Chapter 2 – Will
two
. . .
“Please, Drew, make it stop”
Will
Every time Drew shoots me a scornful glare across the room, I respond with a wink.
It’s been like this for most of the evening—a few words were exchanged between us as we sat next to each other and ate food alongside family and friends, but fleeting glances and her narrowed eyes have been our main forms of communication.
Standing at the bar, I take a soda from the bartender and chuckle to myself.
Ring Pops.
My sister and wife really thought I’d pull Ring Pops out my jacket pocket.
I don’t know whether to congratulate myself on a successful prank or be concerned over their lack of faith in my ability to safeguard a couple of rings for a few hours.
“Ohhh… you are in the doghouse.”
A deep voice belonging to my captain, Silas Stanton, filters from behind me before he joins me at the bar, asking for a pint of beer.
He spins around to face the room and I mirror his movements, both of us wearing an amused smirk.
“Nah, I’m not,” I say, swallowing a gulp of soda and setting the glass on the bar behind me. The bartender slides Silas’s fresh pint of beer alongside my drink. It’s an open bar tonight, with all expenses covered by my parents, but I don’t plan on drinking.
I need to be sober for what I have planned later.
Standing around thirty feet from me, Drew tosses her hair over one shoulder and gives me another warning glare.
My dick twitches in my pants.
That’s right, Baby, keep acting all mad at me.
Silas clears his throat, jerking his chin at my wife. “You did it as pay back for the joke Drew played on you the other week, didn’t you?”
I shrug and pretend like I have no idea what he’s talking about when my captain is absolutely correct.
While my wife is no longer my publicist for the obvious reasons, I’m still a client at the company she works for, First Line PR.
A couple of weeks ago, Drew thought it would be funny to pretend like the huge deal I was desperate to land with a very well-known lifestyle brand had gone south at the final hour.
That instead, they’d offered it to my number one “fan” and teammate, Tristan Vaughn.
Of course, he was in on it too. The bastard called me up and offered his condolences like he somehow cared about my feelings all of a sudden.
I fell for it, hook, line, and sinker, but I promised Drew that, at some point in the near future, I’d get her back. And today presented an opportunity that was too good to turn down.
Sure, I genuinely had forgotten the rings when we stepped into the hotel lobby, but I knew exactly where they were—tucked safely into an inside pocket of my suitcase.
“Can you imagine if I played a prank on Vesper?” Silas shakes his head and tuts. “Damn… I don’t think I’d be breathing right now.”
Like her ears are burning, Vesper swivels on her heel and locks gazes with Silas. His eyes drop to her rounded stomach, softening as he takes in the woman of his dreams and unborn child.
Vesper whispers something in Drew’s ear although from all the way over here, I can’t make out what she says.
Whatever it is, it has Drew striding toward me, ass swaying, tits bouncing as she holds me captive with her penetrative blue eyes.
My semi upgrades to a hard-on, cock straining against the zipper on my dress pants.
Sensing a chance to vacate the area, Silas picks up his beer and makes a beeline for Vesper, resting his free palm on her stomach and his forehead against hers.
I feel the tickle of Drew’s hair across my left cheek as she reaches behind me and sets her champagne glass down behind my back.
There’s a long moment of intense silence before she speaks in a low, very stern tone that has me biting down on my bottom lip.
“You’ve been a very bad boy today, Will. I told your mom what you did.”
I’m grinning like a Cheshire cat as I wrap a palm around her right hip and pull her body into me.
The tiniest gasp leaves her parted gloss-stained lips when she feels the thick ridge of my cock pressing into her abdomen.
“You always call me Willam when I’m in trouble.”
Bright blue irises are swamped by widening black pupils.
Goddamn, this woman is beautiful, powerful, and all fucking mine.
“Calling you William would mean giving you what you want. And I don’t reward bad behavior.”
My chuckle is pure sex. We’ve been married for less than six months and my addiction to this woman shows no sign of relenting. Especially not tonight and with how breathtaking she looks.
I move my hand from her hip to her ass, squeezing one firm globe in my palm. It’s a good thing there’re no kids around right now and my parents went to bed a few minutes ago. They have an early flight to the Caribbean in the morning. “Don’t lie to me, Baby.”
Her breathing hitches when I nibble on her earlobe, teasing my tongue over the diamond earrings I bought her for today.
I’ll take any excuse to drop money on my girl.
I wanted her dressed head-to-toe in my diamonds as well as the stunning dark blue floor-length dress she’s currently wearing.
It hugs every curve of her body, the sweetheart neckline granting me a perfect view of flushed skin that begs for my mouth.
“I’m not lying to you,” she volleys back, pressing her hand to the center of my chest. I know she can feel my heart hammering against my ribcage. “I simply have no interest in pleasing you tonight.”
I twist some of her silky hair around my finger. “So, if I take hold of your hand and lead you out of this room, to somewhere more private, you wouldn’t follow me?”
Drew’s expression is defiant although she doesn’t pull her hand away when I interlace our fingers. She chews on her bottom lip instead, and I lean in and release it with my teeth.
