Chapter 19
Ollie
I’m not sure about this anymore.
I was good with this woman coming to stay in our house initially, even with the little dog she brought along. Because at first, there were extra walks, more time at the field to run and play. And she used to give me treats when no one was looking.
Okay, she still gives me treats. I’m lucky Nate hasn’t checked on how much peanut butter is left because Rory gives me a scoop every time I look at her with my sad eyes.
But the point is, the walks and ball-chasing outings have decreased. The two of them are spending time in Nate’s bedroom.
A lot of time, every day for almost a week now.
And the last time I tried to point it out, Nate just told me to stop whining and go lie down.
So I’m not sure having a girl in the house is working out in my favor anymore.
Nate’s just lucky I can’t tell Rory everything I know.
