Chapter 3
Chapter Three
C ollin was in the middle of editing footage for a video he planned to post on Sunday when his phone vibrated against the wooden surface of his desk. He glanced at it to check the message. He was expecting it to be from his brother, but when the screen showed a new message notification from OnlyFangs, his pulse spiked.
What did Mikael want?
Collin hesitated.
Luna sat at his feet and looked at him curiously. Collin gave her a little pat. She hadn’t been her usual self all day, which worried him. She always became a little less energetic toward the end of the lunar cycle when the moon was waning in the sky, but this month she seemed to be taking it exceptionally hard.
He hoped that was the only reason.
He’d have to take Luna to the vet soon if her condition didn’t improve.
His phone buzzed again, the screen lighting up with another alert from Mikael.
He sighed. He did not have time for the vampire’s pestering right now. Wasn’t he supposed to be asleep at this time of day?
Collin grabbed his phone and opened the messages.
Mikael: Hello, handsome. Are you awake yet?
Then, two minutes later: “Please text me when you’re up.”
Collin looked at the clock. It was past 10 am. How long did the vampire think Collin would sleep? He wrote back.
Collin: The surprising part isn’t that I’m awake. It’s that you are.
Mikael: Can’t sleep.
Collin frowned at the message. He’d never thought about vampires catching insomnia.
Collin: Something keeping you up?
He watched the typing bubbles appear and then vanish several times as Mikael typed out his reply, then apparently deleted it. Finally, his message appeared.
Mikael: Thoughts of you. ;)
Heat rushed through Collin’s body, but he didn’t believe Mikael’s flirting for a second.
Collin: Stop screwing with me.
Mikael: I wish I were screwing you. I’d screw you so hard you’d forget your own name, so hard MY name was the only thought in your head.
Collin swallowed and shifted his weight in his chair, adjusting his position so his hardening dick wasn’t trapped between the chair and his body. Fucking hell. Mikael and he joked around with each other sometimes, but the vampire had never gone that far.
Was this still a joke?
Collin stared at the message.
What was he supposed to say to that?
Collin’s phone vibrated again, and another message appeared.
Mikael: Sorry if I crossed a line here.
Collin bit his lower lip and typed. He wasn’t going to admit to Mikael that he’d rattled him.
Collin: You didn’t cross a line. I was speechless because you give yourself way too much credit.
Mikael’s response came quickly. “You don’t think I could make you forget your own name?”
Collin’s dick throbbed in his pants. “I don’t think you could make me do anything,” he replied.
He hit send and immediately regretted it because Mikael was never gonna let that challenge go unanswered.
And sure enough, the vampire wrote back.
Mikael: There’s going to be a party at the Rubyville Nightclub next month, on the 18th. A masquerade. Come and meet me there, let me prove to you that you’re wrong.
A shiver went down Collin’s spine.
Fuck.
Mikael wanted him to go to a vampire club? Where everyone would smell that he was mortal? That wasn’t gonna happen.
Collin: No way. Not happening.
Mikael: Scared?
Collin scoffed as he typed. “I’d be a snack for every single vampire in attendance.”
Mikael: Now who’s giving himself too much credit?
Collin blew out a breath, remembering that Mikael couldn’t know that every vampire in the club would be drawn to Collin’s scent. Mikael had no idea what Collin was, and Collin wanted to keep it that way. As he stared at his phone, another message popped up on the screen.
Mikael: You really think I’d let another vampire snack on you?
Collin hesitated for a moment, but he couldn’t help but respond to Mikael’s question. “What would you do if another vampire came for me?”
Mikael: I’d rip his throat out.
Collin stared at his phone.
Fuck.
Mikael’s words were strangely arousing. Collin’s hand wandered downward, cupping his groin, rubbing at his hard cock as he typed out his response with his thumb. “You’d kill for a chance to bite me?”
Mikael: Yes, I would.
Collin shuddered.
This was crazy.
Mikael: Then I’d take you to my room. Lay you out on the bed. Taste every part of you.
Collin groaned quietly as Mikael’s words got his dick interested. He palmed his erection, rubbing himself through his jeans, picturing it. Imagining Mikael doing what he’d just promised.
Fuck, he shouldn’t be doing this.
He shouldn’t be encouraging Mikael, especially not in this way, because they could never do what Mikael suggested.
