47. Lachlan

Chapter Forty-Seven

Lachlan

The afternoon sun is warm on my skin. The boat rocks gently beneath us, the gentle sway a reminder of how far we've drifted from shore.

The town and shoreline have fallen out of sight behind us—nothing but open water in every direction now.

I watch Kaia stretch out on the deck, her skin sun-warmed and glowing. She's relaxed. Happy. Free.

And I want her. Not just physically—though gods, I do—but I want this. This moment. Her freedom. Her unwavering trust.

From beside me, Jonas catches my eye and smiles.

He knows. Of course he knows.

Finn and Adrian are on the lower deck. I can hear the low murmur of voices, the shift of movement. Finn laughing, bright and unguarded. Then quieter. Softer. I glance at Kaia. She's listening too. Her cheeks are flushed. Her scent is everywhere—sweet and warm and wanting.

Jonas shifts closer to her. His hand settles on her ankle, casual and easy. "You okay?" he asks quietly.

She nods. "Yeah. I'm…" She pauses, looks at me, then back at Jonas. "I'm really okay."

"Good," Jonas says. His thumb brushes against her skin. "Because we've been thinking about this all day."

A shiver runs through her despite the warm sun. "You have?"

I move closer, kneeling beside her. My hand comes up to cup her face. "Yeah," I say. "We have."

Her eyes are wide. Dark even in the sun. Trusting.

"Here?" she asks softly.

"Here," I confirm. "If you want."

She glances toward the lower deck. We can hear Adrian's low voice, Finn's responding moan. Her scent spikes. "They're…" she starts.

"Yeah," Jonas says. "They are."

She looks between us. "And you want…"

"You," I finish. "We want you."

She exhales slowly, then nods. "Okay."

"Okay?"

"Yes."

I lean in and kiss her slowly, deeply. She melts into me, her hands coming up to grip my shoulders. Jonas shifts, his hands sliding up her legs, slow and deliberate. She gasps into my mouth.

I pull back just enough to look at her. "Still okay?"

"Yes," she breathes. "Don't stop."

I don't. Jonas helps her out of her swimsuit top, his movements careful, reverent.

The sun hits her bare skin, casting her in a golden glow.

Water droplets cling to her shoulders from her still-dripping hair, catching the light like tiny sparks, and for a moment, I forget everything except her.

She's beautiful. I trace the line of her collarbone and down between her breasts. She shivers.

"Cold?" I ask.

She shakes her head. "No. Just…"

"Overwhelmed?"

"In the best way."

I smile. "Good."

Jonas leans in and kisses her shoulder, then her neck.

She tilts her head back, eyes fluttering closed.

I watch her, the way her breath quickens, the way her body responds.

From below, I hear Finn cry out, sharp and needy.

Kaia's eyes snap open, pupils blown wide.

"You like that," Jonas murmurs against her skin. "Hearing them."

She nods, unable to speak.

"Good," I say. "Because they can hear us too."

Her entire body goes taut. Her thighs clench.

I slide my hand down her stomach, slow, giving her time to stop me—she doesn't. Jonas hooks his fingers into her swimsuit bottoms and pauses, looking at her with pure lust in his eyes.

She nods. He slides them down carefully, deliberately.

And then she's completely naked, sun-warmed and vulnerable and perfect.

"Fuck, Kaia," I breathe.

She reaches for me, pulling me down into a kiss that's deeper this time, hungrier. Jonas's hands are on her thighs, spreading them gently. She gasps into my mouth. I pull back and look at Jonas. He's watching her with that quiet intensity he has.

"You good?" I ask him.

He nods. "Yeah. You?"

"Yeah." We've done this before, not with her, but with Finn. We know how to move together, how to coordinate, how to make sure she feels everything without becoming too overstimulated. Jonas leans down and kisses the inside of her thigh. She tenses slightly.

"Breathe," I murmur, my hand cupping her face, grounding her. "We've got you."

She exhales slowly. Jonas moves higher, his mouth finding her center. She cries out, sharp, surprised. I kiss her, swallowing the sound. Her hands grip my shoulders, tight and desperate.

