Kara McIntyre – In the last week she has quit her job as costume designer at the Clydeside TV Studio, called off her wedding and moved out of the flat she shared with her fiancé, Josh. 2025 isn’t starting off well.
Drea McIntyre – Kara’s older sister. Owner of upmarket travel concierge service, just days away from her dream destination wedding to Seb Canning, the love of her life.
Josh Jackson – Kara’s now ex-fiancé. Director of the PR company that represents the Clydeside TV Studio.
Jacinta McIntyre – Kara and Drea’s mother, free spirit, former actress, afficionado of floaty chiffon outerwear and all things luvvie.
Corbin Jacobs – Lead actor on the soap, The Clydeside , lecherous arse and root of all Kara’s professional woes.
Ollie Chiles – Kara’s best friend, born and bred in Glasgow, now lives in LA after shooting to stardom when he landed a major role in The Clansman , an American TV spin-off of the movie franchise of the same name, watched by millions across the globe.
Sienna Montgomery – Ollie’s wife (she kept her maiden name when they married), born in LA, actress and former Disney teen star, now navigating the bumpy world of the New York stage.
Moira Chiles – Ollie’s mum, a former pub and club crooner, now a cabaret singer on cruise ships. Been known to declare that she has the best set of pipes ever to come out of Glasgow. Although, she’ll concede under pressure that Lulu comes close.
Calvin Fraser – Semi-retired entertainment manager, prides himself on his grooming standards, his patience, and his ability to survive almost forty years in the shark-infested waters of the film and TV industry.
Alice Brookes – Recently reverted to her maiden name after finally escaping almost thirty years of marriage to notorious corrupt politician Larry McLenn. Currently living in her friend Val’s spare room.
Val Murray – Widow, mum, gran, force of nature, friend and nucleus of a group of kick-ass women who lift each other up with love, support and an ever-present biscuit tin.
Zac Corlan – Family law solicitor specialising in divorce, only child, born in Dublin to Scottish mum, Morag, and Irish dad, Cillian.
Cillian Corlan – Zac’s father, owner of a construction company, still mourning the loss of his wife, Morag, who passed away almost a year ago.
