Chapter Fourteen

At three on Sunday, Justin opened the door to find William. “Hey.” Justin kissed his cheek. “You’re here early.”

“Yeah,” William said entering. “I thought maybe I could help you with dinner tonight.”

“That would be awesome. We have a while before we need to get started.” Justin took William’s hand, leading him to the living room. Next to the couch, his nephew, Hunter, sat happily in his playpen with his blocks. William went straight to the baby.

“Hey, big guy.” William lightly tickled his tummy, causing the boy to giggle. And damn, that made a warmth settle in Justin’s chest. His family was the most important thing in the world to him, and William really seemed to get that. Justin pulled him over to the couch, putting his arm around William’s shoulders. William rested his head against Justin. “How has your day been?”

“Nothing exciting.” William shrugged. “Breakfast with my parents then housework. Trying to keep myself busy until an acceptable time to come over here.”

“You can show up pretty much any time you want, and it would be an acceptable time.” Justin was quick to assure him. William turned to him with a sweet smile and Justin couldn’t resist kissing him.

“So, where’s the rest of the family?” William asked when the kiss broke.

“Evie is upstairs doing homework. Mom, Maddison, and Natalie went shopping. And Russell is at band practice. So, Hunter is hanging out with me. They’ll all be back around six.”

“And when do we need to start dinner?” William leaned even closer to him.

“Not for something like two and a half hours.” Justin ran a finger across William’s bottom lip, and William gave him a sexy smile. “Any ideas on what we should do until then?”

“I can think of a few,” William told him before pressing his lips to his, instigating a scorching kiss.

“Damn, I love the way you think.” Justin leaned against the arm of the couch, allowing him to tug William halfway on top of him, then returned to the kiss. His arms tightened around William’s back, holding him as close as he could. Justin loved the perfect way William fit against him, and the man’s breathy little moans as he plundered his mouth. “Fuck,” Justin said, breathing heavily. “I could kiss you like this for hours.”

“Sounds good to me,” William returned huskily.

But it seemed that the universe had other ideas. The second their lips met, Hunter let out a screech, and Justin heard footsteps on the stairs. Reluctantly, he let go of William and they sat up. “To be continued.” Justin gave him a quick, soft kiss then went to pick Hunter up. “Hey, big guy.” Justin changed his tone to something more animated. “What’s going on over here?” He lifted the boy into the air, and he giggled just like he always did. Justin settled Hunter on his hip, turning to see Evie come into the room and plop down on the couch.

She let out a heavy sigh. “Oh, hey, William,” she said, glancing in his direction.

“You seem stressed. Is everything okay?” William asked before Justin could get the question out.

“Sometimes school is too damn hard,” she huffed. “I’ve been trying to get this assignment for calculus done and I’m just not understanding it. On top of that, I need to study for my biology midterm tomorrow.”

“I was pretty good at calculus,” William told her. “I’d be happy to help you, if you want.”

“Really?” she asked excitedly.

“Of course.” William smiled at her. “And while I’m no expert on biology, I can give you some study tips.”

“Oh my gosh. Thanks, William. I’ll go get my books.” Evie jumped up and ran up the stairs.

“You know, you shouldn’t lie to my sister.” Justin sat next to him, holding Hunter, who babbled while chewing his chubby fist.

“What did I lie about?” William looked confused.

“If I were grading you, you would definitely be getting an A in biology.” Justin winked.

The look William gave him was so full of desire that it caused Justin’s groin to tighten. “Maybe I could go for some extra credit tonight.”

“Fuck, I want to kiss you so bad.” Justin lightly traced his lower lip with one finger.

“Later,” William said as Evie reached the last step.

While Evie laid out her homework on the coffee table, Hunter fidgeted and fussed. “I’m going to get this guy a bottle,” Justin told them, carrying Hunter into the kitchen to grab one of the ones his sister had left for them.

When he came back, Evie and William had settled themselves on the floor and were going over the first question. Quietly, he sat on the couch behind them, rocking his nephew while he drank his milk. As he listened, William thoroughly explained each problem with patience, and didn’t move on until he was sure she understood the concept. As Hunter finished the bottle, his eyes began to close. Justin put him back in the playpen for his nap then returned to the couch. He couldn’t resist running his fingers gently along the back of William’s neck, smiling when the man leaned into his touch. Without moving his hand, Justin leaned his head back and closed his eyes.