Jonas is methodical, patient. He knows exactly what he's doing. She's falling apart, her hips lifting, seeking more. Jonas holds her steady, his hands firm on her thighs. I pull back from the kiss to watch her face. Her eyes are closed, mouth open, breath coming in short gasps.

"Look at me," I say softly.

Her eyes flutter open, unfocused, overwhelmed.

"There you are," I murmur.

She tries to speak but just gasps as Jonas does something with his tongue that makes her whole body arch.

From below, I hear Adrian's voice, low and commanding, then Finn's responding moan, louder this time. Kaia's scent explodes around us. I lean down and suck gently at her neck, then whisper against her ear, "They're listening to you too."

Her eyes widen, then roll back as Jonas increases his pace.

I shift and remove my swim trunks. Jonas does the same without breaking rhythm.

Kaia's gaze drops, taking me in. "Lachlan," she breathes.

"I know," I say. "But not yet. Not until you're ready." Jonas pulls back slightly, his fingers replacing his mouth, sliding inside her.

She cries out, louder this time.

"That's it," Jonas murmurs. "Let them hear you."

Her body is trembling. Close, so close.

I lean down and kiss her neck, her shoulder, the hollow of her throat. "Come for us," I murmur against her skin. "Let go."

Jonas curls his fingers, finding that sweet spot inside her. And she breaks. Her whole body arches; her cry echoes across the water. I hold her through it, grounding her, keeping her safe. Jonas doesn't stop, just gentles his touch, drawing it out. When she finally stills, she's gasping, shaking.

"You okay?" I ask softly.

She nods. "Yeah. I'm…" She laughs breathlessly. "I am. I really am."

"Good," Jonas says. He shifts up beside her and kisses her softly. "Because we're not done."

Her eyes widen. "You're not?"

I shake my head. "Not even close."

Jonas and I switch places. I position myself between her legs, the hard length of my cock, already sheathed in a condom, pressing against her entrance, while he moves to her side, his hand stroking her hair.

"You ready?" I ask.

She nods. "Yes."

I lean down and kiss her slowly, then shift, angling myself. I inch into her, slow and careful.

She gasps, her nails digging into my shoulders.

"Breathe," Jonas murmurs. "Just breathe." She does. And I slide deeper. Fuck. She's warm, tight, perfect. I still, giving her time to adjust.

"Okay?" I ask.

"Yes," she gasps. "Move. Please."

I do, slow at first, steady. Her body adjusts, accepting me. Jonas's hand is on her breast, his thumb brushing across her nipple. She moans, her hips lifting to meet mine.

From below, I hear Adrian's groan, deep and guttural, then Finn's responding cry. Kaia's eyes snap to mine, wide and overwhelmed.

"They're close," I say. "Can you hear them?"

She nods, unable to speak.

"Good," I say. "Because you're going to come with them."

She trembles harder, her inner walls clenching.

I increase my pace, not rough, just more insistent.

Jonas leans down and kisses her, deep and consuming.

Her body is trembling again, the pressure building.

I can feel how close she is in the way she tightens around me. "That's it," I murmur. "Let go."

Jonas's hand slides down between her legs, finding her clit.

She breaks the kiss, crying out. "Lachlan…"

"I know," I say. "I've got you."

Below, Finn's voice rises, sharp and desperate.

Then Adrian's command, low and firm—and Finn comes, loud and unrestrained.

Kaia's body responds like she's connected to them.

She cries out, her whole body rising up from the deck.

I feel her tighten around me, pulsing. And then I follow, groaning her name as I come.

For a moment, there's nothing but sensation—the warmth of her body, the sound of her breathing, the gentle rock of the boat. Jonas's hand is still in her hair, grounding her. I stay inside her, not ready to move yet. "You okay?" I ask softly.

She nods. "Yeah. I'm…" She laughs breathlessly. "I'm perfect."

I smile. "Yeah. You are."

I shift carefully, pulling out. She winces slightly.

"Sore?" Jonas asks.

"A little," she admits. "But in a good way."

I reach for a towel and clean her gently. She watches me, her expression soft, trusting.

Jonas shifts. "My turn?"

Kaia blinks. "Your…what?"

He smiles. "If you're up for it."

She looks between us, then nods slowly. "Yeah. Okay."

I move aside, giving Jonas space. He presses in between her legs, his hands gentle on her thighs. "You sure?" he asks.