But he loved the fantasy. Loved imagining Mikael’s hands on his naked body, touching him. Mikael kissing down his chest, licking along his stomach, sucking at Collin's skin, biting… Collin’s cock jumped. Shit. This was bad. He had to stop this conversation before it got out of control.
Mikael was still typing, though, and Collin wanted to see what he would write.
Mikael: First the neck. Right above the collarbone…
Mikael: Then I’d bite down on the soft skin of your belly, taste the blood that wells up from the puncture wounds. It’d be sweet and warm and perfect. And then I’d move lower, spread your legs, lick along your inner thigh.
Collin swallowed and squeezed his cock through the denim. Fuck, he needed to get himself together. He was not going to jerk off over a text message.
“And if I tell you to stop?” he typed.
Mikael’s reply was immediate.
Mikael: You won’t.
Collin shuddered again and bit down on his bottom lip, hard. He tasted copper on his tongue. His hand fumbled with the button of his pants, opening it and pulling down the zipper before he reached inside and pulled his erection out through the slit in his boxers. Fuck, that felt good.
He stroked himself slowly.
What was Mikael doing? Did he have his hand on his cock too? Was he jerking off to the same images Collin was?
His phone rang in his hand, startling Collin, and the sound of it nearly made him jump out of his skin.
Mikael was using the app's voice call feature!
Collin scrambled to answer, but before he could say anything, a familiar voice spoke into his ear, deep and sexy and so fucking hot. “Are you touching yourself?” Mikael asked.
Collin’s face heated.
He couldn’t lie to Mikael. He knew.
“I…” His fingers tightened around the base of his shaft as he fought to get the words out. “Yes.” He hated admitting that, but there was no point in trying to deny it. “You?”
There was a pause on the other end of the line. Then the unmistakable sound of skin moving against skin reached Collin’s ears.
“I am now,” Mikael whispered. “Fuck, I’ve been hard all night.”
Collin swallowed, stroking himself faster as his heart hammered away inside his chest. He was so close, so fucking close already. “Tell me,” he demanded. “Tell me what you want to do to me.”
The vampire groaned. “I want to pin you down. Bite you. Mark you. Fuck you.”
Collin moaned, his cock pulsing with every beat of his heart.
“I’d hold you down and suck your dick,” Mikael continued, “And then…” The vampire’s voice grew rougher, his breath heavier as he kept talking. “I’d flip you over, bend you over the edge of the bed and fuck you, nice and slow, and when I was ready, when I had you begging for it, I’d bite down and drink from you while you come apart around my dick.”
“Oh fuck,” Collin gasped as Mikael’s voice pushed him over the edge, and he climaxed in his hand, spilling all over himself, Mikael’s name tumbling from his lips as he lost himself in the sensation.
When the world stopped spinning and he came back to himself, he became aware of Mikael’s voice speaking to him again.
“…and then I would kiss you.” He sounded almost tender now, as if he was sharing a secret with Collin, something precious and fragile. It was a strange shift from the filthy things he’d told Collin moments ago.
Collin blinked, his hand falling away from his softening dick as he tried to make sense of the world again. What had Mikael just said…? Kiss. That was what Mikael wanted to do after he bit Collin and fucked his brains out?
Collin laughed, and it came out breathless.
This whole situation was mad.
“You’re insane,” he muttered.
Mikael hummed in agreement. “You make me that way.”
Collin shook his head even though the other man wasn’t there to see him.
“Come to the party,” Mikael said. “Meet me there and let me prove to you just how good we could be.”
Collin sighed. “I’ll think about it,” he lied because he knew he wouldn’t.
He wasn’t going to put himself at risk like that. He wasn’t going to a vampire club.
“There’ll be other streamers there too,” Mikael added, as if that might convince him. “Everyone’s going.”
Collin laughed softly. “All the other streamers who want to collaborate with me? You’ll have a lot of competition.”
He expected Mikael to laugh too, but the other man was silent for so long that Collin almost checked if he’d hung up. But then Mikael spoke again. “They’re no competition for me.”
Collin snorted. “Right.”
“I mean it.” Mikael sounded completely convinced of himself. So much so that Collin couldn’t help but tease him.
“It’s a masquerade. You might not even recognize me.”
“I’d recognize you anywhere.”
The statement was so sure and matter-of-fact that it made Collin wish he really could go to the party, just to prove Mikael wrong. He’d wear a ridiculous full-body suit, and then he’d stand right across from Mikael, just to see how long Mikael would stare before realizing who Collin was.
He smiled at the thought.
Too bad it wasn’t going to happen.
