Chapter 41 #2
Fuck me, she’s in full-on boss mode. It’s a power play I’ve seen her dad do countless times, and I suppress my grin behind my hand because Dale is rattled.
“I don’t have all day, Mr. Lucas.” Rolling her eyes, she crosses her arms and sighs. “I have places to be, people who are worth my time to see.”
“I can see why my boy left you.” He sneers. “Too high-maintenance." To Ria’s credit, she doesn’t even flinch.
“No woman is too high-maintenance for a man who enjoys luxury. It’s called having standards and knowing your worth. Now speed this up.”
I can’t take my eyes off her. Right now, she’s being the woman she always was before Ezra beat her down.
“Fine,” he huffs. “Recently, I’ve had this horrible feeling that I’m being watched.”
“And this concerns us because?” I say.
“Because Ezra has been feeling it too.”
“Still not seeing where we fit into this.” Ria frowns.
“Who else would be having us followed? You have a point to prove. Your family has always had a feud with ours.”
“And whose fault is that?” Ria asks then sighs.
“So you admit it? You’ve had us followed?”
“Look, Mr. Lucas—” Ria starts.
“Dale.”
“I’d like to keep this professional. So, Mr. Lucas, I will only say this once.
” Gripping the back of the chair, she leans forward, staring Dale down.
“If you have someone following you, then that is your issue. It has nothing to do with us. This might surprise you, but I’m an extremely busy woman and I utilize my time effectively.
I’m afraid you aren’t even on a Post-it note on my desk of tasks I need to address.
So I suggest you leave because if someone is following you, they’ve followed you here, and I will not put my employees in unnecessary danger. ”
He stays rooted to his chair, snarling at her, but she doesn’t falter, doesn’t back down. “Did I say something you don’t understand?”
“No,” he grates out.
“Good.” Walking around the small table, she throws the door wide open. “Then leave.” And with that she walks away, her heels clacking on the marble floor.
“You heard her. Leave.” My tone is dangerous as I crowd his space. “I can have security forcefully remove you, or you can get up and walk out.”
“Fine.” He stands and throws me a menacing look. “But if I find out you have anything to do with this, I’ll come for each and every one of you.”
“I’d be more worried as to why I’m being followed, Mr. Lucas. Especially if I have nothing to hide.” He glares at me as he stands.
“What are you implying?”
“Absolutely nothing.” I smile and point in the direction of the exit.
“Goodbye, Mr. Lucas.” He moves for the door, but as he reaches it, I block his path.
“Oh, I almost forgot.” I shake my head and give him my best playful grin before morphing it into something more dangerous.
“If I ever catch you trying to intimidate Ria again, you won’t have a feeling that someone is following you, because I’ll make it damn clear that you know it’s me when I hit you so fucking hard you will be out before you even hit the floor.
I don’t give a fuck who you are or how much fucking power you think you have; I’ll ruin you.
Your power means absolutely fuck all to me, but she means everything. Do I make myself clear?”
“You don’t scare me,” he scoffs, but his eyes widen and he takes a step back when I crowd him against the office wall.
“Your eyes tell me another story, Mr. Lucas.” I wrap my hand around his throat, tightening my grip to the point of pain. His face begins to turn a deep shade of red, and he claws at my hand, trying to pull it away. “I’ll ask again.” Getting right in his face, I spit out, “Do I make myself clear?”
“Y-yes,” he stutters and I release my grip slightly.
“Good.” My smile is menacing as I take a step back and remove my hand completely and he rubs at his neck. “Off you go.” I cross my arms and tilt my head to the door.
He rushes past me and I let out a laugh. “Mind how you go, Mr. Lucas,” I call out, watching his retreating form until I know he’s out of the building, and I grab our head of security letting him know he isn’t welcome on the premises.
Rushing back into the elevator, I press the button for our floor, praying that Ria has gone back to her office and is alone.
