Chapter 39

CHAPTER 39

KAYLA

A month’s flown by, and here we are, my Alphas and I having dinner with Mom in her new home—Ryker’s cabin. The scent of cooking lasagna and garlic.

“Kayla, honey, set the table,” Mom says. There’s a new brightness to her like she’s shedding years with each moment spent away from Gary.

Plus Gary, after a long hospital stay, filed for divorce and paid Mom a hefty spousal one-time payment. Enough that she never has to work in the back-breaking diner ever again or anywhere else. But I know my stepdad didn’t have any money cause it all went to booze.

Ryker had to have donated the funds. When I asked him about, he had just said, “Let’s just say Gary suddenly found his conscience.”

Ten minutes later, we dig into the food, none of us talking cause we’re too busy stuffing our faces.

“Your mom makes a killer lasagna,” Liam comments, his grin wide as he shovels another mouthful, lips glinting with a trace of tomato sauce.

“Dane chuckles, raising an eyebrow in silent agreement, his plate nearly licked clean.

“Cooking is like love, it should be entered into with abandon or not at all.” Mom hands him the spatula.

“Well said.” Dane serves himself another piece.

The cabin’s filled with laughter and the robust aroma of garlic and herbs, the warmth of the oven still lingering.

My heart’s so full it could burst, because these men, my alphas, they’re more than I ever dared hope for. And I want nothing more than to remain tangled up in this life with them forever.

“Here’s to new beginnings,” I raise my glass, a toast to the unexpected turns that brought us to this moment.

“New beginnings,” they echo, clinking glasses.

An hour later, I pull away from the warm embrace of my mom, the scent of her rose garden still clinging to her clothes.

“We’ll see you next week.” I wave bye and then slide into the backseat of the car, flanked by Liam and Dane. Ryker’s behind the wheel, his eyes meeting mine in the rearview mirror briefly.

The engine hums, vibrations traveling through the leather seats as we head back to the mansion.

My life is absolutely perfect.

The city lights blur past, and I lean back. Liam’s on my left and Dane on my right, both of their scents filling me and I press my thighs together, eager to get back to our own home.

But then, Ryker doesn’t take our exit. I sit up straighter. “Wait, where are we going?”

Liam’s hand finds my thigh, his touch sending sparks of anticipation skittering across my skin. “To Ryker’s new jet.” He smirks.

“Shut up.” I gasp.

Dane’s fingers trace circles on my other thigh that make me squirm.

“Ryker laughs, and I can hear the grin in his voice. “Too late to take that back now.”

“Yeah,” Liam’s breath is warm against my neck, his lips grazing my skin. “You said we could join the mile-high club after we visited your mom, remember? But then that didn’t happen ‘cause we brought her with us from your old house. But now...now it’s just us.”

My pulse races, and I try to steady my breathing. The thought of being high above the world with them, no rules, no boundaries, just endless sky—it’s erotic.

“Let’s fly then.”

And as if to get me to consider having sex in a car, Liam and Ryker kiss me, their hands on my body, making me forget everything except them.

Ryker takes a sharp right, and suddenly we’re pulling into an airstrip that stretches out like a dark ribbon against the night.

The car slows to a stop, and there it is—a jet, sleek and silver under the moonlight. It’s massive. My heart thumps, a mix of nerves and excitement.

Liam opens the door for me, helping me out of the car. The cool night air brushes over me.

I jog up to the plane, leaving the guys to follow. I’m eager—no, I’m starving—to see what decadent secrets lie within.

The interior is all brown leather and chrome, luxury screaming from every stitch and polish. I run my hand over a seat, the material is soft and cool against my skin.

“Welcome aboard,” Liam murmurs behind me as he closes us in with a click.

“Dane,” Ryker instructs, “Get us up into those clouds.”

“Roger that.” Dane moves to the cockpit and starts up the engines.

