Chapter 30
CHAPTER THIRTY
Cal
Kara had become the center of our world, and life with an omega was better than I could have ever hoped for. It had been a week since we’d bonded, and with each day, our individual connection grew stronger, and so did the entire pack’s.
Now that we were settled and had security protocols in place for when we went out with her, I was ready to take her out for a ride.
It was self-indulgent of me to want her wrapped around me and holding on for dear life when she’d already been lavishing us with affection.
She had never been on a motorcycle before, but she’d reluctantly agreed to at least try around the block a few times.
“I’m scared.” Kara held the helmet I handed her and looked from it to my bike. “What if we crash?”
“I mean… the possibility is there, but I’m the best driver and would never put you in danger.” I took the helmet from her and put up the visor. “Trust me.”
She bit her lip and gave me a quick nod before I put the helmet over her head. I’d had it specially made for her in the hopes she’d enjoy going for rides with me.
“My dads have motorcycles, but I’ve always been too scared to ride with them.” She looked at the motorcycle again. “You’ll go slow?”
“We’ll go around the block a few times and then you can tell me if you still want to go. If it’s too scary, we’ll take a car.” I threw my leg over the seat and patted the spot behind me.
“That’s not a whole lot of space, Callum.” Fuck, I loved when she used my entire name, no matter the reason.
“It’s plenty of space. Throw your leg over and scoot all the way against me. Your feet go on these pegs.” I reached down and touched one of them. “You keep them here the whole time.”
She sighed and grabbed onto me as she got situated behind me. The heat between her legs felt amazing as she slid flush against me and wrapped her arms around me. “I can’t believe I’m doing this.”
“The second you feel uncomfortable, pinch my stomach, and I’ll pull over.” I started the motorcycle and put on my helmet. “Ready?”
“I suppose.” She had a death grip on me, and her thighs squeezed so tight against me I worried that they might cramp up on her.
I knew that once we got out on it, she’d love it, but right then, she was shaking slightly and scared we were going to crash. My purr rumbled through me, adding to the rumble of the bike, and she relaxed slightly against me.
“Here we go.” I took off slowly out of the garage to the gate, which opened automatically as it sensed the vehicle. “You okay so far?”
“I’m good so far. It’s just really weird. Do I put the visor thing down so I don’t get a mouth full of bugs?”
“We’ll wait. We’re only going fifteen to twenty miles per hour in the neighborhood.
Plus, I want to be able to hear you. Here we go.
Just do what we talked about.” I pulled out of the gate and was happy to see there were no paparazzi staked out since we’d done a quick interview on video call the day before.
They’d all wanted the first pictures of us with our omega, but Anya and Jonathan had taken some of us and posted them on our social media, thwarting that plan. There was always the chance they’d follow us, but it wasn’t worth the worry.
I circled the block a few times and could feel Kara becoming more and more relaxed with each passing minute. Stopping outside our house, I put my hand over one of hers. “We good?”
“Yes!” Oh, fuck yes. She was enthusiastic, and excitement filled her voice.
“Put your visor down and hold on.” I waited until her hand was back in place and put my own visor down.
It was a gorgeous day and traffic was decent enough that we didn’t have to stop at all.
I hadn’t told her where we were going because one of my favorite things was to see her surprised expression when one of us did something she wasn’t expecting, like the impromptu living room concert in our underwear or when Tate scooped her up from a patio chair and jumped right into the pool with her.
There was this joy and lightness that we hadn’t felt for a while as a pack, and it made me both ecstatic and a bit angry that we were being kept from it. A lot of changes were needed to the World Pack Health Organization and Omega Match, and hopefully we could help bring that change.
I parked outside my warehouse and took off my helmet, waiting for Kara to get off the bike. I missed the press of her body as she carefully dismounted and pulled the helmet off. She walked forward, gaping at the building.
I grinned and couldn’t wait to see her take out some of her pent-up aggression on something. “How was the ride?”
“Amazing. What is this place?” She turned to look at me, her face flushed from wearing the helmet.
“You tell me what you think it is.” I led her to the door and unlocked it but didn’t open it.
“I honestly have no clue… unless this is your evil workshop.” She wiped at a drip of sweat on her forehead. “Do they have helmets with fans or air conditioners?”
I laughed and opened the door, gesturing for her to enter. “No, they don’t. You just have to get used to it. After you, my lady.”
She gasped as she walked in and turned to face the inside of the warehouse. “You have an indoor junkyard.”
I shut the door and locked it, chuckling. “It’s kind of like one, but this is where I come to get out my aggression or just when I need time alone.” I took her helmet and put it with mine on a table next to the door. “Do you want water, beer, or soda?”
“Water.” She walked farther into the room, her eyes taking in everything. “So, you destroy these things?”
I grabbed two water bottles and handed her one. “Yup. I thought you’d like to see it and watch me break a few things.”
She took a long drink of water, her eyes narrowing slightly. I just grinned because if there was anything I’d learned about Kara in the last week it was that she liked challenges. “If you think I’m just going to sit on that junky couch over there and watch, you have another thing coming.”
“Hey, that couch is not junky.” I went to the storage cabinet and pulled out gloves and glasses. “Do you want a jumpsuit? You’re covered up, so you should be safe.”
“No jumpsuit.” She walked over to where I kept different sizes of sledgehammers and picked a lighter one. “I can smash anything I want?”
“Yes.” I handed her the glasses and gloves and put my own on. “Except in this corner where we hang out.”
She practically skipped out into the junk, looking for her first casualty. I had a feeling she was going to go for a car, and sure enough, she stopped by one and looked back at me. “This one is pretty beat up, but it still has some windows. Can I smash them?”
I joined her. “Have at it.”
She squealed in delight, swinging the hammer at the back passenger window. It shattered on impact, and she ran to the other side to smash the other.
There was something so sexy about watching her swing the hammer, and I pressed my palm against my crotch as my cock started to come to life. It seemed to constantly be hard around her.
“My arms are already burning.” She swung her hammer and knocked off the side mirror. “I’m going to need a massage later.”
“Anything and everything you want is yours.” I wanted my omega to have everything her heart could ever desire because she had already given me everything I’d ever dreamed of.