When the door opens on our floor, I quickly head to her office, nodding and smiling at the employees scattered around.
Reaching her office, I sigh in relief when her door is open and Grace is nowhere in sight.
“Ria?” I close the door to her office behind me and scoop her up in my arms. “Baby, are you okay?”
“I’m okay. Has he gone?”
“Yeah, I made sure he left and told security he’s not to enter the building again.”
“Good.” She wraps her arms around me, my hold on her tightening.
“Baby, you were incredible in there.”
“Thank you.”
“Fuck.” I pull back, smiling proudly at her and walking her backward.
Lifting her to sit on her desk, I glide my palms up her thighs, pushing her skirt up so the top of her stockings peek out under the hem.
“You amaze me.” Cupping her face, I bring her lips to mine.
“You take my breath away,” I whisper against her lips. “Now lean back.”
“Huh?”
“Hands behind you, baby.” I slide my hands from her face down to her hips before kneeling in front of her.
“Leo.” She gasps but complies, leaning back. Her legs widen and I guide the material of her skirt higher. “We shouldn’t.” But her argument is weak as she lifts her ass so I can glide her skirt up to expose her lace-covered pussy to me.
“I need to give you this.” I pepper kisses along her exposed skin. “But this is also me taking what I fucking need.” She stares wide-eyed down at me, and I throw her leg over my shoulder. “I want your perfect fucking pussy on my tongue.”
“Leo…I…”
“I’ll stop if you don’t want this, but baby”—I drift my thumb over her slit and grin up at her—“you’re drenched for me.
” Holding her gaze, I wait for her to tell me to stop, but she arches her back, pushing her pussy into my touch.
“Good girl.” Tearing off her underwear, I put them into my suit pocket and press my tongue against her clit.
“Oh my God,” she cries as I flick my tongue faster across her clit. I’m desperate to make her come. I know she will not want to be caught, but I can’t help myself.
“You taste so fucking good. I could spend hours between your thighs.” I grip her hips and pull her hard onto my face, spearing her with my tongue.
She pants above me, and her body starts to tense.
“I want you coming all over my face.” I bury my face even more between her legs, lapping up every ounce of her pleasure.
“Leo, I’m right there. Oh God, please, Leo… don’t stop,” she pants out.
I couldn’t if I tried.
Just as I feel her muscles start to spasm, I press two fingers inside her, scooping them up to hit and stroke her G-spot.
Her hands wrap around the papers on her desk and she scrunches them into a ball.
Her legs tremble around my ears as I continue to stroke her, licking and circling her clit with my tongue as a silent scream falls from her lips and she convulses.
Removing my fingers, I suck her arousal off while she pushes up to stare down at me. “What was that for?” she says breathlessly as she repositions her skirt.
“I will always need you.” Stepping between her thighs, I brush my thumb down her flushed cheek. “But you just proved down there that you don’t need anyone else.”
“I—”
Pressing my lips to hers, I cut her off. “Don’t say you need me.” I smile against her lips. “Because you don’t, and fuck me, it’s hot.” I help her off the desk, and she pushes her skirt back down and holds out her hand. “What?” I question.
“I think you have something of mine?” She raises her brow at me.
Dropping a kiss on the tip of her nose, I whisper, “I’ll give them back to you later.” I back away and head for the door just as Grace barrels through it.
“What did Dick Face want?”
“Huh?” Ria frowns.
“Dale the Dick Lucas?”
“Oh, umm…”
“Bye, Ri Ri.” I begin to slip out of her office.
“Leo, I…” Ria stutters, her cheeks still a little flush, and it does all kinds of good things for my ego.
“Yes, Ri Ri?” Flashing her a crooked grin, I cross my arms, knowing full well she isn’t going to ask me for her panties back with Grace staring at her.
“I’ll see you later.” She straightens and gives me a small smile, just as Grace rounds her desk and reaches for the crumpled papers.
“Ria, why is the McNeal contract crumpled up on your desk?”
