VIGO
The candy was the best part. I mean, wearing my mask was practically synonymous with fun — the Hunt, the robberies we did while we wore them (although we’d been too busy to pull one of those in a while) — but the only place I ever got to wear my mask and have candy was at the Blackwell Falls Harvest Masquerade.
The park was packed so we left the G-Wagon a few blocks away and went on foot.
Halloween was big in Blackwell Falls. The streets were crowded with costumed kids holding pumpkin-shaped buckets and teenagers who’d done the bare minimum to dress up carrying pillow cases for the candy they hoped to score for one more year.
The houses around the park went all out every year: cobwebs and spiders, skeletons hanging from the trees, colored light flickering from inside, spooky music playing over outdoor sound systems.
“We definitely have to hit the haunted house,” I said as we passed the local realtor’s office.
They always made a haunted house inside and at the end they gave out full-size candy bars.
And yeah, I could have bought a candy bar anytime but it was more fun to get it for free.
Cassie laughed behind her mask. “I used to get so scared in there. Bram loved it.”
Not going to lie: I got hot around the collar seeing her in the mask. It made me think about our first night with her in the tunnels, when we’d chained her naked to the walls.
She hadn’t been wearing a mask then, but we had and now I couldn’t stop thinking about fucking her while she wore one too.
My intrusive thoughts were out of control.
The park was decorated too. Lanterns hung from the trees and large light installations had been set up along the walkways where kids stopped to point at a giant orange pumpkin, a huge purple spider, a white ghost.
Fog machines churned out fog while a sign directed parents to a sensory friendly area for kids.
Monster Mash played from a bandstand at one end of the park where a large sign behind the DJ read Welcome to the Blackwell Falls Harvest Masquerade, courtesy of the Prescott Foundation.
“I forgot how pretty the park is on Halloween,” Cassie said. “Or maybe I just didn’t notice because I was too focused on the candy when I was a kid.”
“Some of us outgrow that part,” Jagger said, glancing at Vigo.
“Sucks to be you,” I said.
We wandered over to the games area where Hawk won a goldfish for Cassie.
She gave it to a kid wearing a Jessie costume from Toy Story who, according to her mom, had been trying to win for the last twenty minutes, but only after removing her hawk mask because the kid looked absolutely terrified of us, Cassie included.
And I had to admit, all these little kids in costumes, clutching their candy in bags and plastic tubs, were doing something fucking weird to my chest. I usually didn’t give two shits about kids — I mean they were fine, I’d just never had the desire to become the proud owner of a little human — but now they weren’t just kids but glimpses into a possible future with Cassie.
Was there room for something so normal in our lives?
A few months ago I would have laughed at the idea. How were we — three guys more interested in how much damage we could do than in how much good we could do — supposed to raise a kid?
I wouldn’t have been able to imagine it. Wouldn’t have even tried.
Except now I was imagining it without even trying. Imagining Cassie balancing a little redhead on her hip, kissing its chubby cheeks, making it happy the way she made us happy.
Making everything good.
Fuck.
After the games, we bought pumpkin funnel cake and hot apple cider, then headed over to the haunted house.
Creepy music blared from big speakers set up on the old house’s big porch, and the windows flickered with blue light, ghostly sounds mingling with screams — both recorded and from terrified patrons — from inside the house.
The chill in the air made it impossible to forget that it would be Thanksgiving in less than month, and I couldn’t help wondering what our lives would be like then.
Cassie had accepted the mask we’d had made for her, but for all I knew, she didn’t even think it was a big deal. Maybe she just saw it as a Halloween costume instead of the VIP invitation into our lives it was.
Jagger noticed Cassie was shivering in line and gave her his leather jacket as the line inched forward and I suddenly wished I’d been smart enough to wear one just so I could be the one to get her warm.
I hadn’t had any time alone with her since the hospital, and as far as I was concerned that didn’t count.
After about twenty minutes in line, we stepped into the foyer of the Victorian where the haunted house had been set up.
The old furniture was covered in fake cobwebs and a skeletal doorman in bloody makeup welcomed us in a dramatic voice.
We followed the people in front of us up the stairs and through a series of bedrooms where various goblins and ghouls jumped out at us from closets and behind furniture and doors.
Cassie shrieked more than once, and even though I never wanted to see her scared in real life this was fun because when she got scared she inched closer to us, which meant we got to take turns putting our arms around like a fucking high school kids trying to score with our first crush instead of grown men who could totally see the strings holding up the ghosts that hovered in the corners.
We followed the line down a set of stairs at the back of the house and through an old kitchen where a man in a bloody apron was keeled over a butcher-block island with a fake butcher’s knife sticking out of his head.
We were plunged into darkness as we left the kitchen, forced to fumble our way along the pitch black hall as the creepy organ music continued to play in the background, screams breaking through every few seconds as someone got a scare.
