Chapter 15

I run my hand through my hair as I blow out a breath. We really got to let our omega go out into the world unmarked, huh?
That’s some bullshit. I lock my door and throw myself down into my fancy computer chair. Nowadays I don’t do a ton of content here, but originally I did. I grab my phone and take a minute to get in the right headspace. I put my phone in the holder and hit ‘go live.’
I lean back and cross my arms, eyes on my left most monitor. People start hopping on immediately.
Questions start rolling in.
“Yeah, I’m fine, guys,” I say, running my hand through my hair again. “Busy, like I told you guys. Nothing big. Just stressed.” I tilt my head. “Bummed, maybe.”
More questions.
“Haha, no, seriously, everything is fine. The pack is fine.”
I read a question aloud, “Is this about a girl?” I sigh and smile at the camera. “Can’t reveal all my secrets. Anyway,” I say as I stand and stretch, pulling off my shirt with one arm. “I thought y'all might want to watch me shift. I wanted to get a short nap in fur form.”
Positive responses pour in. I grin at the camera and drop my jeans, knowing my phone mount is aimed high enough that I won’t flash them. Letting my body relax, I close my eyes.
I know Mads took some shit for me shifting on camera. He kept the drama from me though, and dealt with it without complaint. Cuz he’s a great alpha. An incredible leader. So if he thinks we let our mate walk out… I guess I’ll go along with his plan.
I think about my wolf form and just… let it happen.
Suddenly, I’m a huge wolf, fur a blonde shade.
I shake hard, my ears perked. The tiny pings are coming constantly, but I’ve learned to tune it out.
No, my ears swivel towards the door even as I hop up onto my bed.
I circle a few times and curl up, laying my tail over my nose.
My eyes close but my ears are still focused down the hall, towards Adira slowly packing, but shift towards Corbin and Maddox arguing.
I’m not sticking my nose into that, hell no. Those two are… a lot.
It takes a long time for me to fall asleep, despite how exhausted I am.
