Prologue

APROPHECY (illegible date and time)

There is a time coming. Soon, you will see. When darkness has taken each land, and no one can be free.

Death and destruction are the way of life now, opening doors for those who take their dreary vow.

Nothing can stop her. It is too late. There is but one king to seal this wretched fate.

Look to the sun, for he is the one. His true love frees the fae, but someone will get in the way. Dishonesty breeds disaster from today, and each day after.

The tiny mortals will fall, and as they do, the fae will, too.

Mortals will run, but the fae will only find it all the more fun.

Tricky fae with their pointy teeth and clamped jaws think they are high enough to tiptoe around mortal laws.

There is one sorceress filled with might. She will tell this tale. One woman who will prevail. In the face of evil deeds and secrets kept, she will be the one for whom you wept. To hold the skies together, a single, hopeful tether. Neither life nor death will forget her.

The one by her side who will help with this catastrophic deed is a halfling, taken by lustful greed.

If the halfling intervenes, both sides will fall. First, the fae and the mortals shall follow. Not one lone being, mortal or fae, will live to save us all.

It is only the sorceress, as mighty as she can be, who may intervene, keeping fae and mortal free.

This is not sinister. It is not revenge. It is simply the tale of what we shall know as:
