Noble Sacrifice in Belgrade

Former Green Beret Jake Noble takes on the disappearance of an American couple in Belgrade, assuming they are only tourists who dropped out of sight.

The search turns up a war criminal newly freed from prison, a thirty-year vendetta, and more bodies than a missing-persons case should hold.

Three thousand miles away, CIA officer Samantha Gunn is following a remote Serbian village that has fallen silent after a disease CDC scientists have never encountered and cannot contain.

She and Jake come to see that the vanishing and the outbreak are linked.

The man behind both spent three decades in The Hague for war crimes, and now that he is free he has built a weapon that can destroy a city within hours and is preparing to sell it on the open market.
