Chapter 25

Chapter

Twenty-Five

Tatum

Fingers traced my collarbone, rousing me from sleep as the bus flew up the highway toward Columbus, Ohio.

I hummed, shifting without opening my eyes to give him more access.

I knew it was Tobias, not only because he’d fallen asleep beside me, which had become a habit for both of us, but because there was a curiosity that always bordered on worship when he touched me.

Like he couldn’t believe how intense living in the moment could feel after dulling the world for so long.

That wandering hand slid over my breast and gave it a squeeze, then he pinched my hardening nipple. I gasped as a jolt of need shot through me, and I arched into his touch.

“Are you going to open your eyes? Or do you have a somnophilia kink you haven’t mentioned before?” he asked, humor coloring his voice.

An answering grin stretched across my face.

“Definitely something to take into consideration.”

Tobias groaned, pushing his body against mine so I could feel his hardness against my hip.

“I want to do so much to you. Can I fuck you this morning?”

A flash of the first time I’d seen Tobias’s naked body came to mind, and I shivered at the thought of all those piercings inside of me.

“Yes, please. If you want to.”

“Condoms are in the side drawer.”

I sat bolt upright as Calix’s voice invaded the space and found him leaning against the closed door.

“What the fuck, Calix?”

His steel-blue eyes, somehow so much colder than his twin’s, sparked with something wicked. “Don’t tell me you’re shy, Tater-tots. I’m sure De Beaux would be down for fucking with an audience.”

It was too early to deal with Calix’s shit, and honestly, I had to admit there was a part of me that liked the idea of him sitting in the cuck chair while Toby and I enjoyed ourselves.

Dismissing him with an eye roll, I cupped Tobias’s cheek and kissed him, slow and deep. He responded immediately, rolling his tongue over mine as he reached for the drawer.

“Strip for us,” he said, ripping the foil packet with his teeth and sliding his boxer briefs off his hips.

I whipped my T-shirt over my head and leaned over his erection, flicking my tongue over his apadravya piercing before he could cover it.

“Angel, you keep that up, and I’ll never get inside you. I’ve been close to the edge all morning just imagining this.”

This was the thing I loved about Toby. There was no pretense. Just an honesty that, while confronting at times, left me with no doubt of where I stood with him.

Calix could learn a thing or two.

I shimmied out of bed while Tobias wrapped himself up and made a show of slipping out of my sleep shorts, bending low to slip them off my ankles so that Calix could see everything his twin was about to enjoy.

Two matching groans filled the air, and I hid my grin as I crawled across the mattress and spread out on my back.

There was no waiting this time, and I wondered just how long before I woke that Tobias had been planning this moment. His hand cupped my pussy confidently, dipping first one, then two fingers inside me. Testing.

“Come here,” I demanded, reaching for him as he positioned himself over me. Cupping his jaw, I pulled him down until our foreheads touched. “I won’t break.”

His gray-blue eyes met mine, heat sparking in their depths, and without another word he thrust all the way into me with one hard stroke. I cried out at the invasion, feeling stretched to my limits as sparks lit throughout my body. Toby paused, studying me as he gave me time to adjust.

“She’s fine. You know we’re the same size.” Asshole just had to insert himself in the moment.

“You two…?” Toby looked between us.

I nodded, unashamed. They knew what the arrangement was, and if it was going to cause tension, we’d have to deal with it.

Several emotions flickered across his face, and I wondered if this was a conversation that should have happened before he was balls deep in me.

“Well, I guess we should decide which twin does it better, then.”

Calix barked a laugh as Toby shifted his hips, dragging his Jacob’s ladder along my inner walls. He pulled almost all the way out, then slammed back in, setting a pace that set off sparks behind my eyes.

Where sex with Calix had felt thrilling and slightly dangerous, Tobias was fun.

He teased his brother while working my body like it was his favorite toy.

When I screamed through my second orgasm, he sat up on his knees, lifting my hips and drilling into me until he came with a hard curse.

Discarding the condom, he lay beside me on the bed, stroking his hands over my body as he eyed his brother.

“Are you going to take a turn? Or are you enjoying this little stint of voyeurism?”

“I don’t think he wants to,” I said, thinking of the last time when I broke the rules and got too close.

“Bullshit. He’s hard as a fucking rock. What are you going to do, Cal? I think she needs a reminder to properly compare us.”

Calix grunted, gaze flicking toward the door briefly, like he was trying to make himself walk through it. Tobias’s face lost its teasing light as the silence stretched.

“Let me help.”

Something passed between the twins, and a second later, Calix nodded. Tobias reached into the drawer and retrieved a new foil packet, then directed his brother to strip and sit against the headboard.

“I’m going to hold your arms while you ride him, Angel. Okay?”

It was easier sinking onto Calix’s length this time, my body already stretched and ready from Toby’s attention. Calix’s breath hissed out through his teeth as I settled over his hips and gave an experimental swivel.

“Good girl,” Tobias hummed, cuffing my wrists behind my back with his fingers.

I leaned my head back into his chest and started to move over Calix’s dick.

The brothers worked together, Calix driving up into me hard enough to make my tits bounce while Tobias thumbed my clit until I sobbed through a third orgasm.

When Calix finished, I collapsed onto the pillow beside him, too wrung out to hold myself up any longer.

The verdict was in, and it was a tie.

I must have fallen asleep, because I woke up some time later alone with my phone vibrating on the floor. Still half asleep, I answered the video call from Ruby and lay back amongst the pillows.

“Are you in bed? You have sex hair. Girl, tell me everything.”

“I’m pretty sure there are NDAs that I should honor.”