We approached a bottleneck as the crowd around us funneled into the library up ahead. By then my eyes started to adjust to the dark and I spotted a closet in the hall.
I opened it on a whim, half expecting something to jump out at us, but nothing did.
It was just a big closet, an unused piece of real estate in the haunted house.
“What’s that?” Cassie asked next to me.
I pulled her inside and shut the door.
“What the fuck?” She said.
I laughed and backed her up against the wall in the closet where a single coat hung on the rod. “Come on, how many fake skeletons and creepy clowns can they throw at us?”
I turned my head so I could kiss her neck without jabbing her with my mask.
“What are you doing?” she asked. “What is this?”
“This is me trying to get in your pants,” I said, slipping my hand up her crop top.
I pulled down her lace bra and closed my hand around her tit.
“This is…we can’t do this.” I don’t think it was my imagination that she was a little breathless.
“Fuck in a haunted house?” I pulled my mask up on top of my head so I’d have full use of my mouth. “We totally can.”
She started to protest again but I took off her mask and kissed her before she could get the words out.
My dick was hard as an iron rod and I pressed against the cleft between her legs, reaching for one of her legs and lifting it off the ground to give me better access to her pussy.
I sank more fully against her with a groan as my tongue tangled with hers, gratified when she gave up fighting it and wrapped her arms around my neck.
The fabric of her leggings was so thin I felt the heat of her pussy on my cock even through my jeans, and I rubbed my dick against her while I devoured her mouth with mine.
She gasped when I pulled away and I lifted up her shirt and bent my head to suck her hard nipple, my cock on fire for her.
She moaned as I sucked on her tit, tangling her fingers in my hair, pulling my face more tightly against her flesh, which I definitely wasn’t complaining about because there wasn’t much that was better than being surrounded by Cassie’s glorious tits, except maybe being buried inside her pussy, which I intended to check off my Halloween bucket list ASAP.
I slid my free hand into her leggings and found her pussy soaked, which only made me harder.
“Someone’s got a haunted house kink,” I murmured against her tit.
She laughed. “Not one I knew about before tonight.”
Outside the closet, the spooky music continued to play, and I had to admit that knowing Hawk and Jagger would be wondering where we were made me a little extra turned on.
Sucks to be you, losers.
I forced myself not to penetrate her with my fingers. I wanted her hungry for me.
Instead I played with her clit, rubbing rhythmic circles on the tight little bud while I sucked on her tit.
“Vigo…”
She moved her hips, reaching for her orgasm.
“I think my little mouse wants to come,” I murmured. “We need to get these leggings off you.”
“No way,” she gasped, riding my hand. “I’m not risking being bare-assed if someone finds us.”
“No problem. I can work with this.”
She squealed when I yanked down her pants and underwear and spun her to face the closet wall.
I leaned over her from behind, rubbing the head of my dick between the folds of her slippery pussy.
“Put your hands on the fucking wall, mouse.”
She did, then pushed back against me with her ass. “Please…”
And I had to say, I was going to have to drive into her stat because she wasn’t the only one who wanted to come.
I moved her hair to kiss her neck. “Are you begging me to fuck you in a haunted house, mouse?”
“Yes!”
I guided my dick to her entrance. “Let the record show that you’re asking me to fuck you in the haunted house.”
She cried out when I drove into her.
I looked down at our joined bodies, barely able to see my dick disappearing between her thighs, her ass ripe and fleshy.
“Fuck, yes. Look at this perfect ass.”
I dragged out of her, then put my own hands on the wall over hers so that my body was stretched out over her from behind.
She was molded to me, a perfect fit, her head turned, mouth open as she gasped for breath.
I bent my head to kiss her as I dragged out of her hot pussy, then drove in again as our tongues did a feverish dance.
She moaned and I picked up my pace, pounding into her from behind while I plundered her mouth. She moved with me, our bodies slapping together in a rhythm I could barely hear over the music in the hall and the occasional screams of people making their way through the haunted house.
“I can’t fucking wait to come inside you,” I said, breaking the kiss. “That okay, mouse?”
She slammed back into me, driving me all the way inside her. “Yes!”
I reached around her body and slipped my hand between her thighs, then stroked her clit while I thrust into her again, half afraid I would hurt her with the force of it.
She cried out as she came, her tight little cunt clamping down on my dick as her body convulsed.
I was right behind her, groaning as I spilled everything into her, loving the fact that there was nothing between us, that we were like one person now.
She collapsed against the wall, her breath coming fast and shallow, her head turned so that I could just make out her beautiful face.
I rested my head between her shoulder blades, my dick still inside her.
I never wanted to leave.
“Jesus, mouse. You’re the best fucking fuck I’ve ever had.”
She laughed. “That’s a lot of fucks.”
I kissed the back of her neck. “And here’s to many more.”
It wasn’t a joke. I wanted to fuck her forever.
Wanted to love her forever.
