Chapter 18
brION
“You dangerous as fuck,” Hymn moaned as I sucked on his earlobe while twerking on his dick.
“I haven’t even turned up all the way yet,” I whispered seductively in his ear. “The more comfortable I get with you, the more my freak is going to come out,” I promised.
Popping my shit directly in his ear, turned Hymn on. He locked his arms around my body while pumping into me. I was on top of him, but he’d taken complete control. “You better be glad you’re on birth control ‘cus when the season is over, I’m gon’ have that ass walking funny,” he growled.
“Don’t threaten me with a good time,” I replied as my stomach quaked. “Oh my God, baby,” my eyes closed, and I bit my bottom lip.
“Give me that shit,” Hymn panted as he fucked me harder. “Got damn this pussy good as fuck, baby.”
Hymn bit my neck, and the dam broke. My body jerked, and all kinds of sounds left my mouth as I came so hard, my eyes flew open.
When I felt him jerk, I knew he had released as well.
As our heart rates slowly returned to normal, we engaged in a sensual kiss that had my pussy pulsating and ready for another round.
It had been one month since Hymn got the space for me to do makeup out of.
I explained to him how important it was for me to be able to accomplish things on my own but truthfully, decorating the space and my new home was a bit much for me.
When Hymn handed me his black card to go shopping for the makeup bar, I didn’t object.
Shit, why not let a man invest in me and support my dreams for once?
I remember the early years getting my income tax refund and helping Corey get tattoo equipment.
Never once did he offer to help my makeup business grow.
I had the makeup bar set up so nice every time I walked through the door, I smiled.
Getting an actual location was the best thing I could have done.
I had gotten so many new clients just from people walking by and coming in out of curiosity.
Weekends were the busiest time for most makeup artists and even though I was in grind mode, I took Monday and Tuesdays off.
I was still working for Alisa because I needed all that dough.
Aside from the makeup bar, I was so in love with my new home.
I took my time decorating each room, and I was in love with it.
Things in my life were going so good, one day I just erupted into tears.
God had done His big one for real, and I was forever grateful.
My phone vibrated against the nightstand and instantly, my heart lurched.
It was late. Immediately, I thought of my kids.
My pulse raced even more when I grabbed the phone and saw that Corey was indeed calling.
Sitting straight up with Hymn’s dick still inside me, I answered the phone.
It was midnight. Why was he calling me at midnight?
“Hello?” I tried to keep my tone even but lowkey, I was panicking.
The moment I answered, I heard complete chaos. A woman’s screeching voice could be heard in the background.
“I need you to come get the girls because this stupid bitch is over here causing a scene, and I’m about to beat her ass.”
That was all I needed to hear. I jumped up so fast. My face burned with anger as I rushed into the bathroom to pee and try to clean myself off just a tad bit.
This was the first weekend that Corey had actually got the girls himself.
Not his mother but him, and here came the bullshit.
Having a baby daddy was the most ghetto thing I had ever done.
Hymn walked into the bathroom, confusion etched on his face. “What’s wrong?”
“Stupid is at the house arguing with his girlfriend telling me to come get my kids.” Angrily, I shook my head and laughed. “That nigga is a complete waste of space.”
“You know I’m not letting you go by yourself, right?”
My heart fell into my ass. “Oh no, I don’t think that’s a good idea.” Corey was already in a bad mood, and I wasn’t trying to make it worse.
If Hymn had as much baggage and drama with an ex as I did, I couldn’t be for sure that I would want to put up with it. I didn’t want him dragged deeper into my mess. Corey had supposedly moved on, but I knew he wouldn’t take too kindly to seeing me with Hymn, and my daughters didn’t know about him.
“I can follow you, and I won’t get out of my car unless I feel that I need to. But I’m not letting you go alone.”
I knew there was no use in arguing with him. Hymn and I were in a relationship and though it was fairly new, this wasn’t the first time he’d gone into protection mode. “Okay.”
We got ourselves together as quickly as we could and left my house.
I was glad we were at my place because it was closer to Corey.
Hymn hopped in his Lamborghini, and I knew the moment Corey saw the vehicle, he’d be foaming at the mouth.
