PROLOGUE

‘Your attention, please! Guys and girls! Everyone! I’ve called you over to share big news! Pardon me if I’m a little hoarse. I’ve been screaming, cackling, bawling for one hour straight. Anyways, I’ll get right to it. Your girl made history! I’m the first woman DJ to ever book Solstice main stage!’

‘Hear, hear!’

‘Cheers!’

‘You go, girl!’

‘That’s what’s up!’

‘Next summer, I’ll be performing at the Solstice Music Week alongside some of the best in the business. Tonight, though, we’re going to party. Just don’t trash my new place! The sofa is suede. Mess it up and I’ll mess you up. Also, careful out there on the balcony. My plants are my babies. Please don’t knock them over like last time. I love you all, but you’re a rowdy bunch. Other than that, there are no rules. I’ll be your DJ tonight. Get ready to dance until the sun comes up or my new neighbours call the cops, whichever comes first. Without further delay, let’s get this party started!’
