalo behind the stand after closing and blaming the heat for it.

One reckless choice turns into another, then into a secret, and Fabian has to admit that the man in the glasses and five-inch shorts is not a mistake he can talk himself out of.