"Yes," she says. "I'm sure."

Jonas is different than me. Slower, more deliberate. He takes his time, learning her, reading her responses. I watch from beside them, my hand stroking her hair. She's beautiful like this: open, vulnerable, trusting.

From below, I hear movement. Footsteps on the ladder.

Adrian appears first, then Finn. Both flushed, both satisfied. They take in the scene, Kaia beneath Jonas, me beside her. Finn grins. "Damn."

Adrian's expression softens. "She okay?"

"More than okay," I say.

Kaia's eyes find theirs. She doesn't look embarrassed, just present.

"Hi," she says breathlessly.

Finn laughs. "Hi yourself."

Adrian moves closer and sits on the other side of her, his hand settling on her ankle. "You're beautiful," he says quietly.

She flushes. "I'm…"

"Beautiful," he repeats. Firm. Final.

Jonas shifts, pressing deeper. She gasps, her hands gripping his shoulders.

Finn settles beside me, his hand on my shoulder. "She's ours," he says softly.

"Yeah," I agree. "She is."

We watch together, all of us present, all of us connected. This is what pack means. Not just proximity or affection, but this. Complete trust. Complete vulnerability. Complete belonging.

Jonas's pace increases, still controlled, still careful, but more intense. Kaia's breathing changes, faster, shallower. "Jonas…"

"I know," he murmurs. "I've got you."

Adrian's hand slides up her leg, his thumb brushing against her inner thigh. She moans, louder this time. Finn leans down and kisses her shoulder. And she's surrounded, held, loved. "Come for us," Jonas says softly. "Let go."

Adrian's hand finds her clit, applying gentle pressure. And she breaks, crying out, her body arching off the deck. Jonas follows moments later, groaning her name. We hold her through it, all of us, grounding her, keeping her safe.

When she finally stills, she's gasping and shaking. Jonas pulls out carefully and I hand Adrian a towel. The Alpha carefully cleans her, his movements gentle, devout. Finn wraps another, clean towel around her shoulders. And I pull her into my lap, holding her close.

"You okay?" I ask softly.

She doesn't answer with words. Instead, her eyes open slowly, moving from me to Adrian, lingering on his face—on the intensity there, the devotion.

Then to Jonas, whose hand is still gentle on her back, whose presence is steady and grounding.

Finally to Finn, whose smile is soft and unguarded, whose joy is written across every feature.

Her gaze settles on each of them in turn, really seeing them.

Taking them in. Her breathing evens out, her body relaxes deeper into mine, and something in her expression shifts—settles.

It's not relief exactly. It's recognition.

Acceptance. Home. She doesn't need words.

None of us do. We can read it in the way her shoulders drop, the way her fingers curl into my shirt, the way she lets herself be held without reservation.

She's here. She's safe. She's ours. And we know.

We stay like this for a while, tangled together on the deck. The sun is warm on our skin, the ocean rocking us gently. No one speaks. We don't need to. This moment says everything.

Eventually, Finn breaks the silence. "So," he says. "Best boat day ever?"

Kaia laughs, full and bright and unguarded. "Yeah," she says. "Best boat day ever."

Adrian smiles. Jonas chuckles. And I hold her closer. Because this, right here, this is everything.

Later, we move into the cabin. The sun is lower now, the air cooler. Kaia is wrapped in blankets, surrounded by all of us. She's quiet, content.

"You okay?" Jonas asks.

She nods. "Yeah. Just processing."

"Good processing or bad processing?" Finn asks.

She smiles. "Good. Definitely good."

Adrian's hand settles on her knee. "You're safe with us. Always."

"I know," she says. "I really do."

As the sun starts to set, we weigh anchor and head back toward shore. Kaia stands at the railing, watching the coast grow closer. I step up beside her, sliding my hand into hers. The gesture is quiet. An offering. No questions. Just presence.

She nods. "I was just thinking."

"About what?"

"About how different everything is now."

"Good different?"

She looks at me, her eyes soft and warm. "The best different."

I wrap my arm around her and pull her close. "Good," I say. "Because you're ours now. Completely."

She leans into me. "I know."

And she does. She's not running anymore. She's not hiding. She's just here. With us. Where she belongs.
