Chapter Thirty-Nine

Marcus

M y eyes open to see sunshine pouring into the room through the windows. Shit, I don’t remember the last time I slept like this. Not waking up in the middle of the night and sleeping past sunrise feels good.

My senses come back to me when I feel a weight on my side. I’m warm, but I don’t feel a blanket over me. I look down to see Gigi curled against my side, leg swung over mine, hand on my chest.

Fuck.

That’s when the smell of her shampoo hits me, when my body recognizes the fact that she’s cuddled against me, and my cock decides it’s fun that her leg is a couple inches away.

I internally curse the damn pillow wall that didn’t work as designed and slowly shift my body away from hers, being careful not to wake her. That doesn’t work as the movement only makes her move closer, like she’s pinning me down. In the movement, her leg fully rests against my dick.

Fuck.

Now I’m rock hard, and I have to get out of this bed.

I move again and carefully place her hand on the bed as I sit on the edge of the mattress. That time, the movement was enough to wake her up.

“Prince?”

“Good morning, G.”

Her eyes open, squinting at the sunlight, a concerned look on her face as she inspects the bed. “Oh no, where did the pillow wall go?”

“On the floor.”

I think she’s realizing she’s in the middle of the bed, and her cheeks take on a shade of pink that’s actually sort of cute.

“Um, well, that didn’t work, I guess. Did I wake you up? I usually toss and turn when I sleep.”

“No, I woke up on my own. And no, the wall didn’t work.”

She picks up her phone. “Hey, it’s eight. You never sleep this late.”

“I know.”

“Maybe it’s the mattress; it’s pretty comfortable. You should see what kind it is.”

“Yeah, I’ll ask my mom.”

I stand from the bed now that my dick is cooperating and walk to the bathroom. I close the door and curse the fact that it wasn’t the mattress that helped me sleep so peacefully.