She snorted. “First off, NDAs don’t cover filling in your best friend. Second, I know damn well that you haven’t made your arrangement with those guys official, so there isn’t any NDA to honor.”

“Fine. All I’ll say is that the twins work really well together, and I don’t know if I’ll be able to walk tomorrow.”

Ruby cackled. “I don’t doubt that. And good for you getting some good dick. Fucking Adam didn’t know how to look after you.”

No. He didn’t. It had been weeks since I’d thought of my asshole ex, and despite the damage he had caused, my post sex glow almost had me convinced that I should thank him for fucking up my life. Then again, maybe not. I could have gone to jail for the shit he pulled.

“So tell me, how is the tour going?”

I settled in and filled Ruby in on all of the pieces she wasn’t aware of, waiting patiently through her laughter as I told her about Lainey’s black eye.

“You know damn well I’m a girl’s girl, but that bitch had it coming.”

“It wasn’t even her fault, though. It was a fucking roadie who is never working in this business again… Actually, I’m still not sure if Calix just had him killed. I wouldn’t put it past him.”

Ruby’s grunt could have been agreement or condonement.

“You know we’re majorly failing the Bechdel Test here, Tates.”

“Shut up, I’m talking work, not guys.”

“Only you could keep a straight face and call it work when you’re sleeping with the entire band.”

I had no comeback for that. Technically, Otis hadn’t tried to touch me since that first night when I turned down his kiss.

It felt like a lifetime ago, and I still wondered if I had made the right decision.

Given the new development in his relationship with Harvey, maybe it was better I let him decide what he needed.

But that wasn’t my story to tell, and if Ruby had heard anything about Otis’s moment in the headlines, she didn’t mention it.

We hung up a short time later, and I let my arm drop to the bed as a quiet knock came at the door.

A riotous head of blonde curls preceded Otis’s angelic face, and I gave him an inviting smile.

“What’s up? I was just thinking about you.”

He slipped into the room and paused, his eyes traveling over my body under the sheets.

I was still naked. Shit.

“I…uh…” Hiking the sheet a little higher, I sat up, trying to work out where my clothes had landed.

“It’s okay. I can…” He hiked a thumb at the door.

“No. No, it’s all right. I just don’t want to make you uncomfortable.”

He ran his eyes over the sheet again, then shook his head. “Trust me, I’m fine.”

“Are you?” I’d been wanting to have this conversation with him for a while, but the timing had always felt off. The man who had begun as the easiest one to relate to had become a stranger overnight.

He considered my question.

“Honestly, I spent a long time feeling sorry for myself when I should have just had a conversation. I’d spent years waiting for Harvey to notice me, and then you rejected me.”

“I—”

“No. You were absolutely right to. It was unfair of me to put you in that position when your life had just fallen apart. But when you proposed this arrangement, it felt like I’d lose my chance with both of you and…well…I guess you could say I didn’t take it well.”

He shoved his hands into his pockets, dropping his gaze with a self-deprecating grin.

“Otis.” I patted the mattress beside me and moved over to give him room as he took a seat.

“I never meant to make you feel like that. It’s not an understatement to say I wouldn’t be here without you.

I should have made more of an effort to talk to you.

To work this out. A lot changed between that first night and when I made that proposal—which I’m still not convinced isn’t going to blow up in my face. I just want everyone to be happy.”

Otis had the most expressive face of all the men in Goats and Vandals. His eyes spoke volumes as he took in my words and chose to believe them.

“Do you remember what I said to you that first night in your empty apartment?”

I thought back to a warm box of pizza on a hard wooden floor. Messy spreadsheets and an invitation of friendship from a virtual stranger.

“You said you guys need me as much as I need you.”

He nodded. “I was right. Probably more than I realized back then. This won’t blow up, because I think we were always meant to find each other. Do you believe in fate?”

“Ma always said things happen for a reason.”

“I really want to meet your Ma one day.”

I could just picture it. Calix being forced into friendly conversation with my dad while Ma showed Otis and Toby how to cook her famous lasagna. Harvey trying to convince me to sneak off and fool around in my childhood bedroom before we had to set the table for dinner. Longing welled up inside me.

“You will. One day.” Once I’d built up the courage to tell Ma about Adam’s betrayal and the full extent of the fallout.

“Tatum.” Otis’s gentle voice pulled me out of my suddenly morose thoughts. “If I kissed you…”

“Please do.”

He leaned in, pressing smiling lips to mine. I sighed, feeling the world realign into something that felt right. Whole.

Without pulling away from him, I slipped out from under the sheets, straddling his lap as his hands explored my body from shoulder to ass. I moaned as he traced his fingers down my crack and brushed his knuckles across my swollen folds.

“Are you sore?” he asked, stroking me softly.

“Yes, but I don’t care.”

He pushed an experimental finger inside me, fucking me slowly until I grew impatient and started pulling at his clothes.

“Do you need something?” he asked with a chuckle as I slipped his shirt over his head.

“You. Always you.” I paused, a thought occurring to me. “Unless this is going to screw things up with you and Harvey? I told him you both have to consent.”

He pulled open the bedside drawer, and I made a mental note to buy more condoms at our next stop. At the rate we were going, we’d run out in a matter of days.

“We already spoke about it. As long as you’re happy, the relationship we’re exploring is separate from what we choose to do with you.”

That was a relief.

The whole conversation had left me feeling lighter. A part of me healed from an injury I didn’t know I’d sustained. Otis was a grounding force amongst these complicated men that I had made mine, even if it was only for now.

When he entered me a moment later, I knew that no matter what happened next, I’d be okay.

Because everything really did happen for a reason.