“Come on, Baby, let’s get out of here.”
Slipping out of the room, I guide Drew down a hallway with several doors leading off to the left and right.
“Will!” she whisper-hisses as I try one door and it doesn’t budge. “We’re going to get caught breaking the rules and be in so much trouble. These rooms are off-limits to hotel guests.”
My wife’s back is flat against the immovable door in seconds with my knee tracing up the inside of her thigh. “Oh no…” I tease. “Breaking rules? That’s definitely not something we should be doing.”
I capture her mouth with mine, sweeping my tongue across her bottom lip. Her whimpers act like a drug to my body, her tiny moans setting my blood on fire.
“I…” her breathy voice trails off.
“What do you need, wife?” I prompt, teasing her with verbal foreplay.
She shakes her head, internally warring with herself. It’s always been like this between us—me cautiously pushing the boundaries of my good girl’s comfort levels until she ultimately capitulates and screams my name all fucking night.
“I need you, Will,” she rasps into my mouth.
The urgency to slide inside her pulls our lips apart as I take her hand and we try the final room at the end of the hallway.
The doorknob twists and I grin at Drew when we’re met with a vast dark space.
Pressing my finger to my lips, we creep inside and I close the door quietly.
“Will…” Drew whispers in my ear, tugging on my hand.
Uncertain eyes sparkle in the moonlight which leaks through the windows set along the back wall. It gives us enough light to see what we’re doing but sufficient camouflage to be discreet.
Here’s to hoping this place doesn’t have infrared cameras installed.
“Just follow my lead and trust me, Baby.” I waste no time reassuring her, hitching up her dress, and wrapping my hands beneath her ass.
She releases a giggle and loops her legs around my waist as I walk us toward a large stage on the right-hand side of the room. This place must be used for performances and conventions.
Tonight, it’ll get the show of its life.
“Shhh…” I murmur against her lips. “I need you to be really quiet in case anyone is lurking in the hallway.”
She breaks the kiss. “But I didn’t say anything.”
“Ohmigod.”
Okay, that definitely wasn’t Drew.
Supporting her weight in one arm, I pull my phone from my pocket and activate the flashlight.
I turn around in a circle, Drew’s hands gripping the nape of my neck.
“That wasn’t my imagination, was it?” I say beneath my breath.
She shakes her head. “No. I heard it too.”
You know those moments when it’s probably best to walk away, yet curiosity reels you in until it’s too late and you can never unsee what you should’ve ignored in the first place?
Well, that’s me right now.
I point at the moving black curtain pulled across the stage, another moan echoing into the room.
“A thousand bucks says that’s Tristan and a random chick.”
Drew’s eyes flare wide as I lower her to her feet and I begin climbing the stairs leading to the stage.
“Will, you can’t,” she hisses from behind me.
I bring another finger to my lips, shoulders shaking with laughter. This guy deserves to get busted after the shit he pulled the other week—calling me to offer his condolences for a deal he could only secure in his dreams.
The curtain moves again right as I whip it back, ready to bust my teammate’s balls and remind him that public sex is illegal despite my intentions two minutes before.
“There’s kids still—”
I freeze when my eyes land on the back of Dad’s head … buried between …
“Holy fucking Jesus Christ!”
“Will!” Mom scoots back, Dad pulling her dress down over her knees.
I’ve never been into frosting but right now, I’m it’s biggest fan. It covers parts of my parents that would be burned into the deepest depths of my traumatized memory if they weren’t smeared in the remnants of the cake they cut only a few hours ago.
“What the fuck?” Dad exclaims, keeping his back to me as he fights with the zipper on his pants.
Now fully decent, he spins on his heel to face me. “What the hell are you doing in here?”
Like a devoted spouse who swore to support me through the good and the very bad times, Drew reluctantly steps out from behind me, cheeks flushed a deep crimson.
“We… uh… were looking for somewhere private.”
He arches a brow at me. “So you thought you’d check behind this particular curtain?”
Mom adjusts the strap on her dress, looking about as horrified as I feel. “This little mishap needs to stay between the four of us.”
“Oh, don’t worry about that,” I immediately respond. “I plan to schedule a double lobotomy as soon as possible.”
Mom deadpans at me, her eyes drifting down to her right.
Thinking I’m being helpful and she might’ve lost an earring, I shine my torch where she’s looking.
She hadn’t lost an earring.
I close my eyes the second I register the blue butt plug sitting on the floor.
“We were reenacting our wedding night. After all these years, we didn’t think the stage would still be here, but it is,” Dad explains, like somehow adding additional details to the horror show will reduce the number of therapy sessions I’ll require.
“Please, Drew, make them stop.” I quietly beg.
“Do you want to go to our hotel room now?” she asks.
Eyes still closed, I nod once and let her lead me back down the stairs and away from the crime scene.
“Well, William,” she breathes out, the sound of Mom and Dad’s laughter filtering from behind us as we leave and close the door. “If this isn’t an advertisement for the benefits of following the rules, then I don’t know what is.”