“Justin.” Justin opened his eyes to see William standing over him. “I think it’s time for us to start dinner.”

“We still have time.”

“It’s almost five thirty, honey.” William stroked the side of his face.

“What?” Justin looked down at his watch. “Damn, I guess I fell asleep.” He stretched then let William help him to his feet.

“What’s on the menu tonight?” William asked as they walked into the kitchen.

“Do you remember the roommate, Martin, I told you about before?” Justin asked and William nodded. “One night, we took everything in our fridge and tried to make an anniversary dinner for his girlfriend. It turned out to be so good that we named it.”

“What did you call it?” William asked with a chuckle.

“Well, conceitedly, we called it MJ chicken,” Justin told him as he pulled ingredients from the refrigerator. William laughed. “Essentially, it’s baked barbeque chicken topped with crispy bacon and mozzarella cheese.”

“Sounds delicious.” William walked over to stand next to him. “How can I help?”

“Why don’t you cook the bacon while I deal with the chicken?” As they worked, Justin kept stealing glances at William. The scene was so domestic. This was exactly what Justin craved, someone to share in the everyday mundane tasks.

William caught him staring. “Do you think you can spend the night with me?” he asked softly.

“I’m pretty sure I can arrange that.” Justin winked as he basted the chicken before putting it into the oven.

“We’re back,” he heard his mother call from the doorway.

“Kitchen, Mom,” Justin answered.

Nora and Natalie entered, setting their bags on the table. Maddison came in moments later with Hunter. “We got some amazing deals,” his mother said.

“Did you leave anything in the store?” Justin joked as their haul took up most of the table.

“Oh, hush now.” Nora waved him off. “Look at these incredible shirts I got.” They were men’s dress shirts. One was charcoal gray with pinstripes, and the other was a deep-maroon color. Totally not his usual style.

“Thanks, Mom, but I kind of prefer darker colors.”

“Good thing those are for William, then, and not you.” Natalie laughed, pulling a black shirt and a deep royal blue one from another bag.

William, who had finished the bacon and put it on some paper towels to drain, looked quizzical at him, but he wore a small smile. “Wow. Thanks, Ms. Nora.”

“You boys come over here and try these on,” she instructed.

Natalie handed Justin the blue shirt, and he put it on over the tee shirt he was wearing. William did the same with the maroon one.

“Perfect,” Nora declared.

Justin looked over at William and had to agree with his mother. The dark-reddish purple was the perfect contrast for his alabaster skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes. “Damn, that looks good on you,” he told the other man, who was hugging his mom.

“You didn’t have to do this,” William was saying.

“Of course I did,” she returned. “I do this for all of my kids.”

Justin’s heart skipped a beat. His mother had accepted William and was trying to make him feel like one of the family. Which, if he was being honest with himself, was exactly what he needed to take the next step in their relationship. Hell, even his friends had warmed up to him. William looked over at Justin. He had a shy smile, but there was a hint of worry in his eyes. It seemed like he was trying to gauge Justin’s reaction to his mother’s statement. Justin winked at him before taking off his new shirt and putting on the other one.

“I really like that one,” William told him. “The black suits you well.” Nora took the gray shirt off the hanger and handed it to William, who had shrugged out of the first one.

“Even better,” Maddison put in.

“I don’t know,” Natalie interjected. “He looks totally hot in the maroon.”

“I second that.” Justin winked at William, who blushed slightly. The kitchen timer went off. “Time to get back to dinner. Thanks for the clothes, Mom.”

“I’ll just hang this all up in your room.” His mom grabbed the shirts, while his sisters picked up the rest of the bags then went off in the direction of the living room.

Justin took the chicken out of the oven. William brought over the bacon, standing very close to him. “That was incredibly nice of your mom,” he said.

“My mom’s a nice person.” Justin shrugged. “Now, get the cheese out of the fridge.” He quickly chopped the bacon then topped the chicken with it. “Sprinkle a generous amount on each piece.” William did as he was told then Justin put the glass pan back in the oven before pulling the man close to him. William came willingly, wrapping his arms around Justin’s waist and pressing their lips together. “Ten minutes until the chicken is done. We need to start the sides.” Justin kissed him once more then turned to the cabinets, taking out a couple of cans of green beans and a family-sized bag of instant mashed potatoes. He busied himself preparing them. The whole time, he could feel William staring at him. He turned his head and William was leaning against the island, watching him.

“How do you feel about your mom calling me one of her kids?” he asked.

Justin shrugged again. “She likes you. My sisters do too.”

“And you?”

I love you. It was on the tip of his tongue, but he forced the words down. This was not the scenario in which he wanted to say something so important. Instead, he went to him, kissing him deeply. “Does that answer your question?” The timer sounded again. Justin let go of William so that he could take the dish out of the oven. “Can you ask Evie to set the table?”

“I can do it.” William shrugged one shoulder. “Just tell me where everything is.”

“Plates are in that cabinet. Silverware is in that drawer. Knives are in the one next to it. And the napkins are at the end of the counter.” He grabbed some potholders from the drawer next to the stove then put them in the center of the table. While William placed the dinnerware, he transferred the side dishes to serving bowls before arranging all the food atop the potholders. He walked into the living room. “Dinner’s ready.” Everyone took their seats at the table and filled their plates.

“Damn, Justin, this is amazing,” William said after the first bite.

“Thanks, honey,” Justin said softly.

“Did you get your homework done, Evie?” their mother asked.

“Yeah. William helped me with it. He’s amazing. He explained it in a way I understand,” Evie gushed.

“Thank you, William. Calculus was really kicking her butt.” Nora smiled broadly.

“I was happy to help.” William blushed slightly, and Justin found it to be incredibly endearing. “Oh, Evie, I forgot to ask, are things better in English?”

“So much. Principal Adams moved me to Mrs. Bowers’ class after you guys went up there. She regraded all my assignments, and I’m getting an A. I can’t thank you guys enough,” Evie said sincerely.

“I told you I’d take care of it sweetheart.” She was sitting to Justin’s right, so he patted her hand. “But there was no way I could have done it without William’s help.”

“Well, thank you again, my dear.” Nora’s smile hadn’t faded.

“Yeah, he’s pretty incredible.” Justin took William’s hand under the table when he blushed again. “How was band practice, Russell?” he asked to take the focus off William.

“It was awesome!” Russell said excitedly. “Kurt got us a gig at a club downtown next Saturday.”

“Oh my goodness, Russ, that’s amazing!” Maddison leaned over and hugged her husband.

“Wow, I’m so happy for you,” William told him.

“You guys are coming, right?” Russell asked nervously.

“Hell yes, we’re going,” Justin assured him. “There’s no way we would miss your first performance. I’ll get my friends to come out and support you as well.”

“Thanks, guys. That really makes me feel better.” he answered. “I’m kind of nervous.”

“You’re going to do great, babe.” Maddison kissed his cheek.

The excitement continued throughout the rest of dinner. When they had all finished, Maddison and Russell volunteered to clean up. Justin picked up Hunter, and William followed him into the living room.

“Why don’t you let me have Hunter while you go pack?” William suggested in a whisper.

Justin handed over the baby then kissed his cheek before heading for the stairs. In his room, he grabbed some clothes for work the next morning and his toiletries. He loved sleeping next to William and holding him close to him all night long. It was quickly becoming one of his favorite things to do. When he returned, William was still holding Hunter while he regaled his mother and sisters with a story about his early years at the paper. He had them all giggling, and Justin hated to interrupt. Almost. “I’m spending the night at William’s. Do you guys need anything before I go?”

“We’re all good, Justin,” Evie said with a wink. “Have a good night.”

“You ready, honey?” he asked William, who nodded.

“Good night, Ms. Nora.” William kissed Hunter’s cheek then handed him to his grandmother. “Bye, girls.”

“Bye,” they said in unison.

