Chapter Killian
Killian
Movement at the mouth of the alleyway drew Killian’s attention. When he saw who stood there, his lips kicked up in a feral grin.
“Ah, this one’s yours, Ivy? I should’ve known.” He let out a rumbling laugh. “You know what you’ve done, right?”
Ivy’s body shook with a fresh bout of tremors. He was thrilled to know he had that effect on her.
She responded with a light, “No.” It sounded more like an utterance of disbelief than a response to his question.
“You just Created your first Vampire, baby vamp.” He grinned at her.
Finare took a step forward, and Killian swung his arm around to point Cataplexis in Finare’s direction.
“Stay where you are.” He glared at Finare, but he was staring at the male on the ground with a mournful expression.
“I didn't mean for you to munch on some wastrel outside the club. Their blood is filthy. No wonder you couldn’t finish him,” Killian chuckled as he crouched down and drew Cataplexis across the Human’s throat.
Blood bubbled and emitted steam as it poured from the wound.
The body jerked once before falling still.
Killian rose to his full height and stalked towards Ivy. Finare shifted to position himself between them, and he stopped a few lengths away from the pair of Idthrakis. He looked past Finare and met Ivy’s wide-eyed, emerald-green stare.
“You need to embrace the hunt, Ivy. You need to let the demons inside of you loose and chase your prey. That’s what makes them taste like honey.
” Killian ran his tongue out over his bottom lip.
He followed it with his fangs, slowly dragging them over his bottom lip as he maintained eye contact with her.
He chuckled as Ivy shuddered and looked away.
He turned back to the body and discovered a pile of dust in its place.
“Shit. That was quick. The change had already begun,” he remarked with a chuckle.
He stepped over the dust pile and crossed the courtyard. Killian looked back over his shoulder at Ivy, his lips curling into a fresh smirk.
“I’d End you right now, but I want Voresta to see me do it. Bring him along for our next meeting, will you?” He winked at her before slipping between the buildings and letting the darkness swallow him once more.