Hymn wouldn’t even have to get out of the car to make his presence known.
But from what I heard on the phone, me and Hymn should have been the last thing on Corey’s mind.
When I thought about all the commotion and BS he had around my daughters, my jaw muscles ticked.
Corey and I didn’t even argue in front of the girls.
I didn’t do that toxic, dysfunctional bullshit in front of my children.
Now, Corey and his hood rat were probably traumatizing my poor children.
The more I thought about it, the angrier I became.
I didn’t want to end up getting arrested.
For the most part, I was a very calm person, but Corey knew better than anyone how I was about my children.
The entire drive my anxiety was on ten. The closer I got to the home that I used to share with Corey, the faster my heart pounded.
When I pulled up in front of the house, Corey was tossing clothes on the lawn, and Imani was swinging on him.
They both stopped mid-action when my car came to a stop, and Hymn was right behind me.
Doing a quick scan of the yard, I didn’t see the girls.
Wasting no time, I hopped out of my car and as suspected, Corey was glaring at Hymn’s car.
“Who the fuck is that?”
“My nigga! Where are my children? And I hope you know you won’t be getting them again.”
“Yo’ nigga,” Corey’s fists balled at his sides. “I know good and damn well you didn’t bring your nigga to my house.”
“I didn’t bring him anywhere, and he’s not thinking about you. He didn’t want me coming over here alone, and what he says goes,” I smirked. I could have sworn I saw smoke coming out of Corey’s ears.
“You got a man?” Imani asked. “Oh, that’s funny ‘cus this bastard claimed that you were keeping the kids from him because you were mad that he moved on.”
Despite my concern for the girls and how annoyed I was, I couldn’t help but to laugh. In fact, I had a good laugh at the bullshit that Imani had spewed. Her and Corey both stared at me like I was crazy as I cackled loudly.
“Baby less than a month after I left this man, he proposed to me in front of his family, friends, and our daughters. I told him NO. If I wanted him, I could have him, but that man over there in that Lambo has been taking very good care of me. In fact, when your man found out I was dealing with someone, he stopped coming to get the girls because he was trying to cockblock. If I had any advice to give you, it would be to stop listening to this lame ass nigga.”
A police car pulled up, and I pushed out a deep sigh. Leaving them to deal with their drama, I walked into the house. “Mommy!” Sky gasped with wide eyes. She looked so happy to see me. They were lined up on the couch in their pajamas.
“Y’all ready to go home?”
“Yes!” They shot up off the couch and ran to their room to get their things. They weren’t even sad about leaving. That told me a lot.
When we walked outside, two police officers were present. One was talking to Corey, and the other was talking to Imani. I rushed the girls past and in the car, I looked back at them. “I’m sorry you had to see this foolishness. Were you scared?”
Star spoke up. “I kind of was when daddy was yelling, but then when Imani hit him in the head with the frying pan, I thought daddy was hurt, and I started crying.”
“Wow.” I ran my tongue across my top row of teeth. Trying to remain calm was hard. “Have you met Ms. Imani before?” I didn’t like the slut, but she was still my kids’ elder.
“No, but daddy said she was his new girlfriend, and that we were going to have a new brother or sister,” Serenity volunteered.
“And how do you feel about that?”
“I don’t like Ms. Imani,” Sky replied.
“We can finish talking about this tomorrow. I’m going to get you girls home.”
The mother freakin’ ghetto.
I wasn’t ready to introduce the girls to Hymn just yet, but I did take them to a football game with Josie.
They were excited about it, and I was happy to be able to watch my man play.
Christmas was approaching, and he’d given me $3,000 to shop for the girls.
I was tired of telling him that he didn’t have to give me money.
I was taking everything he offered with a smile on my face.
I had done four of the WAG’s makeup before the game.
I also had another MUA come in and ask me about working at the makeup bar and paying me monthly suite rent.
Thankfully, most days, I was able to knock out whatever Alisa needed me to do in less than four hours. That job didn’t take up too much of my time, and the pay came in handy. The girls were so excited they could hardly be still.
“Sky, you’re going to drop your hot dog, baby. Calm down. It’s okay,” I laughed.
“Any word from bitch boy?” Josie asked in a low tone.