And I giggle, peeling off my jeans, then my T-shirt, until I’m standing there in nothing but matching black lace bra and thong.

“Hey, we’re still on the ground, kitten,” Liam grins, but he’s taking off his shirt too.

“So?” I shrug, “You don’t think you can last long enough to get airborne?”

“Who said anything about one and done?” Ryker unbuttons his shirt. “I plan on fucking you everywhere on this fucking jet...the cockpit, the seats, and in the shower.”

“Challenge accepted.” I stride up to them, running my hands up their sculpted chests.

Touching them sends a rush of heat through me, pooling lo

Liam chuckles, the sound low and dirty. “You’re eager,” he says huskily as his hands find my hips.

“Always.” My breath hitches as his thumbs hook into the lace at my sides.

Ryker leans in, his lips brushing mine. “Good,” he rasps. “Because once we’re up there—” He nods towards the ceiling, where the sky waits, an ocean of stars just beyond our reach. “—you’re ours.”

“Am I now?” The words come out as a taunt, but my heart beats against my ribs. Excitement. Anticipation. Fear. All tangled together in a delicious knot.

“Definitely,” Dane calls from the cockpit, his voice threaded with laughter. “Seatbelts until we hit cruising altitude, though.”

“Details,” I scoff, even as Liam’s hands slide to the small of my back, drawing me into the solid warmth of his body.

Ryker captures my chin, tilting my face up to meet his stormy gaze. “Every detail matters, Kayla,” he says before claiming my mouth with his, fierce and possessive.

The plane starts to move, a gentle rumble beneath our feet. We’re still on the runway, but it doesn’t matter. Not when every touch, every kiss, promises so much more than a simple flight.

Liam’s lips trail down my neck, sending shivers over my skin. “Airborne or not,” he whispers, his breath hot against my ear. “We’ll make you soar.”

“All three of you already do.”

The word dissolves into a gasp as lips and teeth nip at my neck, shoulders, and back.

Liam hand guides mine to the waistband of his pants and his cock jumps at my touch.

“You’re our obsession. Our Omega.” Ryker growls, pressing against my back so I can feel just how much he wants me.

The plane accelerates, lurching forward as Ryker’s hands skate over my bare skin, mapping out every curve and dip as if he’s claiming me all over again. His scent—smoke and leather—swirls around us, intoxicating and potent.

“Fuck,” I breathe out, caught in a whirlwind of sensation as Liam frees himself. The sight alone sends a shot of heat straight to my core.

“Language,” Ryker teases, but there’s an edge to it, a dark promise.

“Like you’re one to talk.” My retort is breathless, punctuated by a moan as Liam steps closer, his hardness poking my thigh.

“Got you there,” Liam chimes in with a chuckle, his calloused hand sliding higher up my leg, teasing the edge of arousal.

Ryker fists my hair, pulling my head to the side toward him. His lips crush against mine again, swallowing my gasp as Dane announces from the cockpit, “Strap in for takeoff.”

Liam’s mouth traces a path along my collarbone.

“Best be ready, Kayla,” Ryker growls low in my ear, “because we’re just getting started.”

I’m burning up, wanting them inside me. But Liam takes his time, dipping down to my bra, freeing one breast then the other. Lavishing each in turn while Ryker strokes his fingers back and forth across my folds, but never slipping inside.

A gasp escapes me, my legs feeling like they’re going to give way. I hold onto Liam’s biceps as they drive me to near madness with their teasing tongues and hands.

Finally, Dane cusses from the cockpit, then untangles himself from the seatbelt. “Autopilot’s on.”

Liam moves to my other breast and Dane takes the one he left and I moan, aching for them

My world narrows down to the three Alphas surrounding me, their touches, their scents, their raw need. And I know, without a doubt, that whatever heights we reach tonight, it won’t be because of the jet. It will be us—entwined, connected, unstoppable.

“Take me higher than the stars,” I plead, and they oblige.