After a quick stop in the kitchen to say goodbye to Maddison and Russell, they were out the door. “So, I’ll meet you at your house.” Justin pulled William to him, kissing him lightly, before opening his car door and sitting him inside. William started the engine. Justin closed the door, walked over to his own truck, and got in. They pulled out of the driveway and made their way quickly to William’s. Inside, Justin wrapped his arms around William, pressing his lips to his and kissing him deeply. “You are remarkable with my family.”

“I like them, so it’s pretty easy.” William shrugged, pressing his lips back to Justin’s. Justin pulled him even closer, deepening the kiss. William was breathing heavily when they finally broke apart. His desire-filled eyes locked with Justin’s. “What do you say I try for that extra credit?”

A shiver of desire rushed through Justin. He had no idea what William had in mind, but it really didn’t matter. There wasn’t much he wouldn’t do for him. “That sounds incredible.”

William tugged him toward the bed, sitting him at the foot. He connected his phone to the Bluetooth speaker then scrolled through it to find the playlist that he wanted. Soon, a sultry melody filled the room, and William swayed to the music. His hands went to the hem of his tee shirt, slowly pulling it up to reveal bits of skin. Justin was mesmerized by his performance. Half of him wanted to grab William, push him down on the bed, and ravage his incredible body. The other part was immensely into this slow seduction. William shrugged out of his shirt then ran his hands leisurely down his chest. His fingers glided over his nipples, and Justin heard his breath catch. Downward he continued. His hands stopped at his waist, immediately going to the fastening on his jeans. He popped the button and unhurriedly pulled the zipper down. Justin’s heart beat faster when he slid them off and tossed them aside. William was wearing a pair of black bikini briefs, and Justin could clearly see the outline of his plump cock. William continued his slow striptease, keeping perfect time with the music. And fuck, Justin wasn’t sure he’d ever been so turned on. William fingered the waistband of the underwear, pulling them down just enough for Justin to see the head of his already rigid cock.

“Fuck, Will,” he said in a husky whisper.

“Want to see more?” William’s voice was teasing yet seductive.

“What I want is you naked and, in this bed,” Justin countered. William winked at him then oh-so slowly eased the briefs off. “You are so gorgeous , ” Justin told him. He kicked out of his shoes, ripped off his shirt, then shoved his pants and boxers down, tossing them to the floor beside the bed. William stepped closer, and Justin pulled him onto his lap so that he was straddling him. He groaned as their bare skin met. William didn’t stop his seductive dance. Pressed against Justin, he still moved his hips to the beat, causing the man to moan and pull him closer. William pressed his lips to Justin’s, kissing him deeply. They were clinging to one another by the time the kiss broke. “You are definitely getting an A-plus.”

“We haven’t even gotten to the best parts yet.” The mischievous grin told Justin that he was in for a long night of William teasing him, and he honestly couldn’t think of anything else he’d rather do.

“Oh yeah?” Justin could hear the need in his own voice. “What are the best parts?”

William slipped off his lap so that he was kneeling between Justin’s spread thighs. “Lean back on your elbows.”

Justin complied, his legs spreading wider as he did so. And then he was sure William was trying to kill him. Slowly, he ran his tongue along the crease of his left thigh causing Justin to moan. Then there were soft kisses all along his groin, from the tip of his cock down to his balls then back up. Justin’s head fell back when William moved to do the same on the other side. “Please, Will,” he said, raising his head to look at the man.

William looked up at him with a sexy grin before turning his attention to Justin’s hard cock. But that’s not where the torment ended. His tongue traced patterns along the shaft while he lightly caressed the sensitive skin of his balls. After a long while, his tongue circled the head of Justin’s cock. Justin’s breath stuttered, and his eyes closed.

“You’re killing me, honey.” Justin wasn’t sure how much more of this drawn-out torture he could take.

William made a pleased noise. “Poor baby.” The huff of air against his damp cock head as William spoke caused Justin to shiver.

William’s mouth closed around him, sucking lightly. “Fuck,” Justin muttered. William’s lips slid slowly up and down his shaft, taking him deeper with each pass. His mouth was hot, wet, and intense, as he kept his suction maddening delicate. “I need more. Suck harder.”

Instead, he stopped, causing Justin to groan. “Pull your legs back,” William softly instructed, and Justin was powerless but to do as he asked.

“Oh fuck.” William started at the head of his cock. His tongue lightly traced a path down his length, over his balls, and straight to his rim. “Will,” he gasped as the wet heat danced along all his sensitive nerve endings. This wasn’t something he usually allowed his partners to do to him. It made him feel too vulnerable and exposed, and that wasn’t something he was a fan of. But this was William, and that seemed to make this okay in his mind. None of his usual discomfort was there. All he felt was intense pleasure. The loud moans that he was unable to stop didn’t embarrass him the way they would have with anyone else. His body seemed determined to make sure William knew how incredible this felt. He let it go on for quite a while, stopping William only when his chest was heaving, and his legs were shaking. “I need to be inside you, like right now,” he whispered with urgency, pulling William up into the bed with him and kissing him with a fierce intensity.

“Do you?” William sounded smug as he reached into the bedside drawer for a condom and some lube.

Justin took the lube then flipped William around until he was on his elbows and knees before spreading some on his fingers. He had to take several deep breaths to try to calm himself before he got the other man ready. While he was wild with need, the thought of hurting the man he loves caused his hands to slow and his touch to be incredibly gentle. It, however, did nothing to diminish the raging desire he felt.

Soon, William’s breath was coming in heavy pants, and his body was trembling. “Fuck me, baby,” he begged.

Those words shredded any self-control he had left. Justin quickly took care of the condom then slid into the sweet heat of William’s body while the man moaned. As turned on as he was, slow and gentle went right out the window. Without permission from his brain, his hands grasped William’s hips, holding him in place for his savage thrusts. William, who seemed to approve, howled in pleasure. On the drive over, he had worked out this whole scenario in his head where he and William sweetly made love, then he confessed his feelings for him. That’s what he had meant to happen, but he was way too far gone to get back on that track. William’s moans and cries of pleasure only increased this frenzy he was feeling. He reached around to find the man’s rock-hard and leaking shaft, stroking in a way he knew would get him off quickly.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck. Justin!” William screamed as his orgasm coated Justin’s hand.

And that was it. The last dredges of his self-control snapped, and he fucked harder into his boyfriend’s all-but-boneless body, coming a few seconds later. He took care of the condom then went to get a rag to clean William up. The man still hadn’t moved when he returned, so he gently ran the warm wet cloth over his skin. William turned his head and smiled at him. “You okay, baby?”

“Absolutely.” William stretched. “But incredibly tired.”

Justin lay down next to him, pulling William into his arms so that his head was on Justin’s chest. In the comfortable silence, Justin lightly traced patterns on the bare skin of William’s back for several minutes. Damn, this is pretty much perfection. William was everything he hoped he’d find, and there was no way he was ever giving this up. Did William feel the same though? Only one way to find out. He ran his fingers through William’s hair, and the man made a pleased sound. “There’s something really important I need to tell you.”

“What is it?” William murmured sleepily, tilting his head up to meet Justin’s eyes. The poor guy looked completely wiped out, and Justin could see that he was fighting hard to keep his eyes open.

This wasn’t the way he wanted to have this conversation either. He wanted them both to be alert and focused on each other when he made this declaration. This was new territory for him. His relationship with William was way more intense and intimate than any that had come before it. Every second they were apart, all he could think about was when they would be together again. Fuck, I’ve got it bad. I’m head over heels, completely in love with this guy. And he really needed William to know that, but he didn’t want to say it for the first time like this. He would take him to dinner after work; that would be soon enough. “We can talk about it later. You should sleep, you look exhausted.”

William gave him a sleepy smile before pulling the covers over them and settling his head on Justin’s shoulder. “Good night, baby,” he whispered.

“Good night.” Justin softly kissed his forehead before clicking off the lamp. His arms tightened around William, pulling him even closer, and he felt the man smile. Yup, complete perfection. I love you, William. The sentiment took control of his brain, the words bouncing around his skull so intensely that they almost came out of his mouth. Tomorrow, he told himself, closing his eyes and drifting off.
